Many dojos in Japan have limited size. In the West, we are spoiled by having such spacious dojos. Understanding how to defend ones self in small spaces with low ceilings has influenced the development of Japanese martial arts.
The person in the "purple" belt is Terasowa Sensei. He is the person that Shodai Soke threw into the pond in the well know Hakkoryu video.
@BalanceNY Wow, that's got to be the smallest Dojo I've ever seen. It would be interesting to see the technical differences between a student attending that Dojo and another one attending a.. 'spacy' Dojo?
