  • I see that the tail blades touch the floor and the crash makes the boom hit the main blades, just my guess.

    Daniel B

  • seems the main blades are too close to the tail blades

  • She does fly! See video response. The crash was from the missing set screw that locks in through the boom. The heli was brought just to show that day,was still in a project state but got too excited and wanted to show a quick spoolup for my dad. Was only a $200 lesson at least.

  • I think the problem is the tail! Have a closer look at the long boom. If possible make it shorter and dont put the batteries on the book. Thats not the place, where they belong. Think about to place the camera underneath the landing gear. Thats better for stabilisation and gives better flight feeling.....

    Keep going

  • @knirschibus The boom is made for 800 class blades, which is what she is swinging. The battery boom mount is to balance the c.g. from having the gimbal and dslr up front.

  • @knirschibus cant make it shorter...its called a 800 for a reason...longer blades and longer tail. if you shorten the tail the main blades down draft will mess with the tails physics. problem i see is his tail is too low to the ground and looks like he tail striked the ground. the batteries are on the tail for a reason...to balance out the camera rig weight in the front. also for the type of photography thats setup to do it has to be up front. many use this type of rig.

  • mainly happend because of the shitty landingskids you made hahah has too much movement man its tilted you were just asking for a boomstrike there lol

  • The skids were bought but thanks for your smart ass comment!!

  • @saitoking ohh you gonna be like that? cant take a joke? pffff allright then, you have a good day man

  • It's not my heli I was recording it a sons friend of mine I was just saying he bought the skids he didn't make them.

  • Yikes!! Sorry buddy, hope you figure out the problem and get her airborne.

    Donnie D

  • Thanks Donnie, John is a beginner and has a lot to learn like most of us. He has way to much money to give up on it.

  • @D148521

I believe keeping tail blades from the tarmac is a good place to start.

  • Ouch, man that sucks , what happened there , looked like a boom strike, dam shame that!

  • I looked at the video it looks like it was light on the skids and the wind tipped it once the blades hit the ground the tail hit the ground and it was all down hill after that. Thanks for watching.
