  • You are right that deafhood concept is about to help us understand ourselves better

  • Wow you are right that asl is equal to English and it is very natural you did do your good job to tell pl to understand the meaning of deafhood. Dr padd is a wonderful soul who cares about us real deaf people. We Maybe need to babysit pl wow we have to be a hearing person. No no no way.

  • @dmfsmartfox thanks for the response. I really appreciate your comment positively. I hope people will realize that we are doing for the best interest for Deaf community. I know it is not easy but that is the way we live!

  • Thank you so much for your vlog! No wonder too many oral/auditory educators pulled many of us down on purposely without using ASL education for so many years!!!! Oh gosh pray and hope PL will wake up to understand this!!! MWAH!!!

  • @PopeMistress hey good to see you again! Yes we need to becareful of what we say without any thinking. Yes Oralism is the root of evil. We have to stop that. Oralism is not about right but is oppression.

  • Excellent. I am proud to you. full agree with you. Betty

  • @deafBettyBoop Hu Betty.... thanks for your response. Good to see you!

  • Gooood vlog! PL doesn't understand what's it about so he blames it on them...but he should be blaming on himself for not trying to read more books to improve his english...that's what I did...read read and improved. Should blame on the hearings that looked down on us Deaf people and thinking they can fix us up...saying we need to speak like them...and depriving us to first learn early ASL education...most of us learned to speak instead of educ...no wonder many of us are behind! Not our fault!

  • @DeafPoet2 Hey there, thanks for your response. Due to education failure that has caused so many serious challenges for Deaf people. Deaf people are NOT low level people. I have met many of them and they are brilliant in many ways even better than me. Yes Deafhood book is difficult to read but we can try our best to understand and share discussion with other people to help us understand better. It is relative new. Deafhood.us is the first one to open the door for everyone.

  • Thanks for making the vlog. I am puzzled about PL's vlog on Paddy Ladd and deaf leaders. We still have so much work to do to help send out positive message on Deafhood.

  • @WonderGent Hey WonderGent, thanks for stopping by! In fact, it is easy to be attacked than to be praised or supported. However, I know PL has heart and I think he is frustrated and hope he realizes that his vlog has offended people and hope he will make the right decision about what to do with his vlog.

  • Good to know that you explained clearly. I made my vlog called "Condensed books".

  • Good to know that you explained so clear. I made my vlog called "Condensed books".

  • @willearl2 I watched your vlog. Thanks for sharing it with us. Yes we are working on that. It takes years to develop books (basic and middle) deafhood books.

  • Hey its good to see you here! Glad you made this video! I was disgusted what PL said about Paddy.. Hope he sees your video..

  • @DEAFWOMYNPRIDE Hi there. Good to see you again! Yes I am very disappointed in his vlog and I hope he reconsiders it.... Keep in touch! hugs

  • I fully agreed with you 110%. I was disappointed with Raul ( PL ) himself played game head with the Deaf people for those are too smart.. Raul needs to take course in English level to read well but he cant do well. It is very sad.. He loved to working a workshorse..

  • @cbroyals1954 Hi there,

Thanks for your response. I share your disappointment about his vlog. I hope he understand that we are working damn hard to make sure Deafhood is for everyone ASL in website and basic book that would take years to finish.

  • Thank YOu for explaining so clear Thumb Up!

  • @JaceyJas Thanks!

  • Thank you.

  • @ASLIrongal Your welcome

  • Very good Vlogg!

  • @TheStralie Thank you

  • Right on, Deafchip. I've said it all along that book was originally written for university professors/academies to dissent. I'm glad that book opened the doors wide for the rest of Deaf people who got their hands on Paddy's book. Sure, the book is hard but did we give up? No, we keep going until we understand it better.

I'm really glad that deafhood.us site is made for ASL to widen more audience.

  • @InsaneMisha Hi InsaneMisha,

Right on! Deafhood book is very new (not yet 10 years) and even younger than 9/11. We all are learning and discussing that would take years to build up our new network and new resources. Yes we are very much aware of many people who are struggling to read a very academic book. We are working DAMN hard to set up a new Deafhood website (in ASL) for participants... I am sad that we have been attacked by him. Hope he reconsiders!
