@col11234 All that your speaking of I am with you! I watch Simcha Jacobovici which I am a huge fan, as now I am with you. I believe all of this, I was raised Catholic, I seen alot of corruption in the church about male dominance, all this makes sense. Over 30 Gospels written, that right there says alot! All hidden, it's the Romans, the Jews, it's all Politic's and a huge cover up. I should of been a Biblical Archaeologist right out there with you, I have been following and studying for so long.

@col1n1234 honestly - I think we all play a path and Judas was part of the prophectic story - it was going to happen. think about when they came and got Jesus and one of the apostles took his sword and cut off the ear of one of the guards - instead of fighting - Jesus tells him to put his sword away - cures the ear - then goes about - cause what has been has to be done. We dont know what God has in for Judas - is he in hell or did he serve time there - we are not 100% sure
@col1n1234 God like any other parent wants their children to grow in to better than what they currently are. So do not take old scriptures too literal since religion has always been a tool for power/control. In your heart you know the difference between right and wrong,good and evil. Think of it this way who better to ask to end your life than your best friend if you knew you had to die? Just live good, treat people with respect and more importantly an open heart and mind. :)
@MimeXperience The diferent Gospel is when you think you can add something to the death of Jesus on the Cross. When you think for example: Well Jesus died for us but I have to study the gospel of Judas, or pray 10 ave marias every days or give every month 100 $ to the poors or I wont get to heaven. Don't get me wrong I find it a good think to give money to the poors unless there only lazy to work. Somebody gets ONLY to heaven if he REPENTS and ACCEPTS Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

I have came into some info my friends that is incredible, I will say this and you should listen to me, do not follow anything... believe in Jesus ONLY! because that will be the light you need to follow when everything goes dark, If you want to trust one thing then trust this I aint no preacher but I tell you this.. the catholic priest decides who is forgiven for sins? where did the apostals ever do this? as stated in this book, its is only god, god of the UNIVERSE who comands, noone else

@tazpi no my friend you have that wrong. A real Christian asks question and takes nothing at face value alone.God teaches us that there are many devils in the world trying to deceive us. Also, because this world is ruled by Satan right now it wouldn't surprise me if some gospels got left out but because they were part of what God wanted they were not destroyed. Would you rather see our savior Jesus condemning a man to hell or helping him to see heaven? I could see him doing the 2nd not 1st.

@sub7AV Don't try to manipulate. Even if the gospel of Judas does'nt say Jesus doesn't died for our sins. Did the gospel of Judas confirm that Jesus died for our sins? The fact is the gospel of Judas is not inspired by God.
@tazpi Of course Jesus died for our sins, The whole reason behind him on the cross which is why he asked Judas to sacrice the man that clothes him, why else would he die?
It is very very clear throughout MANY texts that Christ would come and die for the sins of mankind to open the afterlife for us.
@sub7AV Even if you acknolege that Jesus died for our sins that doesn't mean you are saved. You have to repent for your sins (turn away from your sins) and acept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and then follow him and obey him.
These Gnoctic Gospels was know in the years 100AD and 300 AD and was thrown in the trash can then and now we think we have found something great !
The Gnoctics wrote a book for just about everybody they want to tell their story ! Even the yard boys had a book wrote by them ! I beleive this to be true. This book actually makes sense of Judas! For years it has baffled historians as to why Judas would betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. There was no motive, 30 pieces was not a lot, and Judas knew he would be murdered once people found out. Which this explains his hanging.
@Dcole11 30 pieces of silver then was now like $10,000.00. how many people that would betray somebody for $10,000.00 ? if you ask for real, you would have a line 10 miles long waiting to do the betrayal of anybody . Man will do anything for $10,000.00, but you will always have about 25% that would not,but still that is a small number who would not betray someone ! The earliest gospel was written is Mark, followed by gospel according of Matthew, Luke, and the last, John. In gospel of Mark, Judas doesn't appeared as a fully betrayal. Then followed by Matthew, who was wrote Judas as a fully betrayal, then John was wrote that Satan influence Judas. Oh alright, but why do you call Jesus lord? If he was god than the whole thing wouldn't make sense since it would be god killing himself to forgive himself. Also if you're saying it was god who was crucified than that means he interfered with our free will.

People keep missing the reason for his coming into the world, and all the events that led up to his crucifixion. If the events did not unfold as God planed then there would be no lamb slain for the sins of people. All things happened, as they should have; and Gods plan was laid out perfectly. Judas is not in hell he had a task he had to carry out even though it was unbeknown to him.
This doesn't change anything. If this is true, then obviously it would look like to the other disciples that Judas just betrayed him for no reason. There is still a God, there is still a Jesus, there are still rules we must follow to go to heaven.

there were over 30 gospels, everybody beleived different things them days which is to be expected from personal interpretation and speculation. There are many contradictions in the bible, imagine how many there would be if Constantinte kept all the gospels and "holy writings". We only need 4 gospels though to prove that its all lies.
Gnosticism is not a religion, for the record. Like Buddhism, it is a philosophy. There is some Truth in all religions. But there is no one true religion. If there were, we would all be following it.

We are all part of a glorious manifestation of consciousness, and the Jesus that I read up on knew this and taught this. If you give it some thought, the very thought you are thinking is an incredible thing, and that is the gift we have been given. We are all unique, creative, and wonderful creatures. No sin, no judgement, and no hell but the one you make yourself.
@turtle4aire That's interesting, because Jesus was a Jew and Jews don't believe in a devil. In Judaism Satan/Lucifer remains an angel in service of God, who brings your sins before Him. So tell me where this Satan/Devil comes from out of a religion that never held a belief in him or in the concept of hell. Your bible has been heavily edited over the years by men with an agenda, mistranslated and even contained a forgery until the 15th century.
@belad0nna we need to stop this who is right and who is wrong arguments with religion.. accept jesus and follow nothing but this teaching, dont get caught up in worldy arguments about evolution and which religion is right because they are sadly "plant trees in his name in a shamefull manner". trust in Jesus and confess sins to him not a preist and you will be saved. why do people need to be proven through books and stuff, fact leaves no room doubt, faith is needed for faith is trust in Jesus.
@sub7AV but it's a book that claims Jesus as saviour. So you can't say ignore books when you need a book to support your own statement. I take my prayers directly to the God and Goddess, I value the teachings of Jesus and other spiritual masters, and I keep my mind open to always learn and grow spiritually. I couldn't do that if I am restricted by a religion that tells me how and what to believe. I have never needed to be 'saved' because there is nothing to be 'saved' from.

i would like to keep an open mind and heart bcoz i would like to know the truth about the gospel of Judas...but can anyone answer the question of Pastor Myron Vierra : If it was Jesus' plan for Judas to betray Him, why would Jesus label Judas the "son of perdition" (John 17:12), and state that it would have been better if Judas had never been born (Matthew 26:24)? If Judas were simply following Jesus' instructions, why would he commit suicide once he saw that Jesus was condemned (Matthew 27:5)?

I have this whole documentary on DVD. It's awesome! Those actors did a well job portraying the characters of Jesus, Judas and the other disciples. And this Judas looks very handsome, and he does well betraying Jesus, very dramatic acting! And Jesus is quite good as well. Anyone knows what the actors' names?

The problem with christians (with a small 'c') is that they view such material only to confirm their pre-existing views, rather than genuinely discover new perspetives. As a result the world becomes full of dangerous heretics and their lives drift further from the example given by Jesus.

Judas committed suicide because since Jesus was his most beloved and trusted friend who has always been there for him; he was aware of Jesus' coming death so his great sadness caused him to hang himself. i believe Judas is innocent.:D

well... gloomysunday87, thirty pieces of silver is very expensive during Jesus' time. I bet since Judas is the treasurer, they used the money for important stuff like food and clothes..etc. So, they didn't have the time to keep money for themselves.

The Assassin were not all just a group of killers as their name applies (although the term did come from these people who did this at one point; study a little classical hermeneutics please) they were actually one of the ethnic groups of the northern kingdom (messianic ancient Israel; where Jesus was from and vs. southern Judah with the temple in Jerusalem and the focus on the priest class.) It's likely that Jesus himself had assassin (actually hassassin) stock as well (not sure though.)
Written in 200 AD or transcribed in 200 AD. What is remarkable is that much of the text in this bible pertains to "Clergy Abuse" and "Priest Fornication". Very little about Judas the good guy. Seems to me we all lost the message of Judas.
governormashoor--when He was put on trial, the head of the Sanhedrin asked if He was the Son of God. Jesus never said He was God but that He and the Father are one and the same. Jesus prayed to God because who are we to say He couldn't? You'd rather He didn't for a Holy man? As far as the Gospel of Judas, wasn't Judas a scribe and knew languages when he was asked to join the disciples? If so, wouldnt there have been Judas' records of his time with Jesus and the other disciples as they traveled
when I said "He was one and the same with the Father," don't take me literally. Jesus spoke in parables. Jesus Christ said He was the Son of God; the Son of Man. However one accepts/understands that is up to the individual. Jesus's mission was to save those who were sinners and bring in a new covenant to those who believe He is the Messiah. He came to this planet by humble means. And sacrificed Himself on the cross because again, who are we to say how God wanted His message to be delivered
when I saw the Gospel of Judas, it made me think, why would the church mark him as a bad guy? If Jesus knew Peter would deny Him 3 times during His trial, wouldn't Jesus also know what Judas was up to? If so, how would that be an act of betrayal? Jesus knew His time on earth would be over once they all went to Jerusalem during Passover. The Gospel of Judas now points out Judas didnt want to betray Jesus but that He wanted Judas to do what NEEDED to be done
Was Judas a tax collector? I think the other disciples saw what Judas had done and saw him as a traitor. I don't think Jesus would have told the others, or they would not have let Judas do such a thing. I under stand how Jesus Christ could say how he and his father where one, as now The Holy Trinity are One, but three separate beings.

The Gospel of Judas was written right up to the point of his be trail, Our Lord chose him to be one of his twelve disciples, not a willy nilly you will do, sort of choice.
Judas didnt write the gospel. It is called the Gospel of judas and was written around 200ad by priests the same time that the bible/ other gospels were being formed
I never understood why Judas was seen as the bad guy. In order to make the whole thing work, Jesus would have needed him, well, he could have turned himself over to the Jews/Romans, but I guess that would not be so dramatic.
In the end this is not bad fiction written there, since we do not really know whether the Jesus myth is true. He might have been a historic person, but most likely not more. All in the NT is a story being told since hundreds of years before it is claimed to have happened.

The gospel of Judas is not a gospel and it comes generations after the 4 gospels in the New Testament. The New Testament was wrote by the Apostles and their followers in the 1st century..50 to 90 AD...while eyewitnesses still even lived!

@col1n1234 honestly - I think we all play a path and Judas was part of the prophectic story - it was going to happen. think about when they came and got Jesus and one of the apostles took his sword and cut off the ear of one of the guards - instead of fighting - Jesus tells him to put his sword away - cures the ear - then goes about - cause what has been has to be done. We dont know what God has in for Judas - is he in hell or did he serve time there - we are not 100% sure

So do not take old scriptures too literal since religion has always been a tool for power/control. In your heart you know the difference between right and wrong,good and evil. Think of it this way who better to ask to end your life than your best friend if you knew you had to die? Just live good, treat people with respect and more importantly an open heart and mind. :)

When you think for example: Well Jesus died for us but I have to study the gospel of Judas, or pray 10 ave marias every days or give every month 100 $ to the poors or I wont get to heaven. Don't get me wrong I find it a good think to give money to the poors unless there only lazy to work. Somebody gets ONLY to heaven if he REPENTS and ACCEPTS Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

I beleive this to be true. This book actually makes sense of Judas! For years it has baffled historians as to why Judas would betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. There was no motive, 30 pieces was not a lot, and Judas knew he would be murdered once people found out. Which this explains his hanging.

People keep missing the reason for his coming into the world, and all the events that led up to his crucifixion. If the events did not unfold as God planed then there would be no lamb slain for the sins of people. All things happened, as they should have; and Gods plan was laid out perfectly. Judas is not in hell he had a task he had to carry out even though it was unbeknown to him.

I take my prayers directly to the God and Goddess, I value the teachings of Jesus and other spiritual masters, and I keep my mind open to always learn and grow spiritually. I couldn't do that if I am restricted by a religion that tells me how and what to believe. I have never needed to be 'saved' because there is nothing to be 'saved' from.

i would like to keep an open mind and heart bcoz i would like to know the truth about the gospel of Judas...but can anyone answer the question of Pastor Myron Vierra : If it was Jesus' plan for Judas to betray Him, why would Jesus label Judas the "son of perdition" (John 17:12), and state that it would have been better if Judas had never been born (Matthew 26:24)? If Judas were simply following Jesus' instructions, why would he commit suicide once he saw that Jesus was condemned (Matthew 27:5)?

Although this contradicts with the Islamic belief that Jesus was the Messiah promised for Jews, it does tell us about the coming of the prophet Muhammed. The Gospel of Barnabas is a depiction of the life of Jesus by his disciple Barnabas, one of the twelve apostles. That is the Gospel for the Unitarian Christians; Christians who believe that Jesus is great but not divine, that he is a prophet like many before him, but not the lord or his son. The Gospel of Barnabas denies the crucifixion of Jesus. Something a little similar to what you find in the Islamic belief. That is the gospel that tells the coming of the prophet Muhammed.

it is all planned by jesus to judas.. so when jesus gave that bread to judas, he was saying that the time has come to judas to 'do it'..
and the kiss of betrayal is actually a kiss of forgiveness and farewell imo..
anyway jesus himself has already appointed judas as their treasurer so why would judas betray jesus for just that 'thirty pieces of silver' when he already has lots of em?

well... gloomysunday87, thirty pieces of silver is very expensive during Jesus' time. I bet since Judas is the treasurer, they used the money for important stuff like food and clothes..etc. So, they didn't have the time to keep money for themselves.

What is little known is that Judas was a member of a 'sub-sect' of the Jewish people of those times. He was an assassin. A double agent. Judas's very name, Iscariot, reveals this to us, if we understand the ancient language at all. His original betrayal was one of selling information. Some of this information, un-beknownst to Judas at the time of the transaction involving 'thirty pieces of silver,' led to the crucifiction of "Jesus." Judas, himself, was thus betrayed by his employers.

My point being: Aside from doctrine and dogma, very few people, especially so-called "Christians," actually know what was really going on at the time. For example, if you think "Jesus" was a poor carpenter, or that any of his 'disciples' were men of no influence or power, mere fishermen, or 'reformed' tax collectors and 'prostitutes,' for example, you really don't know much at all.
Believe whatever you wish. Just allow others the same freedom of thought and belief that you allow yourselves.

The Assassin were not all just a group of killers as their name applies (although the term did come from these people who did this at one point; study a little classical hermeneutics please) they were actually one of the ethnic groups of the northern kingdom (messianic ancient Israel; where Jesus was from and vs. southern Judah with the temple in Jerusalem and the focus on the priest class.) It's likely that Jesus himself had assassin (actually hassassin) stock as well (not sure though.)

Written in 200 AD or transcribed in 200 AD. What is remarkable is that much of the text in this bible pertains to "Clergy Abuse" and "Priest Fornication". Very little about Judas the good guy. Seems to me we all lost the message of Judas.

governormashoor--when He was put on trial, the head of the Sanhedrin asked if He was the Son of God. Jesus never said He was God but that He and the Father are one and the same. Jesus prayed to God because who are we to say He couldn't? You'd rather He didn't for a Holy man? As far as the Gospel of Judas, wasn't Judas a scribe and knew languages when he was asked to join the disciples? If so, wouldnt there have been Judas' records of his time with Jesus and the other disciples as they traveled

when I said "He was one and the same with the Father," don't take me literally. Jesus spoke in parables. Jesus Christ said He was the Son of God; the Son of Man. However one accepts/understands that is up to the individual. Jesus's mission was to save those who were sinners and bring in a new covenant to those who believe He is the Messiah. He came to this planet by humble means. And sacrificed Himself on the cross because again, who are we to say how God wanted His message to be delivered

when I saw the Gospel of Judas, it made me think, why would the church mark him as a bad guy? If Jesus knew Peter would deny Him 3 times during His trial, wouldn't Jesus also know what Judas was up to? If so, how would that be an act of betrayal? Jesus knew His time on earth would be over once they all went to Jerusalem during Passover. The Gospel of Judas now points out Judas didnt want to betray Jesus but that He wanted Judas to do what NEEDED to be done

Was Judas a tax collector? I think the other disciples saw what Judas had done and saw him as a traitor. I don't think Jesus would have told the others, or they would not have let Judas do such a thing. I under stand how Jesus Christ could say how he and his father where one, as now The Holy Trinity are One, but three separate beings.

Judas didnt write the gospel. It is called the Gospel of judas and was written around 200ad by priests the same time that the bible/ other gospels were being formed

I never understood why Judas was seen as the bad guy. In order to make the whole thing work, Jesus would have needed him, well, he could have turned himself over to the Jews/Romans, but I guess that would not be so dramatic.
In the end this is not bad fiction written there, since we do not really know whether the Jesus myth is true. He might have been a historic person, but most likely not more. All in the NT is a story being told since hundreds of years before it is claimed to have happened.

Since marry Magdalene was not honored as she deserved, god had to grant Jesus his last prayer! Koran said 14 century before the archeologist could find the Gnostic or the sea scrolls that the book was chopped by people who took on themselves a responsibility of omitting some good book as though god made mistake and that the worst blasphemy! Silly to discard marry Magdalene the closest person to Jesus and eye witness as much as Judah, Philip, Thomas and base the bible new testament on mark, Luke and Paul, one just copy the previous! Worse, never seen walked with Jesus! Sad that Christianity was deformed by bishops! Thank god Jesus prayed for comforter ! Sure enough "Mohamed " comforter " came!

the Gnostic bibles were cut because they did not match the new concept of trinity that initially Paul implemented trying to preach to the pagan and roman so he had to borrow pagan principle! The churched just hammered out that principle in that damn council!

The gospel of Judas is not a gospel and it comes generations after the 4 gospels in the New Testament. The New Testament was wrote by the Apostles and their followers in the 1st century..50 to 90 AD...while eyewitnesses still even lived!
