  • act 1 does end with a rousing concertato, Cabell's the perfect Imelda here. another great Opera Rara recording.

  • I love her distinctive young rich lyric-soprano voice, but she sounds very careful here in this Aria. We are not suppose to hear that she is being precocious in her singing.
