Look, Obama is legally the commander-in-chief of the US military, so it is HIS responsibility to assure security at US military facilities---The base commanders can provide inputs, but the CINC has the final word. The Mideast is their turf--North America is ours.

Yes, it was a horrible tragedy. But it was also a terror attack inside a US military base in Zone of the Interior that raises a number of very serious & troubling questions:

1. Why are US Army personnel not able to defend themselves on army bases--of ALL places?

2. Who should be allowed to join (or to be enlisted) in the US military?
