I usually do G major 1st finger second fret, second finger second fret on thick E, third finger third fret thin E

Does it matter or is your way the proper?

=WARNING= do the finger posistioning as she says on the G major, I had a accident so instead of learning the Gm chord the proper way I swithced my ring finger and middle finger. I was taught there are (4 fingers, so you pinky would actually be the 4 finger >.< thumb not a finger) regardless it is important to learn the basic root chords with the right finger position positioning..you will at some point have to learn them the right way. Watch one of my vids and you will see what in referring too.

for the G major, can i change the fingers a bit? instead using 2-A, 3-E, 4-E can i change to 1-A, 2-E, 3-E?

Just keep doing it, spend time with your guitar :)

Haha! Yeah, you can buy left handed guitars. Kurt Cobain was left handed, as is Justin Bieber! Some artists actually play left handed guitars even if they're right handed, like Kris Roe from The Ataris. Technically there's nothing stopping you from learning on a right handed guitar but it'll be much harder for you to stay coordinated. Hope this helps!
