Kakai Kilonzo Juu. Wafanya nijivunie kuwa Mkenya. Maneno ya Mzalendo halisi.Hio nyimbo nzuri mno.Pole sana Kakai kutuaga ukiwa kijana mdogo sana.Mola akuweke kifuani mwake peponi.
This was a song sung with purpose, i wish todays my fellow kenyans can copy paste this kind of music behaviour when composing their music.Best wishes from kenyans in Japan(JICA), we really enjoy kenyan music here in Tokyo.
Nice song. However, at that time he was actually demonizing the patriotic Kenyans who stood up against Moi's totalitarian rule under such subterranean movements such as "Mwakenya." The "mama na baba" being praised here is essentially KANU. But, in today's context, let's interpret it to be in praise of our beloved Kenya.
That song is just plain NICE! This guy should be president instead of any of those other clowns, past or present. Rudi mashambani would have been such a reality if this was the national anthem.
now ths is kenyan culture, not all that nonsense of wa maria or osogo winyo or one man guitar singing now in their ethnic language increasing the divide

This song should be played to all politicians as they get into paliament everyday with their big stomachs. this is to remind them of when we have come from and not to joke with such a beautiful country
you have to be a kenyan to feel this song at the same time realize how complex we are.ours is a test itself of this life.kakai said it all the burden of being kenyan and the heart bursting joy of being one in this world......GOD BLESS OUR SMALL HOME,kenya

This is what i call a patriotic song. What happened currently ,it used to be played frequently during Kenyatta and Moi days all day. This is second to our National anthem. Please let i come back like before
The gerrymandering by the PNU brigade and especially the Karua-Mutula conspirancy to wait and see act is not only arrogant but in bad taste and derogatory to the good thinking of a majority of Kenyans.Museveni is the stupid neighbor without new ideas that wishes we burned for his own gain.Thank God there is hope again!
does anyone know where i can get the song''kenya nchi yetu,ni nzuri tusaidiane kwa mwito wa nyayo'' it also talks of ndege angani and something like ''kumbukeni elimu ni mali'' quite a sad song and yet a real patriotic song.where can i get it?

How easy it is to forget where we have come from and how easy it is to focus on the differences? Kenyans, we have let ourselves down and we have no one to blame. This song should be played for Kenyans now everyday in all radio stations, it touched my heart. Those polluting the air in Kenya we can see them, and we will never forgive them even if they take flight!
Oh our dear nation. a great country like ours shouldnt go down like so many others. we have come along way fighting hard and we cant just spoil our hard earned armed struggle to govern ourselves. kenyans let save country from the likes of martha karua who are power hungry.
it is shame people returned to there ancestoral homes.
let us be united, let politics not divided us.
kibaki and samuel kivutu are the real cause of this problems.
kibaki is killing the gains he made it is really bad to see him just staying at state while people are suffering.
thank you for the song.
we will revive ours gains and remove the crooks soon.

I could say the same thing for your guys Raila, Ruto and Balala.
Kibaki and Kivuitu did not tell people to go killing and looting and chasing guys away from their 'non ancestral' areas. That was ODM's doing!

This song gives us a chance to really examine what kenya is; a country, a nation or a state?
Guys judge Kenya.
.
Country: a self-governing political entity.
Nation: a group of people who feel bound into a single body by shared culture, values, folkways, religion and/or language.
State:a patch of land with a sovereign government.
