  • not speed up just hard work... but it's your opinion I can't do anything with that. greetings

  • Again, This is so totally sped up! lol but good try :)

  • high kicks should be traditional?

  • I've been practicing Leung Ting Wing Tsun for about a year and haven't ever heard that WT has high kicks as demonstrated on picture. I'm not familiar with every WT sect or however you call em, but afaik stuff like that should be avoided because it makes you way too vulnerable. So is this move really traditional or just for posing?

  • @MrTambet i'd say it's this guy's special talent. he just loves to kick high, atleast for posing. i believe u're correct that traditionally wing chun fighter is not expected to kick the head. most even cannot kick that high, and it's not necessary to develop the flexibility for it. but there is few masters who does this occasionally and it all comes to lineages and differences in them of course.even i like to kick little higher in chum kiu than i would like to risk in a fight, just for challenge

  • sport mi izgleda zanimljivo probao bih ga i muay thai ...nazalost blizu mog gradica ima samo boks/kik boks =/

  • WC is great one of my favorite styles

  • Wing chun's restrictions as a bouncer , no, not really .. As with any martial art I train, I cant use all of it ,unless , Im in real danger , and could prove it in court . I train MMA and will use some of its tactics in some situations . My top tactics I practice and use are sticky hands, palm strikes , simple arm bars to take downs. Ground fighting is a big no no in a bar fight . Im all Krav maga when it comes to ground fighting , 5 secs or less !!

  • Wing Chun has helped in all aspects of being a bouncer . working in close quarter's as I do ,wing chun is superior. I use WC in all aspects of martial arts as well . I've been training in various arts for years and been in some bad situations and WC has been a great friend to me .

  • My gym is full of MMA guys and I spar with them all the time .They hate ghost legs , lol.. Look MMA is for sport , not that it cant be used for self defense , but as a guy who has worked in some bad clubs as a bouncer for 15 years Wing Chun has served me well..

  • @ckmkaliguy While you were working as a bouncer and using WC did you ever feel restricted in applying it, I've worked a a bouncer too, and learned WC well before that and found it hard to use without causing injuries for which Id get charges laid. How did you find it? Or get around the potential problem?

  • "Dedicated to Traditional Wing Chun?"

What's with the high kicks at 1:08 and 1:13?

What kind of tradition is that?

  • Watch Ip man

  • mma sucks, i love doing wing chung.

  • Does anyone know what form is 0:40 - 0:51? this is the 1st 2nd and 3rd sets on the wooden dummy done without a dummy to demonstrate it on

  • ramstien : sonne

this means....SUN big hot burning ball uf atomic fusion in the heavens

  • Very impressive guys, would love to come over and train with you guys, Im a student of traditional WC in Australia. Keep up the great work, you guys are an inspiration.

  • I'm thinking about training myself in martial arts again but in more of a Bruce Lee style of fighting where i master useful bits of everything. I've done a little bit of thinking and planning and I really like how Wing Chun works with Tai Chi counters (:

  • 0:10 - 0:17:

"I went to a Chinese restaraunt to buy a loaf of BREAD BREAD BREAD"

  • malisimo

  • This might not be the most applicable place to ask, but I was wondering if there were any books or online resources you could recommend for learning Wing Chun? And if a wooden dummies are a vital tool for practice?

I really do not want to be approaching the martial art with false technique, because I'm sure that if poor boxing habits are hard to correct, then a martial art will be harder to make right. I appreciate any response

  • need to work on your stance you need to root better... you guys are standing straight sometimes... i like some of this GJ overall but form is important

  • Great thing about WC, if done correctly, nothing can touch you.

  • @DaRedJester

Um I would say that is any style of fighting done correctly... The great thing about WC is it's simplicity and efficiency. Effectiveness is always going to be different from person to person.

  • @pron1

    Wooden dummy 1-2 sections

  • il WC tradizionale non esiste per il semplicie motivo che è in continuo evoluzzione...quindi non può essere tradizionale..

  • yeah you guyas are fast but when u step your steo is wring and your kicks are open, it supossed to be wing Chun no just type of shaolin

  • this is sped up,lol

  • @sotahjarta

Hehehe coome to se it real!

  • @sotahjarta i that's speed up come to see me training i'll show you the real speed )))....

  • @sotahjarta if you watch the water in the background, you can tell it is NOT sped up. it IS quite possible to train at the speeds you saw in the video. it just takes years of practice.

  • @sotahjarta no its really not wing chun is really that fast once you understand its method of movement

  • @sotahjarta Not... sorry

  • Not... sorry

  • just fun not use in real fight

  • @TheLibertard

These are drills, but WC is very effective in real situations

  • @radoslavsm Own experiences? I mean, real fight?

  • @TheLibertard

why dont u come in greece and let me show u if wing chun can be used in real fights or not?

  • @TheLibertard

i would love to see you figth a good wing chun fighter

  • @TheLibertard So you're expert in what styles? )) "no real use" he sais. WC might seem like "superficial" punches... but one thing is for sure - you don't use it so you have no idea of how destructive it can be, and second... well.. why then Bruce Lee developed this style further and became at that time a great master in KF?

  • high kicks in wing chun?

  • wow, very cool

  • very good

  • man this is awesome... brings back memories... T_____T

  • What is traditional WC about kicking above your head? Traditionally speaking, that is a dangerous "power" move that is sacrificed so as to keep a tight guard. Did William Cheung teach you that? I would find it very hard to believe he did.

  • ridicule !

  • Some very nice moves. Only complaint from my perspective is the footwork. But great!

  • is there one near philadelphia?

  • Way better than me...

  • Im glad to know that at least some chinese martial arts aren't dying out. Wushu as a sport is an embarrasment to chinese martial arts, it should be called gymnastics with floppy weapons. By the way good job on the demo but wing chun doesn't do high kicks.

  • @TH3aznEmperor if you really were Chinese you'd respect the great time honoured traditions of Wushu, disgraceful....

  • @intirayami wushu is actually a fairly recent term, it is used to describe the modern sport. wushu is used for demonstration purposes. so you are the disgrace, i suggest you read a book about chinese martial arts before speaking to me

  • Very good, pure adrenaline!

  • this song is a very sucks!

  • @1masaniello - You very suck. Learn English.

  • @antikorper99 teachme u

  • people dont bitch.. wing chun is not about moves its about concepts.

  • can we have an asian show us instead. pl0x?

  • very nice form. ususally i dont see good wing chun from non-chinese but your style is good. is this croatia?

  • @bigkittysmile i think this is russia

  • @samxgamemaster

    Heheh Serbia )

  • @bigkittysmile This is Serbia

  • @marko97fkv alright! good work

  • Serbia man

  • Why is it that the video look so badass when combined with this music... Anyway, ignoring every kungfu-expert that has responded here, I am not a practitioner of kungfu only an admirer, and I admire the people in this video.

  • @ 0:26 looks like two girls slapping each other LOL. Don't get me wrong, i think Wing Chun is a beautiful martial ART. with the emphasis on ART, it's not to martial in it's essence.

  • @awhoergek no disrespect intended here, but I think you have it backwards. Wing Chun is less flashy, and very martial at its essence. Dont be fooled by how drills appear, in a real fight the techniques you learn from drills are very useful, not flashy at all, and besides, a fight looks nothing like two people drilling! If an effective martial art is what you want, try wing chun, and you will be pleasantly surprised!

  • @awhoergek You are quite incorrect. Wing Chun is known for it's reality and non-flashy movements. It is MARTIAL art, with emphasis on MARTIAL and is not that artistic in essence.

0:26 is not two girls slaping but one hitting with fists very fast and the other blocking with palms very fast. That is what this style is: Fast. It emphasises fast and accurate punches to the weaker points of the body. Meaning no-gloves sparring but sparring without protective gear and geting some pretty nifty bruises.

  • @awhoergek you can call it art when i make your face black and blue lol

  • @TheDiseaseDevil lol, so funny, you're a joke genius

  • @awhoergek thanks, but i was kidding, im not really eager to hit people

  • owo..tipe O negative?.cool sound, what is it?

  • @peterwing

    Rammstein

  • i hate it how every wing chun vid i see has some MMA asshole, who dosent have anything better to do but talk shit

  • @thejin666 I KNOW RIGHT THERE IS ALLWAYS SOME MMA PERSON WHO THINKS THIS METHOD OF FIGHTING IS INEFFECTIVE. KEEP IN MIND MMA IS A SPORT WITH RULES AND LIMITATIONS!

  • Wing chun is a very good martial art; it would cost me an arm and a leg to train it but we don't have a lot of schools in the UK. Loads of Karate schools but not many Wing chun schools. Sad really.

  • have you tried to find master samuel kwok i hear he lives in england..you might be able to find him...he teaches ip man's traditional wing chun..he is an amazing individual my sifu (master) knows him and has trained with him

  • Samuel Kwok trains in Blackpool. Liverpool is much closer to me than Blackpool is. It would still cost me loads of money even to get to liverpool to train.

  • He also has clubs in Manchester, Preston & Colne if that helps?

check out his website for more details.

  • Manchester is miles away from me. It would cost me an arm and leg to get there and back. Preston is even further than Manchester!

I'll have to stick with JKD or something.

  • @ Isamright33 -->

You are the worst dude I have ever seen as a commentor on Youtube MA vids. All you do is brag how awesome you are and how you can defeat anybody. Even those words already tell me you don't understand what Martial Arts are about. Please talk big somewhere else, like at a Kickboxing vid or something. There, they are used to foolish people like you.

  • Nice technique displayed in these demonstrations...not perfect, could be tightened up, but still some very nice practices.

  • What is this song called

  • Sonne by Rammestein

  • Comment removed

  • @kungfudragon99

For me, this is very propr :)

  • Please give us your definition of proper kung-fu.

  • oh sorry i didnt c the video properly the first time i just quickly scrolled thro it. NO this isnt proper kung fu their r a lot of flaws in their technique. thanks 4 pointing that out

  • Kung-Fu looks great in a demo and the movies. The reality is 99% of people practicing Wing Chun will resort to badly executed Muay-Thai striking. Don't believe me? Go to a Wing Chun club that does spar (ya right its rare) and you will see. They all start off in the right position then all of a sudden its just kick-boxing. LOL.. Whats even worse is head positioning, chin up, head back with neck exposed.

  • let me give you an example the man on the left, he is someone whose style makes him good at cutting in and fighting directly, but if this man were to be attacked from the outside, his offensive style renders him lost, already before even the first punch is thrown, because of his lack of stability a backfist or a pucnh directed at him at a n angle would send him flying back.

  • remember, feet flat, only lift yoru feet when you are not doing wing chung or fleeing, or switching to a non winch chung maneuver like tae kwon do or something, feet should always be flat, and somewhat close, but still far apart, the feet people, is where wing chun gis created.

  • If you have ever fought someone with decent skill, who may even have 15-20 pounds on you, staying flat footed is not a good idea in any art in my opinion. You need to stay light on your feet, keep moving, creating angles but yet be able to plant the feet quickly when you need to absorb a strike if required. If I notice someone who is mostly flat footed, not moving well, I'm taking out their legs quickly. But thats just me.

  • the point is to get good enough where it doesn't matter how agile you are, the only that matters is that you experience allows you to move not at all and know what your opponent is going to do by simply observing his posture, i have fought fast and skilled men, and i have fought athletes in highschool and college, teh athletes in college, no matter how much training they have, go out like retards swinging, good fighters don't fight. end of story. they don't want to kill.

  • By your comments it doesn't appear you have any fighter experience. Maybe you have fought newbies but that doesn't mean anything. I don't know of any experienced martial-art practitioner (of any art) that comes out swinging like a retard. Even people with 1 year of experience in just about any art will not be wild with their punches.

I doubt you have fought anyone with experience and maybe you haven't fought anyone at all. You just buried yourself.

  • and the reason you have to be flat and back, is because in order for you to learn how to hit on your toes, you must first learn to hit without moving your lower body, and then when you are a great fighters, you won't have to move at all, everfyone will come to you, and you will neutralize and destroy.

  • You just said "when you are a great fighters, you won't have to move at all" - Well Hmm.... How about Bruce Lee, Mike Tyson, Ramon Dekkers, Muhammad Ali, Anderson Silva, Mitsuyo Maeda, Gracies - I guess these are all terrible fighters by your standards. I think you should continue watching your Kung-Fu clips and playing video games. Leave martial-arts and fighting to others.

  • you can't take my legs out when i'm flat footed the wing chung stance allows me to put my weigh ton my bback leg to evade your sweeps to the front leg, you won't reach my back leg i'm 6'2" and naturally agile, I played d1 basketball, and I've been doing wing chun gfor seven years...I don't even have to move to kill you, you just walk into the choppers and see what happens to your neck fool.

  • Ok there Wing Chun Kid - Did I hit a chord? Do you want me to pass you a box of tissue to cry the blues? Your number of years, height doesn't mean anything. What I do know from your comments is that you're nothing more than an Internet warrior. You haven't fought anyone or at least anyone decent. But you're lucky so far that you haven't come across a decent MMA practitioner. You would be moving to the ground then to the hospital in a hurry.

Personally I don't wait to be hit - Don't need to.

  • Its really up to the practitioner as to how well they can actually manipulate the style for themselves but the difference about chinese martial arts and western is that western = agro hence your attitude and chinese is a more calm and relaxed way learning about the art itself and how to respect it. I respect the fact that you have pride in your MMA but as always respect other forms as well. =]

  • MMA as it is known in North America is built on BJJ and Muay-Thai as it has been the most effective. But in recent times competitors have used Karate, TKD, Sanda, etc...

Too many people think of MMA as a hybrid martial art. But if you take a look at how some clubs are structured they teach grappling/BJJ/wrestling, one day, the next day Muay-Thai, TKD, boxing, or some other art but sparring everyday. It is up to the practitioner to come everyday and spend the hours required to train.

  • In terms of attitude - We in the west are aggressive. Some more than others. But the west accepts all faiths, cultures, people and public opinion. We cannot say the same for the Chinese. That said it would be wrong for me to stereotype like this. My attitude does not represent MMA or Muay-Thai. Just like the people of China do not all represent the views of the Chinese government.

  • you baskey ball playing DDDDDICK HEAD.ALL TALK..hahahahahaha

  • i'm a wing chung master, I could blast back and break your ribs from 1 cm away with a backfist, my knuckles are the size of a man who is 6'8" but i'm 6"2' don't believe me i'll send youa picture.

  • You might be a master of the form but not the art. You are a disgrace. I would be embarrassed to to train with you. Height and power are not as important as technique. Your anger and rage makes it easy for you judgement to be clouded. Avoiding conflicting and remaining indifferent is what a true master exudes. You should less time practicing insults and more time practicing the art

  • not only am I a master of form, but neither am I angry, nor am I clouded. You see, I judge others forms with harshness, because I know that these are the ages when good is bad, and bad is good, to make a point, you must sting like a scorpion, so that one does not forget when he goes out to smoke a joint.

  • @jchetty shit talk! stop it!

  • slow down, keep the feet flat on the ground, when you're fighting someone like me, who could still fight with a broken jaw, or broken bones, you don't want to go too fast, cause I can take five or six of your hits, and you will not be able to even take one of mine, beause my faeet are alway sflat, and my leverage is always enough to kill a man.

  • hmmm you guys are learning the forms, thats good. however, id watch ur speed. for example, when ur doing the first pak sao. thats great that u can go fast, but are you really feeling the punch coming? i doubt it. If ur partner where to stop, youd reach for it. otherwise good job! =) im not trying to be a bitch or anything im just saying

  • Ime pesme?/Name of the song?

Klip je najbolji od svih kojih sam ja odgledao

  • @94Pele

"sonne" from Rammstein...one of the best german bands ever

  • Damn i wanna learn this but no damn skul's in Perth, aus..

  • Hey mate I sure sifu Peter guy has a school in Perth Check out the Tadional Wing Chun web-site under schools..

  • i can do this, however, such is my ferocious power that by celebrating my wing chun skills, i would in-fact, turn any observer into stone.

  • lep snimak =)

  • Im doing the Practical Wing Chun, but not that well yet xD

  • -.-' no comment

  • so different from my moy yat lineage!

  • Too much shoulder, their hips are out of alignment, and their backs are not positioned right.

At least this is completely different from the wing chun I was taught

  • Ok William Cheung is very satisfaed with our work . Your words does not have any sense. Greetings

  • @radoslavsm I see no sense in learning to strike in such a range from your opponent. I'm from WSL Lineage btw.

  • @YourmagotHAX i really like youtube teachers. cant you just watch the video and enjoy? ..........

  • @YourmagotHAX

agreed, my teacher used to tighten butt and abs, and not to stick chest out.

another thing is that i don't see many people attack or defend the central lines, wing chun is just a random style without that concept

  • @YourmagotHAX Ofc its different.... this is TRADITIONAL WING CHUN... and these guys are doing it great !!!... becouse im the practicioner of TWC.... and i know how it looks like ...

    Greetings from Sarajevo ;)

  • powerful

  • What song is this?

  • Rammstein: Sonne

  • Personally I think William Cheung is a fraud but thats just my opinion. To me the real lineages are being kept true by people like Samuel Kwok and Wong Kam Leung. Their Wing Chun is fantastic to behold.

But I have nothing but respect for anybody who train hard in any style so keep up the good work.

  • Much respect for having such an opinion but not being a dick about it lol not enough of that around, good on you :)

  • No problem mate. I hate it when people on youtube get in dick measuring contests about styles and other bullshit like that.

MMA guys and traditional martial artists are all guilty of it. What a lot of them don't understand is that competition is to find out more about ourselves and not the style they practice. Its is about discovering what is within ourselves and what we are made of. To see if we have the courage and the skill. ANY style can win a fight its about the fighter.

  • I do not think its simple as saying "its all about the fighter" - The style will help give the fighter a good base, develop the mind, body and soul.

I sparred a guy who was a serious boxer recently (I'm Thai/BJJ practitioner). He had much more experience in boxing than I did in Muay-Thai. He was fast, tagged me over and over again. He made one fatal mistake - Came in for a body hook then bobbed to my right and he ate a shin which ended the match. I had shin pads, but he decided to stop.

  • Further to my last comment. I didn't kick buddy hard, in fact nor did I really mean to. It just happened. Just like how if someone is coming in with a combo I could try to be evasive but then in some situations I automatically shell-up.

Some arts teach to block a kick with your forearm extended out. Against a Thai practitioner you would end-up with a broken arm.

So its not simple as "its the fighter and not the art" - Its a combination of skills, conditioning, exposure and the fighter.

  • you are funny. so it was box's mistake not your opponents that he he went for a body shot? you say its not all about the fighter.while you won a match because your opponent did a mistake.you won because its all on the fighter.

  • His years of boxing (style) instilled the action/reaction in his head. His movements (weaving/bobbing) were second nature to him.

Style helps in molding the body and mind. But for sure its up to the fighter to grasp the ideas and training to make use of them.

In any case I just don't think its entirely up to the fighter. But that just my opinion.

  • there is no such thing as style. Style is nothing. A man trains his forms, the forms are the same for everyone, style is only another word for decision making history, did you chose to open with a punch or elbow? That's not style persay, style is the character injected into the move as well, like leaning a little to the left when doing right kicks every time, then its a style, a signature, but also a weakness.

  • Do you mean Wan Kam Leung?

  • Looks great, beautifull training location, we train outside as well, really like that. I train in the Netherlands.

  • excellent job...

  • when u put ur soul into something.. it always turns out beautiful. Like this !.

  • There are many bloodlines of wing chun, but the most well known comes from Yip man, which William Cheung is a student of Yip, and from what I understand there are high kicks in more advanced levels of traditional Wing Chun.

  • Yes there are many kicks thet there are no in WT, Ting version of WC. We have roung middle, high, low kick, side kick(all levels)...

  • Very nice; however, from the still pics I would question whether the beautiful art you practice is TRADITIONAL. As demonstrated in the still, Wing Chun has no kicks to the head. A kick to the head makes as much sense as a punch to the foot. That is the only bad thing I could say. As far as everything else, its beautiful. I love the drills and I wish I could see what you are doing in slow motion as it would allow me to practice with my friend. Keep it up.

  • Hehehe that leg vas only for picturing :)

  • Hahahaha, I thought so, but I wasn't sure. It was a cool pic though. Do you have any vids that demonstrate these exercises slowly?

  • respect to our brothers to serbia

    excellant technique!!

may the force be with you

    greetings from greece

  • I don't know if anyone said this yet, but the key to Wing Chun as with most martial arts is the stances and footwork, and the stances and footwork are beautiful from these guys. I have never seen Butterfly Swords in action, so if you guys have one i'd love to see it.

  • Thanks man. Yeah we have many clips you want, but they are in processing for new video. It will be soon!

  • I suppose you guys are master. But Wing Chun as i know it. It's a bit different. Yea... I am gonna learn Wing Chun from a chinese master.

  • I also learn Wing Chun from chinese Grandmster William Cheung

  • pozdrav iz lok yiu wing chun kluba

  • Pozdrav i vama. Odakle ste?

  • whats the song?

  • Rammstein Sonne

  • ty great wing chun abilities by the way.and by the right linage!

  • How long you´ve been doing wing chun? I´m just about to start and im 22 years old. Am I not too old to learn? thanx:) BTW you are very impressive

  • About 12 years. It's never too late!!!

  • Same here ;) though im 23 hehe. Been practicing with my friend everyday allmost, great style.

  • I wish my school was still open, there is no place to continue my training here.

  • Where are you from?

  • Windsor Ontario, Canada

  • I started, when I was 21 and it was the best thing I could have ever done!

  • Nice move...

  • ooh and btw keep up the awsome work ^^

  • woah:D the speed is alien ^^ awsome!!!:D and the music is nice too :P

  • Thanks, but it was before 2 years. Now we are faster :)

  • what..? you mean you can be faster then that?? O.O =D woooah! :D i should start sticking to my WT trainings xP

lol.. i am sure then if u go eaven faster then that you'd have to brake some basic human biology stuff.. like.. the speed nerv impuleses travel at.. xD lol.. if you make a video of how fast you are now.. the camera probobly wont be able to make a clear picture of your hands haha xD

  • That kick near the end is awesome! Hope one day I can kick that high.

  • not traditional wing chun, there are few that really know the real wing chun( ip chun eldest son of ip man 84years old now and some others). but everyone does the moves that suits them, a clasic example is the stance, everyone does it the way that suits them, i personally dont point my toes in or bend my knees correctly. anyway good video dude keep posting 'em

  • Traditional Wing Chun is name of GM William Cheung lineague.

  • Nice dance :-)

  • Yes Wing Chun is very very good dance, if you know it...

  • It is nice to look at, that is what i mean :-)

  • Indeed - that is some awesome skill!

  • Geiles Video.

Ist 0.40 bis 0.51 die 3te Form des Wing Chuns?

    Oder was ist es sonst?

    Thx

  • It is Yong form. Wooden Dummy form

  • its a little diferent of th WC im used to but its very very good.
