First off, there are no "pure bred" pit bulls people! Ask the AKC. They are all mixed from American Bulldogs, Statfordshire Terriers, and Bull Terriers. Second, almost all dogs being euthanized are pit bull breeds because of owners like the producer of this video. While I fight to save these breeds, by educating people about the positive qualities of these dogs, there are ignorant pit bull owners like this! Did you see all those puppies? For each one that finds a home, 599 others will die.

They are basically the same dog. The AmStaff and APBT came from the same dog. The only difference most breeders will give me when I ask the difference is that APBTs are bred for working and AmStaffs for show. They get confused a lot. Thats not always true. In 1910 Colby's Pinscer has a registered catch weight of 71 lbs. Cobly's dogs were some of the very first dogs to ever have registered pedigree's. And this was long before the " so called fad" Bully breeding started. Its genetics, if you breed the largest with the largest you will get larger.
Colby will be in every pit's pedigree way back then, but those dogs in your vid are staffys, you cant compete them in ADBA sanctioned shows because they are not APBT's anyone can tell by just looking at them
and yes you can breed large dogs, but the bloodlines change once you do that
I understand what you're saying but as far as my UKC papers are concerned my dogs are American Pit Bull Terrier. My females Sire was dual registered in the UKC as a APBT and in the AKC as a AmStaff, which is totally "legal" as far as the UKC is concerned. They allow Amstaffs to be registered as APBT but the AKC does not allow APBTs to be registered as Amstaffs. That is the other way that "Bully breeds" have been able to be registered as APBTs but still remain as large as they are.
That's why I stick to ADBA. Board member of Mid Florida APBT Association ADBA sanctioned club. We all have our own preferences I guess, I am more into the fit, 30-45lbs APBT.
Those are cool too! My female is a OFRN X with Amstaff, she is more of a game dog than a Bully. All of her features are game bred but she is 21 1/2" tall @ 65 lbs. I got my first true "Bully" 5 months ago when he was 8 months. I didnt like them prior to getting him but I discovered that their temperments are so good, I was shocked. Did you know that the ADBA used the name Staffordshire Terrier briefly within their registry? Check page 92 in Colby's Book of the APBT. not to bash-really, but you do realize pit type dogs aren't supposed to be that wide and stocky? it causes breathing problems (which most pit bulls seem prone to anyways). i mean being well muscled isn't so much of a problem, but when you get super-wide in the chest area, coupled with being extremely well-muscled, your dog's gonna die by ten. these seem to lean more towards american bullies, rather than pits.

not all pits do. some over-bred bully breeds have too much muscling which can constrict the windpipe. my pit mix has breathing problems. it's simply a genetic problem, just like long backed dogs like dachshunds and corgis can have back problems. it's not very common. and i don't care whose dogs these are, they're probably not any 'pit bull' breed. most likely american bullies. and, just to clarify, the amount of pit bull breeds you see with breathing problems aren't many. it's just genetic.

Also taking into consideration that Notorious Juan Gotty bit the hell out of somebody, and he's pictured several times in this video, I agree that this is not really a good image for the breed. Also all those Woods pits (or whatever the full kennel name is) that they breed to be short and squatty like English Bulldogs. The APBT is supposed to be an athlete, not a tree stump.

Colby will be in every pit's pedigree way back then, but those dogs in your vid are staffys, you cant compete them in ADBA sanctioned shows because they are not APBT's anyone can tell by just looking at them
and yes you can breed large dogs, but the bloodlines change once you do that

I understand what you're saying but as far as my UKC papers are concerned my dogs are American Pit Bull Terrier. My females Sire was dual registered in the UKC as a APBT and in the AKC as a AmStaff, which is totally "legal" as far as the UKC is concerned. They allow Amstaffs to be registered as APBT but the AKC does not allow APBTs to be registered as Amstaffs. That is the other way that "Bully breeds" have been able to be registered as APBTs but still remain as large as they are.

That's why I stick to ADBA. Board member of Mid Florida APBT Association ADBA sanctioned club. We all have our own preferences I guess, I am more into the fit, 30-45lbs APBT.

Those are cool too! My female is a OFRN X with Amstaff, she is more of a game dog than a Bully. All of her features are game bred but she is 21 1/2" tall @ 65 lbs. I got my first true "Bully" 5 months ago when he was 8 months. I didnt like them prior to getting him but I discovered that their temperments are so good, I was shocked. Both have very high prey drives and as you see in my vids, I exercise them hard everyday. I dont like a unfit dog either.

Actually, you can trace many AmStaffs back to Colby , Henry, and Feely game dogs. For instance, Tudor's Black Jack and Brown's Tacoma Jack. . Did you know that the ADBA used the name Staffordshire Terrier briefly within their registry? Check page 92 in Colby's Book of the APBT. Colby bred dogs through out history where registered AKC, UKC, and ADBA.

You are sending the wrong message with these pits. Maybe you love pits but looks more like you are exploiting them. Why are you breeding them? The thick chains in the photos are sickening. There are thousands of great pits in need of rescue and love. We have 2. You can believe they will never be in bondage with a heavy chain.

not to bash-really, but you do realize pit type dogs aren't supposed to be that wide and stocky? it causes breathing problems (which most pit bulls seem prone to anyways). i mean being well muscled isn't so much of a problem, but when you get super-wide in the chest area, coupled with being extremely well-muscled, your dog's gonna die by ten. these seem to lean more towards american bullies, rather than pits.

not all pits do. some over-bred bully breeds have too much muscling which can constrict the windpipe. my pit mix has breathing problems. it's simply a genetic problem, just like long backed dogs like dachshunds and corgis can have back problems. it's not very common. and i don't care whose dogs these are, they're probably not any 'pit bull' breed. most likely american bullies. and, just to clarify, the amount of pit bull breeds you see with breathing problems aren't many. it's just genetic.

pitbulls bite as much or less as other dogs, but unfortunately they have a lot more power. and if they are straightened, it's their owner's fault. then the dogs are killed, if they bite, and the owners are not killed. that's not fair. pitbulls can be sooo cute, if they are treated well.

Also taking into consideration that Notorious Juan Gotty bit the hell out of somebody, and he's pictured several times in this video, I agree that this is not really a good image for the breed. Also all those Woods pits (or whatever the full kennel name is) that they breed to be short and squatty like English Bulldogs. The APBT is supposed to be an athlete, not a tree stump.

someone needs to look at a lot of the breeders out there alot of them have short and wide pit's i have 3 one is short and wide then 1 is a tall pit with the wideness and then a normal sized pit pits come in diffrent shapes and sizes get over your self dillwithit
