I love the story... I have the first two books, the Founding and the Saint. Its sad how these men cannot be given their justice, their right to a planet in which they can sit out the rest of the Crusade. Their contribution to the whole of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade have been monumental, especially at Herodor and Hagia. Chaos will learn that the Imperial Guards might is not something to trifle with, especially with the Sabbat now in Play.

I agree that the tanith are often given the short end of the stick but I believe that Abnett will probably give them a world by the end of the new arc "The victory" I mean, heck , the arc's name practically implies it.

@WARORK93 Does it? They deserve a world, but, the very essence of the Ghosts is that they are nomadic wanderers. Somehow, I feel that they'd be strangely discontented with remaining in one place for the rest of their lives.

If they were granted Holy Terra itself, they'd throw it away for the chance to return to Tanith (should that be possible)

id rather they not make Gaunt's Ghosts into a movie. these books are so damn good and we all know that nobody can do them justice. unless of course they get someone crazy like james cameron who is brilliant (altho i think avatar was HUGELY overrated.). still though, id rather they stay in the books.

This feels like the mournful pipes often alluded to that Brin plays in the earlier books. One that would wrap the Ghosts in the cloaks of those who have fallen andprotect them as they followed the crusade. Haunting and absolutely beautiful...

It's an Irish song called Skibereen. Sinead O'Connor did a really good version of it.

Luckily enough I can easily see this being applied to the Ghosts. Even started listing off the dead characters in my head.

The ghosts have been on the line for just over 12 years now . They range in age from late 20's to their 70's !

I love the book's and am realy hopeing to see them deactivated and given a new home . I just have this sick feeling that they will end up going down in a bad ass last stand though .

Fething Cuu.. Mentally i always split the timeline prior to Phantine. Everything before being gospel, everything thereafter is hypothetical, whenever we use the gosts in campaigns or fan fiction it's always pre Phantine... The Ghost's without Try Again, Kolea, Larisel... not the same.

There are more books out now and the quality is the same. Abnett never saw war but he lets you live it through his tales.
