Larry David (the character) is offensive. That's the premise of the show, he offends everyone with whom he comes into contact. What makes the show funny is that he tries to make ammends with those he has offended, but inevitably makes it worse, because he is such a horrible human being. This is why fans of the show absolutely love him, myself included.

Larry David (the character) is offensive. That's the premise of the show, he offends everyone with whom he comes into contact. What makes the show funny is that he tries to make ammends with those he has offended, but inevitably makes it worse, because he is such a horrible human being. Christiantiy is quite a bit larger and more influential than Islam is here in the USA wouldn't you say? Would it not make sense? I don't consider that bashing...I consider it bad comedy.

RE: David, he believes there's nothing sacred in comedy. Both Jewish & Christian comics believe this. But Jews never revered Christ to start like almost all Christian comics. So to them it's all ok.

Not at all. My parents got divorced 4 years after I was born. But I've got plenty of friends who grew up with single parents, or are single parents themselves, and they're perfectly fine. It was a comedy and it was hardly an attack on a religion Propo. I don't watch or care for the show but come on now....in a world full of people seeing Jesus in french fries...oil spills ...waffles...tree bark and cheetos...it's nothing more than a gross poke at them.
I grew up in Catholic school with nuns and Jesuits....don't tell me all the jokes about growing up around them are an attack on christianity too. Lighten up....next you'll say there's a war on Christmas.

Jesus was more than likely not even real. The "virginity" of Mother Mary doesn't prove that he is the son of god. The books contridict weather Jesus was was born in Bethlahem or Nazareth. Ceasar Agustus never made people go take a census. Corinius was not the govenor of Syria in that year. I mean from the historicity point of view the bible doesn't say anything and is full of fabrications. If you are comfortable with those facts, then I guess you can be a believer.

I didn't just hear this from just one Jew. Every single one of All my Jewish friends did say Jewish is not a race but a religion. So they are Jews and they recognize that fact I do not believe most jewish people really believe in race or religions. They just believe in mt-DNA. Not all hollywood is owned by Jews. CBS is bought by Sony in the 80s AOL is bought by Saudi prince after 911. But if you had a half a brain you would still choose a Jew in charge of running the whole operations. They are just simply too good at it. Hell if they are that great I don't see why they cannot be in charge of media in different countries. Like Japan or Saudi Arabia for examples.

Anticrombie....I too was raised Catholic...yeah we did make fun of other religions. I certainly heard a bunch from my Baptist friends in Texas here. I think some equate turning the other cheek as a threat to their masculinity.....sad because that's what their religion tells them to do...perhaps there's a reason for that concern. It appears this country has produced a whole segment of whiners.
