even though they may not get the exposure they deserve even after all this time, feeder have a really strong fan base. the two feeder gigs i have been to have been amazing because of the relationship between the band and the fans
they played this tune at my gym, and what a tuuuuuuuuune, fitness4less big up, 2nd underated feeder tune they played, they played save us first time round, well, i was the only person to mime the words, hehe!
wow, 5 people have never heard good music, apart from this, obviously... Great Song, Great Band, GO FEEDER!!!!. This was put on almost 3 yrs ago, and only has 52000 views, I would have expected about 520,000 or 5200000, or more....
I think that's actually okay, because i dislike mainstream music with a PASSION. So if they were to be like faggot bieber, it would actually be hard to avoid hearing their songs because they're being played anywhere, everywhere, all the time. So it gets annoying.
@connorjoe4 Definitely a lack of promotion. And rock isn't that popular anymore, more like Hip-Hop and new DnB like Chris Brown, most of them with dance parts in it, like Black Eyed Peas.
tracing lines is beautiful 'i had a dream, i had a vision i fell into water the water was deep! i made a decision promised myself she's my direction turn to the sound. all my life i can't believe it tracing lines but no one see's it i wish that i could take a rest. today's the day i still believe tracing lines until they leave, today's the day i found that you ain't out set my spirit free.' :)
i loved their soft rock stuff, and their aint nothing much wrong with silent cry, its a fucking underated album and i cant stop listening to it, the only thing it lacked was killer singles, that was it, but the label problems played heavily on its release and promotion, such a shame, personally my 1st choice of single shod've been whose the enemy, itsumo, they may have got the album off its ass, then-again, wasnt really too much wrong with miss you
what I don't like about Silent cry is just that it's a bit poppy, just a bit!
It kinda annoys me now when I listen to it, but that's probably because I have listened to it every day every second from its release day! Silent cry is a good album no doubt. But it kinda lacks of some distinctiveness from other indie records. The only songs I'd never stop to listen to are the more rocking ones: Who's the enemy, Sonorous, Miss you, Yeah yeah
you guys take up most of the comments with what you's are saying, and it is the best comments I have heard, they are all right, and then I just felt like saying that.
Feeder, they have made some crackers but they have went downhill recently....feeling the moment was a good song...probably one of my favourite ever.
it great in some depressed or sad mood, Pushing the senses and Comfort in sound are perfect albums in those kind of moods but when I want rock, then it's go o be real rock. Polythene, Echo Park...
anyway if you think about it Silent Cry has got 4 or 5 good guitar solos, we hadn't seen many over the past few years...! so let's hope for the future.
and agreed on Silent cry: too poppy for my liking, not bad but not so amazingly good
yet there are more solos, this is a fact I like. the only newer songs that are perfect in my opinion are Save us, Lost and found, Burn the bridges and Purify. Basically all their older tracks were perfect instead! When I heard the newer tracks on the singles I just though "Oh great, they're perfect again". But it was an illusion ;(
Silent Cry to me felt like Feeder were trying to please the fans of both their old and new stuff which resulted in the album being too soft for the older fans and too hard for the new fans.
Silent Cry just sounded like any other indie record around (although the fact that Grant can actually sing does give it some distinguishing features)
Grant's songwriting has changed completely from 12 years ago but I'll give a new album a chance even if I didn't like Silent Cry
more "banal", "gerenic" I'd say. Lyrically, Slent cry is their worst record along with PTS, which didn't have bad lyrics, but they were just bit too ripetitive. There are songs with good lyrics (Fires, Itsumo, Sonorous, Yeah yeah, Every minute) some average ones and others who've got frankly terrible lyrics (Miss you and We are the people)
by the way, did you hear Seven Sleepers and Snowblind? what do you think about them?
Well his influences have changed, he tries less to emulate Nirvana these days. Silent Cry was pretty generic though, each Feeder release beforehand had Feeder's unique flavour to it.
I have heard the Seven Sleepers EP and it infuriates me because once again Feeder have put the best songs of that period onto a B-sides compilation
not a bi fan of Seven sleepers, I don't like its chorus, a bit generic, but all the rest is just.,. wow! Snowblind is kick ass, nothing to complain about it, and the lyrics are awesome!
It really isn't, that title goes to either Comfort In Sound or Polythene.
Silent Cry feels like a half assed effort because they tried blending both of their styles together. Now the hard sections lack any real punch and the soft sections have no subtle beauty and all the tracks on Silent Cry blend into each other. I'm not even going to touch on the sub-par lyrics
very very overcritical, the album is brilliant, i honestly cant stop listening to it, and totally along with marcus, best record i recon, and they took their time with this one, so to say this is a half hearted effort is completely unproven have you actually heard sonorous, not hard punching?! yeah right
If you like it then good for you but to me Silent Cry sounds like any other indie release around at the time. I'm just praying this is a stepping stone for a new direction on Feeder's next album because if it sounds anything like Silent Cry then I'm giving up on Feeder.
SC is an awsome album, but by no meens there best, the songs do sound the same, but they are all so differnt!!!! and they all have a very very differnt feel, it is a very popy album though, soundourous is probbly the best on the album, but the title goes to eitehr CIS or Polthene
a great video to give mark a sendoff, its very sad about the circumstances, hes such a brilliant drummer, hes gone back to skunk with his head held high, a great guy
In wikipedia it says that Feeder's drummer Mark Richardson left the band! Is that true??? I hope not...
And about the record deal: without a doubt they'll find one but they have to make the right choice so the new album gets enough promotion. Not like "Silent Cry"!
If these guys can't get a new record deal there's something wrong with the world of music , these are one of the best bands out there and have been for decades now!!
I absolutley love this track, saw Feeder for the 1st time a few months ago in Wrexham and they completely blew me away!!! Gotta be the best live act around, and probably the tightest. Feeder f**kin rule!!!!!
We Are The People, Itsumo, Miss You, Tracing Lines, Who's The Enemy ,Come Back Around, Buck Rogers Shatter, Just A Day, Lost and Found High, Seven Days In The Sun, Just The Way I'm Feeling
I'm really agree with this list, but I think you forget few others : you are my evergreen, feel it again, pushing the senses, pilgrim soul, we can rewind......

lololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol listen to this btw i like feeder they're a reli gud band
I must say I don't always agree with feeders single choice. On comfort in sound love pollution or moonshine would have been brilleant singles and its the same with yesterday went to soon and polythene, songs like dry, evergreen, change, perfect day and descent would have done wounders for feeder
buck rogers was good but all there other stuff is better...... glad they are coping well with the death of there drummer its all about moving on but he will always be missed
caue all my life I can't beleive it tracing lines but no one see's it wish I could take a rest. alsome as usual cause its FEEDER!! their the best thing to happen since peanut butter and jelly!!.
i think feeder's greates problem is that they dont release their best songs as singles
on their album there are bonus tracks that should be singles like 'yeah yeah'
and on "the singles" burn the bridges was so much better than save us
every album has album tracks that are better than singles, they only released shatter cos their fans made them and it turned out as one of their greatest hits
I agree with you on Yeah Yeah. That's should have been the lead single. How it failed to make the cut on the album is beyond me. It's both catchy and distinctive.
no there greatest problem is that there not played on the radio! its there hcoice whether to relese a song or not, if they like it then then relese it if they dont then they make it a b-side. if they were played often on the radio or in other places then everyone wud be listening to them!
there older videos are so much more different, they bear no resemblence whatsoever to the more recent ones, that also goes for there music as well to an extent, it just mirrors the times and how things have changed
people always say Feeders music is cookie cutter and pedestrian. Feeder however do excell at writing athems. I know many better bands than Feeder but they've never wrote anything as awesome as Fires, Feeling a Moment or Turn.
They need to focus on that with their singles. This kind of song won't even get on the radio over playing Fluresent Adolesent (surely the most overplayed song in years) for the 5,000th time.
Oh and im not flaming, I love the Monkeys, I just want feeder to succeed. :)
The single is out now actually! I was able to download it today for some odd reason! I've listened to the instrumental tracks and The Crypt sessions. The Crypt sessions are acoustics of the songs 'Tracing Lines' and 'Silent Cry'! :) 'Tracing Lines' sounds slower, but it's really nice, whereas 'Silent Cry' is just something incredible! :)
nice video! Love Feeder. Shame there's nothing for fans to buy though - I don't feel a need to buy the digital download single as I have it on the album. No limited vinyl or cd to add to my collection though :( x
even though they may not get the exposure they deserve even after all this time, feeder have a really strong fan base. the two feeder gigs i have been to have been amazing because of the relationship between the band and the fans

Morning Life from Pushing The Senses had some nifty guitar work, all it needed was a killer guitar solo to be one of the best tracks I've ever heard.

good stuff, you guys were good at leeds fest

I must say I don't always agree with feeders single choice. On comfort in sound love pollution or moonshine would have been brilleant singles and its the same with yesterday went to soon and polythene, songs like dry, evergreen, change, perfect day and descent would have done wounders for feeder

buck rogers used to be my fav feeder song, but this is now it
deliciator855 3 years ago
i think feeder's greates problem is that they dont release their best songs as singles
on their album there are bonus tracks that should be singles like 'yeah yeah'
and on "the singles" burn the bridges was so much better than save us
every album has album tracks that are better than singles, they only released shatter cos their fans made them and it turned out as one of their greatest hits
big up feeder
bluemoon121 3 years ago
I agree with you on Yeah Yeah. That's should have been the lead single. How it failed to make the cut on the album is beyond me. It's both catchy and distinctive.
Raiko101 3 years ago
I'll agree as well :P
yeah yeahs my second favourite, Definately think they shud shoot a video for it.
Feeder <3
TracingLines 3 years ago
Yeah yeahs my favourite. As soon as i heard the first 5 seconds i was caught up in it :)
michaelkeenan1 3 years ago
Completely agree. 'Just a day' was a b-side on like CD2 of one of the singles. Then look what happened when they released that!
welshywelsh 3 years ago
no there greatest problem is that there not played on the radio! its there hcoice whether to relese a song or not, if they like it then then relese it if they dont then they make it a b-side. if they were played often on the radio or in other places then everyone wud be listening to them!

it is if you listen to kerrang radio it's on there

Great song,awesome drummer
bstrdmissed 3 years ago
there older videos are so much more different, they bear no resemblence whatsoever to the more recent ones, that also goes for there music as well to an extent, it just mirrors the times and how things have changed
boltontoughnut 3 years ago
people always say Feeders music is cookie cutter and pedestrian.
Killarapp 3 years ago
not the songs I would have chose for a single I must say.
Fires and Insumo need the single treatment, then people would care about Feeder.
Killarapp 3 years ago
i agree... but its a tough choice for which song to pick, i'd pick whos the enemy or into the blue
henryluvsplaystation 3 years ago
People do care, it's just that not many know there's a new album out due to the lack of radio 1 exposure.

Massively under rated band! amazing song cant wait to go and see them again in november

Why is there a girl playing the keyboard at 2.47 - 2.50? A bit confused

Love this, Feeder never disappoint! :)

I can't believe how little views this vid has had - it's fantastic as is the song. Have the record label given up on promoting Feeder or something?
welshywelsh 3 years ago
Yeah, very disappointing even though the song is awesome. Feeder isn't even known in Germany's charts here. This band deserves success! :(
mrdude1337 3 years ago
They do deserve much greater success.
Hardly anyone knows of them over here in Australia.
I do wish for them to get to #1 at some stage in their career.
That'd make me a happy chap.
Perhaps album #7 will deliver that alluding #1 chart position.
Nevertheless, I LOVE Feeder, my favourite band, and I love this song and video.
Like most, I was hoping Itsumo would be single #2 from Silent Cry.
2.41 in the video is amusing, Taka haha.
His hair has changed...

Let's make this single big! It's the only chance for the new album "Silent Cry" to get noticed
nickaudioslave77 3 years ago
All in all, get the downloads! They're worth it!
wickdaman 3 years ago
The single is out now actually! I was able to download it today for some odd reason! I've listened to the instrumental tracks and The Crypt sessions. The Crypt sessions are acoustics of the songs 'Tracing Lines' and 'Silent Cry'! :) 'Tracing Lines' sounds slower, but it's really nice, whereas 'Silent Cry' is just something incredible! :)
wickdaman 3 years ago
Nice video! This song isn't as bad as some people make out. FEEDER ROCK!
lewislite 3 years ago
nice video! Love Feeder. Shame there's nothing for fans to buy though - I don't feel a need to buy the digital download single as I have it on the album. No limited vinyl or cd to add to my collection though :( x
