Quick question - I know that enemies can only be designated per map, nor by land areas. So since this is all one map (divided up into sections of course), how do you vary your enemies? I would imagine that by the time you're done with all continents, you're sick of seeing the same enemy groups all the time, and not gaining much exp to boot. Do you actually have the same enemies all over your world map? I want to make one with varied enemy encounters, but don't know how.

@Croogix no, they certainly can have specific areas of which certain enemies only appear. If you would have taken even 1 second to right click the map's name in the list, you would have seen a New Area... option. Try again.

@ra2351 Its called paralaxing, basically you leave the tiles where you want the place underneath to show blank, and then put in a screenshot of the area in part of the program, search for a tutorial on paralax backgrounds or something like that

@theorangeshirts haha its becuase there was a short period of time about 2 years ago when any rpg maker video would get countless views, whether it was actually any good or not. You just had to get it in at the right time. On my old acount, nahor23, my world map vid had about 25k views and was shockingly bad, but i just released it at the right time. Come to think of it, it had more views than this vid before i closed my account. ARGHH WHY DID I FUCKEN CLOSE IT!

Ok, so... You're amazing, aaaand I wish I was that good, but I'm not artistic at all. You make a single room look better than my world maps :( And even my buildings and rooms are unexciting and bland. I really need a good mapping... spriting... battleing... Character/enemy/weapons/armor/­item makers... and animators. I'm really only good at writing descriptions on items and making the story. (and backstories). Even then, I don't know if I'm very good. I suck at what I've wanted to do for years :(

I think VX it's so much better than XP and one of many reasons is that it's so much easier to build good maps, and it take so much shorter time.

Another thing it's that scripting and database it's more expensive.
