Dang your parents are rich!!!! Wow I would have thought that was a California home. Only homes like that are located in Hollywood where the rich and famous live.
Nice house, however you don't seem to have a giant killer robot. That is a shame. I knew something was missing. Check my vids, I believe I can help you out.
Nice and well design architectural work..Plz let me know via email how I can reach the architect. I'm actually planning on working on a big project like this back home soon. Currently resides in NYC.
@ehistommy45 Thank you, it was actually done by our family as well as me. We had to hire a contractor of course. My dad isn't an architect though, but a physician. It was just a personal project, so sorry.
@taehoney Well thank you for watching my video, but I took these pics with my cell phone in early 2008, a 2007 T-Mobile MDA w/1.3 megapixels. Also Youtube's until sometime in 2009 made crappy conversions of my videos. I do have many more that are high-resolution from my old camera, but they are on a computer in that house. Been too busy to find them or take new ones as I live in NYC now. Anyway thanks again for watching.
@az11z9 Nope, visual purposes only. My best friend told me said I should upload a video of our new house on Youtube to show what the good and honest hard work of Nigerian immigrants creates. It was his silly and absolutely cheap attempt at "MTV Cribs". I reluctantly agreed and he helped me make the slide show. I originally privatized this video at the request of my parents, but put it back recently. I actually don't live there anymore though.
@tonyekweli Who the hell are you? My parents are DOCTORS, living in the Western part of the US. Unfortunately a number of wealthy Nigerians do steal money, but being a doctor for 25 years and waiting that long to achieve this dream isn't the same as the greedy corrupt fools in Nigeria stealing from the people. My parents have earned it, so even claiming it's from ill-gotten gains is insulting to hear from a fellow African/Nigerian. We are diasporans, not elected thieves.
@ton In addition to that I'm sure you know about the existence of a Nigerians upper-middle/upper class professionals(mainly Igbos & Yorubas). My parents are one of those people. My dad was even begged to come & handed visas to the US because of his vast medical skills as a specialist. I'm lucky enough to live in an Upper Manhattan apartment as a young black male. I even refuse to associate with the some children of African gov't officials, as they do not deserve those stolen luxuries they have.
@Carmaker1 what do u mean mainly igbos and yorubas... u are indeed my friend very ignorant because the hausas and people from the riverine areas are the affluent and rich ones. its just that we are not as obnoxious and extravagant like the yorubas. so fix up, and watch wat u say!
@ru21babi How stupid are you? There are certainly many rich Hausas in the world & definitely in Nigerian government. I'm referring to the greater majority of Nigerian Igbo & Yoruba ethnic groups in the southwestern US. I believe you are very ignorant & tribalistic. There are many examples of overly extravagant Hausas in Nigeria bleeding people in the southern part of Nigeria dry, so don't even come & mention that. BTW I'm Igbo. We all need to get along, so intently trying to pick fights is silly.
@ru21babie : Stop the hate we are one Nigeria and in every tribe there are rich and poor people. Not all the riches are illegal or dirty money. You are ignorant about the yorubas and better keep ur mouth shut instead of offending yorubas.
@omoibile I agree, we are ONE Nigeria. I grew up outside Nigeria, but I love and embrace my heritage. I have never understood this "separation" or assumptions that hausas are blah blah, igbos are blah blah, yorubas are blah blah, or that all rich Nigerian people are thieves. We Nigerians all together are one of the highest educated minorities in America and the UK, so understandably that equates to honest wealth like many other nationalities/ethnicities. By the way, I give you a thumbs up.
@jumpernvicky Correction: that's(stupid QWERTY setup). You described your property size to my cousin and I was only commenting on it's large size. Even though I question how anyone would possess 1884 acres if it's not in a cheap area for per acre. An acre is $32k in my area.
Hi. Happy New Year. It was New Year 24 hours ago here. I'm in England right now and spent X-mas in Nigeria. The house is going to have 8 bedrooms, 8 full bathrooms and 3 half bathrooms. The square footage/living space of the house 9,767 ft. The lot size is 58,229.
Carmaker, my bad - I thought from your comment on the video that this house was in California. Where in Texas is it? Just curious, since I'm a Texan :)
Wow! Congrats, Carmaker, on an absolutely beautiful Californian home! The staircase and great room are amazing. I hope we'll get a complete tour once it's completed in January!
Thank you! It's in your state though, I was saying in California prices are worse. Irritatingly the contractors messed up our basement and it collapsed, so it is being re-done and we might have to sue them for a refund.

Turned out to be much larger the lot size, my dad bought the 6-7k sq. ft. of land next door.
Carmaker1 2 years ago
The living space of the house is apparently an estimated 13,000 sq. ft including the basement.

Unfortunately, it is. It shouldn't even be that much, but the people handling it are swindling us a bit. We might sue.
