Mariah would give Carson presents and call in to say hi and her mom had a crush on him lol and Mariah was just doing for the fans what she always doees. She gives out flowers at concerts and another time on TRL she gave the fans outside in the rain ponchos, donuts and pizza and brought a few up into the studio to get warm. She's always grateful and loving to her fans.

This day made me sooo mad. Yes she was stressed out but Carson and mtv later made up a bunch of lies about it. Carson admitted and so did Mariah that they knew she was coming. The fans were the only ones that were unaware. Later Carson lied and said he knew nothing and was worried about her behavior. Then Mtv showed footage of a girl crying and saying she was worried about MAriah. No, she was crying because its freakin Mariah Carey!!! The sad thing is Mariah was always so sweet to Carson

I still don't get this "breakdown" thing the media made this out to be. All i see is another edition of TRL with the daily routine of having a LIVE audience and counting down the top 10 videos. And also they have a musical guest and that musical guest is Mariah Carey. And i see her taking off a size 4X shirt that covers her regular outfit. And Carson and Mariah are promoting the upcoming festivities for MTV. Now what is so weird about that?

You don't have to be screaming running around with an axe to being having a meltdown. "You're my therapy session" is a huge red flag - she's basically looking for help so she's gone to the fans essentially, one place where she's literally surrounded by them. Pretty heartbreaking.
