  • Quite often as happened with us, we got Chris's auto on his way out after the matinee and he went to a local cafe to eat lunch, we did not see him till we sat down a couple of tables away and tried very hard not to stare or catch his eye as did not want to come across like stalkers.... bit embarrassing.

  • He was very quiet and serious when we met him at the Donmar, but he does sign Dr Who stuff which was a lot better than Tennant who only signs for his current production or charges £45 which is out of my pricerange. A lot of the guys you will see in this vid are probably dealers, I am usually with my daughter who is still quite young. We went to the Donmar to meet Karen Gillan last month and got autos and a video'ed interview for her school project.

  • Where are all the women? I would have been front and center fangirling all over him!

  • I saw this guy hanged???

Yet here he is signing autographs. How on earth did he survie?

  • mr eccleston doesnt look happy at all, i read the real reason he left doctor who in the papers yesterday and i was shocked about what goes on behind the scenes of doctor who i didnt know actors were being bullied by producers and production staff.

  • @doctorw2 AS an actor, I can say that happens a lot. The majority of directors are scumbags but if you want to get paid and be successful then at the end of the day, you have to work with them. Chris has a reputation for being very quiet and keeping himself to himself but also he can be a bit picky and choosy with what roles he plays.

  • I know he's not saying much but he is just darling....

  • He's not saying much to folk is he? Just busy with the pen

  • @Scottishgal78 Don't blame him. I can't write and talk at the same time, either. :)

  • I misread the description of this video as "Christopher Eccleston SINGING for fans" and was rather disappointed when he didn't burst into song. :) Ah well. Still awesome.

  • he was so brilliant in the play, sadly i didn't get a chance to get his autograph when i went, he went out another exit, which was a shame, but to see him act was just amazing

  • Haha, he's so obliging but also looks not so happy doing so, lol.

He looks awesome though. Super skinny!

  • Well considering he's just done a rather intense/emotional play, he would be tired :) I don't think he's objecting to signing, just that he is very tired.

He is a little on the thin side atm but I think maybe it's just the clothes.

  • Well I've been to maybe 101 stagedoors over the years and maybe only 5% of the actors come out of the stagedoors with that face Christopher has on. ie no eye contact, head down, no smiles. Intensity of play does't really have much to do with it. It's more the intensity of the person.

I'm not complaining, I'm just observing. I love the guy, I don't care how smiley or affable he is.

Oh, and his arms are sticks. Teeshirts usually make people look bigger not skinnier.

  • This is great :) I was lucky enough to meet Chris myself after seeing the play on 11th July. Had a little chat with him and I can say he's absolutely lovely.

What a star for signing all that stuff in the vid :) Love him.

  • Seems very genuine
