What has religion got to do with us being poor. We have a country ruled and exploited by foreigners for 500 years and then the ministers who ruled us are corrupt and care only about being in power. First of all , we shud have self respect about our culture and our religion. If we do not ahve that and consider our exploiters whites as our masters. Then nobody can save us.

You and the mullahs are two sides of the same coin. You say Sanathan Dharma/Islam is in danger. Stop sounding like a broken record stuck in the same groove and try to move forward. How much have you religious zealots tried to help your fellow Hindus/Muslims? If our religions were so great, how is it that we have the poorest of people, the most illiterate. Have they ever done anything positive? They have always sucked up to the rulers and helped oppress the poor. Don't sully this holy place!
This is one song I can easily go on a trance....I have taken part in carrying milk pot on Thaipusam day in Singapore. Even though I am now settled in Canada, I try to go back to Singapore and Malaysia during Thaipusam. May God Bless you and your family for posting this Gem of a song...its my all time favourite Kavadi song.
Beautiful song, for a beautiful Deity. It's nice to see Murugan devotional songs on here. It's hard to find devotees of Kartikeya. I guess even more rare is finding a westerner like me who is devoted to Lord Murugan, Son of Shiva and Parvati
Well when i was young i had a sick that was healed by his grace without any physician help since then i was devoted to him till today i am living with his guidance
I am from Andhra, never lived in TN. The village I grew up had a Muthhumariyamma temple and every evening they played devotional songs in Tamil. Great songs like these cross all the barriers, language, culture, religion nothing stands before such great stuff. Thanks a TON you made me relive those childhood feelings and memories.
