snape isn't a hero, but he is immensely brave. rowling said so herself...he was never meant to be a hero.

@nikkisalright He was meant to be an anti hero. Harry Potter is meant to be typical hero archetype, Voldemort was to be the typical villain archetype, so Snape is that of the anti hero archetype.

@Rachulie I've loved him from the start! He was always a mistery man for me. And Alan Rickman, as a great actor he is, made the fans fall deeply in love with the character.

People don't always love the good guys. I love bellatrix and voldemort ( expecialy in the films)!

@RedTory59 Why is Snape a villain? Yes, he was on the dark side once upon a time, but when he knew that the Potters were targeted by Voldemort, he turned to the good side at great personal risk...and eventually sacrificed his life while fighting for the good side
