@kingclassic66 The cylnders look the same.. we never rebiult the motor.. just the carbs all wires and hoses just everything that got fucked in the fire..
@Gocartnut96 does it have 96 cylinders on it?? i cant see a difference on the outside but i no the inside is a nikasil unlike the iron ore sleeve in a 94
@Gocartnut96 You just started the sled and within 30 seconds you are racing the engine like nobodies business. The pistons need time to expand. The belt needs to warm up, coolant needs to get moving, there are so many reasons why its not good for the motor. I see so many people do this all the time. And even if its not as bad as I think it is, it still cant do any good.
@Gocartnut96 Because the motor needs time to warm up. You have started it 30 seconds ago and it needs at least 3-5 minutes to warm up before you start racing the engine like that. The pistons, the belt all those parts need time to warm up. The coolant needs to get flowing. I see so many people who do this. And even if its not as bad as I think it it is, it still cant be good in anyway. Nice sled though. I just bought and Ultra to add to my collection.
@Polarisxcr700 Well trust me.. there was no way this thing was gonna idle... firts time its been ran after it cought fire and sat for 4 years... it runs amazing now though!
@Polarisxcr700 hey buddy its a two stroke, oil and gas go into the cylinder at the same time, so it is lubricating the first time you pull the rope. The wear and tear caused by gocartnut doing this is so minimal it wont make a difference at all. now if it was a four stroke there would be hell to pay.
@rinsetwice yes that is quite true. But the parts have not had time to expand to the operating temperature they need to be at. That is how cylinders gets scoured.
@Polarisxcr700 Yeah you know because my dads a fucking idiot... how about you relise that the beggining of the video its already running? it was running for atleast 20 min. hes been a mechanic for 35 years i think he knows what to do with his $4,000 motor in his sled. like how do you figure its been running for 30 seconds?
