It's obvious that Nero inherited the human side of Vergil more than the demon side. Although they were enemies, they didn't really have a grudge against eachother; Vergil wanted more power, not necessarily to kill everyone, but his means of getting power was, yeah, killing everyone, and Dante wanted to stop everyone from dying. So, if they were to meet under different circumstances, they wouldn't be enemies.

But they would still fight; they're brothers, after all.

I think Nero did very well in the game, think about it, how long has Dante and Vergil been doing all this 'fighting demons and generally saving the world...stuff'...Nero has only just entered this and has no idea what is going on half the time and is just winging it and (by the sound of some of his taunts/cutscenes) having a good time...plz don't have a go at me if I'm wrong, I'm only using what I've picked up from the whole DMC4 story and snippets of the other games I've played

No, at the beginning of Devil May Cry 4, Nero put up an awesome fight against Dante, in which I think he OWNED Dante and just for the record... Vergil looks like Nero... and it's creepy, it would be awesome if Nero was Vergil.

Well, if you read the Devil May Cry 4 novel (yes, there is one) it makes sense because in the part at the end of mission 5, Nero was supposedly dying when Agnus stabbed him. Then that flashback of Nero calling out to Kyrie's name, it was actually a dream. He met a person (obviously Vergil, you'll know why soon) and he asked Nero Can you hear it, the cry of a soul? What is your soul saying? but Nero asked him the same thing and the person said PowerI want more power.

It's not official that he's his son it's just assumed, but he has Sparda's blood and he resurrected the Yamato and in the dream "DarkLumina17" is talking about Vergil has been the who always want more power so, yes u can say Nero is Vergil's son

it seems that way... but n-e-way virgil is awesome... his voice is a little weird... dante looks cool on the cover of DMC3 but doesn't look cool in-game... his sword could lose the skull and in dmc4 he could lose the leggings and get a clean shave... he would be way more awesome! at lease a clean shave but cool video!
