This song is great, Mitch Ryder is great, the movie is kind of stupid, but funny in an immature way, and the rest of the music in the movie is some of the worst 80s garbage I have ever heard! The movie takes place in Squaw Valley, and it is a real place, and the most awesome place to ski or snowboard in the world as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for posting this video!!!

@robertxmagnum Yeah, i grew up skiing in the late 70's / 80's.......I remember the lift-tickets being $12.00 (Mt. Hood Meadows, Oregon). Now I bring a condom with me when I go up to the ticket window. They ask what I'm doing with the condom, and I simply tell them, "Well I'm about to get screwed, so I like to practice safe sex. Do you have any lube so it takes a little of the sting out of it?"

I just re-read the description above and it's basically correct except for the part about this movie being "hugely sucessful". I don't think this movie was hugely anything except for a late night view of Shannon Tweed's balloons and some awesome ski footage from Squaw.

My nephews always used to sleep over at my house when they were growing up. I always wanted to share the great skiing sequences with them, but the sex stuff was too graphic.

The ski ballet was especially great since I haven't seen anything like that anywhere else. The jumps and races, sure, but not the ballet. Being a woman and a fan of figure skating, I was happy to see a touch of artistry in the movie.

Either way this version is different and that is a GOOD THING in a cover song. Mr. Ryder put his stamp on it and it holds up well on its own. Prince's original is still a fine Prince song.
