how did you get crysis running with the specs stated at the start of the video. I've tried crysis on the same spec machine (6860fx) and i can only get it to run with minimal settings. but from this video it looks ten times better from what i can achieve.
Buy a full copy of vista. Put it into your dvd drive or whatever your using. Then boot from the disk and format your hard drive and install vista. Make sure that you download all of your drivers and backup your personal files and things like that first.
i cant wait till i get this laptop, hopefully tomaro! i plan on eventually upgrading cpu to an intel t9300 ( 2.5 ghz) some are available for between 250 and 300 dollars if you're lucky, still for any other laptop with these specs is like 2000+ dolars anyways. cool vid, nice song, saliva???
Awesome vid i have the gateway fx myself and it plays crysis flawlessly my model is the p-172s 2ghz Intel core 2 duo 88oom gts with 512mb 3gig system memory 17" screen @1920x1200 res slot loaded DVD burner 802.11n wireless needless to say i love my notebook i can run every game my desktop can run with 60 or more fps except crysis which is about 45 fps which is not bad at all.
Wow, I didn't know you could upgrade the screen in laptops. How much does that kinda thing cost? Is it a complicated process? I'm laptop shopping and this is looking like the one I'm gonna get, but the higher resolution would be great.
how did you get it to run that high?
awsome BTW

Post a video. You will be the first to do so I believe. There is not enough coverage on that specific laptop anywhere.

Wouldn't it be more practical to play through it on medium? Better frames. What was the a typical fps in this vid?
FaronCuca 3 years ago
What was the average fps? Even with fraps?
FaronCuca 3 years ago
about 70

Hey youll get about 5-10 more frames a second with the gateway p fx 172xl since it has a 2.4 gig pros. which is a better pros for gaming.

nice, I wish this one had a higher res. screen, I'll probably put a t9300 or x7800 into this laptop in a few months.
