When Amy Grant sings about loving God, the obvious question to ask is: Then, why don't you believe Him and keep His commandments? In view of God's statement that the sexually immoral have no inheritance in the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), how can Amy Grant's on-going state of adultery (Mark 10:12) give good witness to God's Kingdom?

@Sween9261 The answer is simple. Amy continues to be a great blessing for many people. Therefore, the Bible is wrong. Actually, it's very wrong in many places. Mark 10 reflects the culture of the day. Not reality for all time. John's words about Jesus are not true at all - they were written decades after Jesus lived. Thus, it's al speculation. Thinking people realize this. Not gullible sheep.

Regarding the affair Amy had with Vince---you know, in the 80's and 90's, I noticed that Amy's husband (Gary) would put her down and I wondered how in the world she could take that. It would be hard to be with someone hurting your feelings all the time. If I were her, I would of left him sooner.

I wanted to mention that Amy and Vince had an on-going affair in the 90s while they were both each still married to their first spouses, before they got divorced and remarried. The whole affair, divorce, remarriage was completely adulterous and it DESTROYED two families. I cannot imagine that Amy's first husband (Gary) or Vince's first wife (Janis) or their children, are very happy about this. It was a very sad, regretable thing that Amy & Vince did.

Shame on them both.

Amy Grant is still very much loved and "the it girl" she's my absolute favorite artist ever : )

I have seen her in concert so many times, I can' count. I met her and she was so so sweet. I like many have been unwavering fans.

You don't have to help yourself...God is always there for you...you just have to accept Him. You will never be able to save yourself...pick-up a Bible, turn to a verse, any verse and see what opens up and read and re-read what your message is. Then read the Bible and see how you feel about your own abilities then. God will be there for you and He will save you, just ask HIM!

The Bible says without God we can do nothing: our every heart beat is a gift of God, how can we say we don't need God?

No where in scripture does it say, "God helps those who helps himself"> SORRY! It sounds logical to help ourselves, but we are made by God and we need his guidance. BUT I do see your point. WE MUST PUT OUR FAITH INTO ACTION>

IMO, God has His angels doing His will. They are never asleep, and they are never unable to go somewhere. The question is, what is God's will? It is not always our "happiness" or lack of pain. If that were His will, he'd make us all healthy and wealthy. His will is bigger than our constant happiness. But He's always with us, and He loves us. But pains must come for the higher goals to be achieved. We need to remember His love demonstrated on the cross, and keep the faith, even in tough times.
