  • 1:03 he trumped

  • if they bring back a EXACT REPLICA. id pay 40 bucks for it. Of corse, some major differences to it.

  • how the hell did u manige to get one f these?

  • i'm a kid and i can't find any good toy guns out there. except on toy arsenal.com but the airsoft and toy guns they have are way too expensive.

  • I'm convinced they have removed "good toy" (Ones like this gun) from the english language. :(

  • What the fuck man..? They used to cost $7.00! Now Three Hundred? Fucking Mattel..

  • NICHOLAS CAGE?????????

  • Wheres the 38 that came with the detective set?

  • @Masamune364 That was the burst. This one's the BURP.

  • how did u get that!!!!!

  • Now thats a REAL Toy...

  • Had one when I was a kid. Wish I still had it. Also had a 30cal machine gun with the tripod and a cardboard tube in the front. Remember it shot blue bullets. Too bad our old things as a kid don't survive!

  • This looks like a really Tommy nowadays it would a huge ugly orange tip and would b made out of cheapass plastic

  • @jetsam5000...times have changed, most parents are really chickenshit scared that their children will become criminals after they play with this toy gun.

    They make excuses like:

"I don't want my kid to become a criminal"

"I don't like the way it's designed...A fruity color like pink and orange like those super soakers will be more like it. "

"I don't want them to imitate...it's too dangerous!"

"It looks like a gun Rappers use"

You see? Most Adults still whine like children

  • @v10m They are collectables, a toy from the 50s. people like you will play with it, break it, it will wear and tear. There aren't many good qaulity ones left in the world.

  • looks like a real gun

  • @theotherhomer Because kids were killed by cops because the guns were too realistic

  • you said 1858

  • where do u get it?

  • Why can we not have toys made like this anymore..? I want this so bad... Lol

  • thompson!!!

  • @Baybladers4Life their the same thing. Tommy gun is just a nickname

  • omg it looks like a thompson? well to me anyways. and if u know can u tell me the difference between a tommy gun and a thompson? cuz they look alike

  • i got one of these with the box if you got the cash i will sell.

  • damn you get extremely lucky when you get them

  • its looks like the ww2 verson of the tompson

  • i wanna play with it, fuck those nerf guns, what happened to these badass toys

  • @austinguy32 ...These toys were phased out, sadly, by my idiot generation, the 60's peace freaks, who HATED anything military or manly. The wussifying of America began then and continues. You and Kingddd333 have the right idea! Masculine toys for boys. We had many of the guns as a child that this man shows, and (GASP!) didnt grow up to be the predicted murderer! We spent 4 yr. in the military, learned to respect real guns (thanks to having cool toys) and want a ballsy company to make more.

  • WHY MUST TOYS TODAY SUCK AND TOYS BACK THEN BE AWESOME

  • @Kingddd333 holy shit i know!!!!!!!!

  • @Kingddd333 ...because of the wussyfying of our country. We agree...toy guns back then were great, and our parents, rather than wussing out on their responsibilities, taught us NOT to point them at cops! To be respectful of guns, and have FUN. Now you cant even PLAY on a "playground" because you "might get hurt"! Well, you might NOT!! LOL We are with you in spirit, sir.

  • why can't they make toys the good way any more

  • @MrGunnyboddy i know ur pain, brother.

  • HAHAHAHA!

Because you just bot it :D

  • thompson?

  • Why can't they just reintroduce these toys to us again, everybody would buy it cuz you know kids these days, always with their violent video games and such!

  • Let's shoot it! :D

  • thats not a TOMY GUN THATS

    a thompson submaching gun

  • Were these like the first cap guns

  • one time me and my one friend were going through his basement and we found one of these i didnt know how old it was till now

  • i love that guy and how did you get it

  • Omg been taken out 3 times ooooo amaizing!!! Not wata fag but man i want that gun @_@

  • Oh c'mon man! I want to see you shoot it! please?

  • oh why cant they make em' like they used to

  • Boyo this brings back some really good memories. Thanks friend.

  • hey plz tell me where you buy it???

  • that is worth a shit load

  • Holy Moses, it's a time capsule! A brand new 1958 burp gun with it's box, what are the chances? I've seen the ad for the Tommy Burst play set, man is that cool!

  • ohh thats the airsoft granfather

  • That is S W E E T!! I can vaguely remember it. I had a tri pod 50 cal that used batteries and the red muzzle went back and forth. I don't remember who made that but it was the talk of the neighborhood kids at the time.

    Thanks for taking us back.

  • @mspblue-I think the 50 caliber you are referring to is a toy made by the Marx Toy company called "Gung Ho". There is a Gung Ho video here on youtube. Check it out and see if it was the toy you remember. It was battery operated. Deluxe Reading Corporation made a very large replica of the Browning 50 caliber machine gun that didn't need batteries and it was called Defender Dan. They are hard to find and very expensive.

  • @dezurtdude2 My tripod "50" was all black. otherwise, it was identical.

  • this was my gun when i was a kid! !!terrific to see it again!

and jetsam, you CAN buy it now, check ebay! great to think that a guntoting war playin little kid like me could grow up to be a big tree hugging goddess loving pagan!

  • Why can't we toys like these anymore?

  • @jetsam50000

Because dipshits think we will get ideas to kill people

  • @jetsam50000 Because, according to my dipshit parole officer, "Columbine Changed Everything". He told me that because of a crack I made in school, and it got me in a world of shit. That's one of the many things that fucking prick told me.

  • @jetsam50000 Unfortunatly because a bunch of hippy fiminist wussies (rhymes with) have taken over our country and have fiminized all the boys and men.

  • @jetsam50000 Probably because kids prefer to shoot each other with real guns now.

  • @jetsam50000 ya i would love that

  • @jetsam50000 Because they are 'too violent' for todays youth and set a bad example / only terrorists carry one.

  • @jetsam50000

Because hippie faggots have turned most Americans into tremendous pussies. Instead of badass toy guns and plastic army men, little boys now play with stuffed animals and listen to Justin Bieber.

  • @mrfairport OMG JUSTIN BIEBER!! I LOVE HIM TOO!!!

  • @CuddlyBadger

    Cool story bro.

  • @jetsam50000 SERIOUSLY!!!!!??? Why can't toy makers just give up the stupid "make money sell shit" scheme and sell good toys for the same price! Yea, I know, lower profit margin, but the key word is LOWER I didn't say NO PROFIT!!!! So common toy makers DO IT LIKE YOUR DADDIES DID!!!

  • @jetsam50000 Bro i am totally with ya!!!! I WANT THESE

  • i wanna see it fired...

  • If you took this to the Antiques Road Show in this condition, you would probably get about $6,000.00 to $8,000.00 for it. It's a true beauty! Thanks for posting!

  • How much$!?

  • it's rare for a toy gun to have any kind of detail these days.

  • i wish i had that gun

  • Your extremley lucky to have all this old expensive sh**! lol

  • i would love to have dat gun and play with it even im 11

  • I want one

  • lol i love what u say at the end :)

  • were did you get it

  • Awesome where can i get one? Ebay, amazo, anywhere?

  • very old early fifties

  • they dont make toys like this anymore

  • arent you going to shoot it?

  • :o How much is that worth!

  • Like 400-500 dollars.

  • sweet

  • the original one was the tommy burst

  • I'm not so sure about that. I beg to differ, and it is my understanding that the Tommy Burp came out first. The design of the Tommy Burst is far more innovative and more realistic than the Tommy Burp crank version. Why would Mattel first develop the Tommy Burst and then introduce a more archaic version that requires turning a crank? Doesn't make sense, but, "Hey, I could be wrong".

  • u have any fanner 50 mattel gun

  • Dude! -You got the best stuff

  • can you still get them? cos i want one. im 10by the way

  • They aren't produced anymore but you can get them from sellers on ebay, or from others who deal in vintage toys. This toy was made in 1958.

  • aw no demonstration? thats ok you have to resist the urge

  • anybody ever see a toy maybe REMCO with tommy gun, bi-pod, bayonet, helmet with netting, mess kit, canteen and .45 pistol with holster?? let me know

  • how much for a bad example (working)

  • Not having seen your toy gun it is hard for me to make an assessment of its value, however, I've seen ones that weren't in the greatest shape, but still worked go anywhere from $49.00 to about $150.00 on Ebay. The example I've shown above would be in the $300.00+ range.

  • @dezurtdude well you sell it?

  • where did you get it

  • A mint condition can easily go for 200+ on ebay.

  • It is matter of preference and quite frankly, I would have just let you express your opinion, however, you seem to revell in slamming my videos. Playing with a mint toy ruins its value. Do me a favor, you stick to your trains, and I'll stick to my old toys.

  • @dezurtdude jeez man it was just a question.

  • @dezurtdude toys are made to be played with. go have fun with it, not let it sit in your closet and look at it!

  • Why do they call some guns "Burp" guns?

  • I think the term "burp gun" refers to the "ba-rappppppp" (rat-ta-tat) sound it makes. The subsequent Mattel machine gun was called the "tommy burst" gun and has a bolt you pull back to fire as opposed to this gun that is crank operated.

  • @odyseus6666 they call them burp guns cuz they were 45. and sub guns

  • @odyseus6666 Because after you wasted someone you'd walk over and belch in their dead face.

  • thanks for the info

  • where did u get that, i want one

  • Hi,

This was purchased from a guy who had some old toy store stock and this was part of it. Good luck finding one like this. This is a real rarity. You can Google Mattel Tommy Burp Gun and you'll find a western cap gun website called Nichols or something like that and there is a mint one there (the only other mint one I've other than mine) as well as other cool Mattel Machine Guns. Worth a look!

    Chuck

  • hey check out my video i have a 1960s vintage toy german luger in it the name of the vid is mission impossible 4 the benjamin factor

  • how much would this go for
