in a couple of years there a big memorial plaque and JUST the folks who was there this day who can remember what really happend there on this horrible day.

I think they should be rebuilt. It would show respect to the fallen as well as send a powerfull message that the terrorist didn't change the New York SkyLine. On top of that I think its hard to beat such an Iconic figure- and it would help people to heal, as well as help others remember what happened.

I am Lithuanian.I was just 9 years then...I always watched these towers with amazement, my dream was to fly to America and see them, walk into them.I think these towers were a symbol of America's strongness.They fell.The whole world knows now - terrorism can strike against anything...Terrorist did not just made the twin towers fell. They broke many people hearts. Rebuidling these towers would be....I don't know....Magical, but dangerous...

I loved the WTC, and I think Freedom Tower may not be as great an american icon as the Trade Towers, but, and argue this if you want, building a taller, more prominent and publicised tower could have the same outcome as 9/11...I so hope that don't happen though

Sorry, anybody who believes that the twin tower rebuilt must want another attack to devestate the lives of countless more people. Of course, most of you are teenagers, at most 20 or 21, so you always think you all are right, when you don't look at the big picture. I for one loved the twin towers and saw it everyday on my way to work. But, the freedom tower represents the future of freedom and democracy, while the twin towers represented pretty much two titan retangular boxed buildings.

not really, isn't innovation and uniqueness in design just another form of freedom? not being constrained by th conventions of standard architecture, it still stands tall and proud above the other buildings, just the different approach in design is something unique and odd when compared to other architecture in NY and other modern cities, it proves America's freedom to create whatever it pleases and to keep new fresh ideas alive

The freedom tower does not represent freedom and democracy at all. It was the result of corporate profiteering off of people's grief. If the freedom tower is built, its going to give inspiration to a new generation of terrorists. I say rebuild the towers as they were on 9/10. You sound like a Bush person.
