The woman had taken out a restraining order against her former partner, who was abusive, and was going on w/ her life w/out him. She was in a new relationship.
The former partner found them, and shot both of them. Both were alive when we arrived and dead by the time we reached the hospital.
But the worst part of it was not just that he shot them.
He did it in front of his and the woman's 2-yr. old son.
