He's called the plate area, "home place" in several of these videos. That's all I need to know about this rodeo clown.

He's never done a game above LL, or he'd know he's a goof and wouldn't have made these videos, let alone posted them on YouTube for the world to see.

My job as umpire is to be invisible.The players make the game interesting. No matter what level, I want to be as serious as I wanted my players to be when I coached. #1 rule... Be professional.

I call from coach pitch to college and call them all the same. I never say "ball". The only time I say the strike number is on three. the rest is just "strike".

I mostly umpire little league, but apparently I've been umpiring at the high school level the whole time. You can keep things interesting without acting like a clown. In fact, calling it correctly makes it the most interesting of all...

Wow...This is really unbelievable. If you want to be an umpire please talk to someone, anyone, from a local association. I guarantee you will learn how to actually officiate a ball game. I really hope the guys that work with this "experienced" umpire are laughing at this because it's truly ridiculous. Too much is wrong with this video than can fit in this comment...Dirty hat/shoes/shirt, backwards hat (seriously?!), chest protector, shirt with a zipper. His whole appearance is just TIRED!

this guy hasn't done any age above 10 take these videos down your embarrassing umpires. Trust me not every umpire is this dumb some of us do go to classes and schools to learn the proper mechanics. We don't grow up sitting on our couches watching baseball then jump on a field and try to call a game like Mr. New York did here.

You're right, but the sad part is that somewhere there is a new umpire who thinks this assclown knows what he's talking about. Sadder still is that this guy believes the crap he's dishing out to viewers.

His chest protector and uniform don't fit that bad. It's acceptable for the level. Mine is sorta the same, only my shirt is a little more form fitting. I wear an XL shirt and an XXL is baggy on me. My CP is a West Vest so it kinda has a nice look to it, but definitely big.

It's NOT the umpires job to be the ENTERTAINMENT. Everyone is there to see the game, not the official. If you leave and no one even noticed you.....you did a good job. If, on the other hand you feel it's your duty to entertain, and bring focus to yourself, you'll will be perceived as a CLOWN.....Guaranteed. Just call the game as best you can, and FORGET about the other stuff.
