Yes, this is the best! Thank you so much! Just one thing though. I noticed that your smock was sometimes hanging over the plastic catch basin. A word about that as an overly safety-freak art teacher. Warn students about getting loose clothing and long hair near the moving potter's wheel.
I can tell that you love what you do. Your students must love you and taking your classes. It was very clear and informative, can't wait to do my first bowl. Great tip with the newspaper too. Thanks for doing the video.
Thank you for the demonstration. I'm a mature student and have done mainly slabbing and coiling to date. My few efforts on the wheel have been timid through lack of knowledge and hands-on experience. I'm now confident I can make a simple cylinder and bowl following your advice. No doubt I will watch your video again in the future Thanks again
This is exactly what I've been looking for, your video was very insightful. I am taking ceramics in college. I love my teacher but he doesn't give a detailed instruction on the wheel! It drives me crazy. So, when I working on projects by myself, I don't know what the hell I am doing! Thanks to your video, I can now finish my projects.
Thank you Elaine on the day that I´m getting started on the wheel. Very useful and important advice. Hope I can get as good at it as you are.

Wedging is used to align the clay particles in the same direction and to even out the clay so it's consistent.. not just air bubbles.
