But the fact that you're immediate response with the pictures is that you can do it on photoshop worries me. this is analog, it's lo-fi, it has soul. Digital photos altered on photoshop almost never have this gorgeous aesthetic quality to them. Learn to appreciate analog.
In my opinion the only difference is WHY you're capturing the image. If you're simply doing it for other people, or to make a buck... use digital and apply filters.

Slide film is normally processed in an E-6 process where it comes out positive, but you can run it through the regular wal-mart c-41 machine and it will turn out more contrasty, and with the colours shifted. This is what they usually mean by "cross processed". You can also run normal film through e-6 chemistry and you'll get lower contrast and a bit different shift in colour, but cross processing slide film is usually more attractive.
nice! i did the pinhole camera with the Quaker Oats oatmeal round box and the b/w film loaded on the backside, opposite of the "hole",
loaded the oatmeal box in the darkroom, then took pics by opening the "shutter" (which was a piece of black tape covering the pinhole). there was a specific time interval to use to open, then close the shutter, or tape on hole. i dont recall, but experiment if youd like....

since digital backs for them start at $100k atleast,
digital is only popular when its small format (135/35mm format)
