Fucking hated this song until I saw this guy open for Our Lady Peace at Metropolis in MTL in 1994 (or was it 95...shit maybe even 96...I don't know...it's all kind of a haze). This guy showed up Our Lady Peace big time (yes I was young and stupid and didn't realize how horrible OLP was at the time). This guy has skills. Glueleg, on the other hand, was the least popular of the three bands and they showed up Our Lady Peace AND Spookey. Miss the Canadian 90's rock scene.

Wow. This song has been a mystery to me for the last 15 years. My sister's old boyfriend left a "Fresh Meat" 1994 CD at our house once and I've been listening to it now and then ever since. Everytime this song came on I would say "What the hell?" It's kind of neat and kind of retarded. This is what the 90s were all about, putting as much weird stuff in your video as time would allow. Huh, turns out it was some weird Canadian kid filming himself getting pushed around.

i just combed through it and didn't see any drug references. if doing drugs has taught me anything, it's that a lot of people who look like they might do drugs really don't, it's just image and their idea of 'cool'. Either way, the song is about his wanting to get out of that phase of life anyway.

Thanks for posing this video. I've been searching for it online for a long time. It's such a tough song to find if you don't know the name of the track or the artist. I saw this video twice before. Once when I was 12 on MuchMusic where I was just blown away by the weird chorus and silly imagery, which left an impression. Very odd and creative video. One of my favourites.
