mp5man,well shooting sideways has its advanteges with some pitols like the "red 9" wich has a a recoil that wen shooting it sideways pointing at people from left to right will create a vertical sweap.shoting it sideways moving you from the left target to the right target.
Good Try And it does make sense if someone is shooting at me I am not standing still! Give the guy A break its not written in stone fellas'. And it does apply in many situations I am Trained and been shooting for 20 years. And I do practice this particular simulation.
I am so glad that you don't live in my neighbourhood where the thought of getting hit by a stray round when you forget to clear you weapon and make another pathetic Walter Mitty video would prevent me from leading a normal life
Oh and Clint Smith is a moron he advocates Revolvers. And also pistols for home defense. If it was 1892 I would go to Clint for tactics and firearms advice, but hes needs to at least jump into the 20th Century.
As a X Belize Defence Force soldier I trained with the US army, Marines and Royal Navy from UK. None taught any of this (TIPS). Get a bowlfex, its sad that the US Army has come to this level, if you did truly serve.
Ok I want to talk to you about something real quick here. Don't ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever take tactical advice from "mp5man" I know he won't agree with that but if you talk to people that know anything about Firearms they will tell you this stuff will get you killed.
Try Chuck Taylor, American Small Arms Academy chucktaylorasaa dot com or Don Busse martialarms dot com. These two are the authority on small arms. Espically with Pistol combat. Chuck Taylor revolutionized modern pistol combat. Try reading "THE COMPLETE BOOK OF COMBAT HANDGUNNING" Go check their sites.
i did get poor clinton era ammo shortage army training. electronics techs dont get to shoot much. if i plan to draw and shoot a guy 3 meters from me my first shot is from the hip and im hittin him in a 10in circle with all my shots. if im in a open area 15 meters away then maybe ill be moving hopefully for cover and shooting. if your army buddy cant hit his target from 3 yards maybe he needs a SBS with a 3.5in shell. its fast draw not fast reholstering. i still give you an A for effort.
I own a legitimate pistol too buddy. Get your sentence right, "if I have to be shot someday, it is you that do it... I actually could come unharmed from a firefight at 15m" how can you get shot if I missed you.
Sorry you have to be a immature faggot, because I wouldn't trust a imatture faggot with guns.
Suggestions: 1.)Learn to use the English language properly. The only sentence in your post that makes sense is the one I wrote. 2.)Be respectful towards those who actually have a clue about what's up. You can learn a lot from others. 3.)Sometimes a teacher, always a student - A good motto to go by. Think about it.
I'm not an firearms expert. However from an personal opinion, if the enemy shooter is an amature (like me), it seems reasonable to move while shooting even in a close range. It's hard for me to hit a moving target (I used to play around with bb guns among friends), even at close range if they are side stepping and moving back.
"insaneaki" you hit the nail on the head. You are a amateur. Its also more difficult for you too get a shot off thats accurate while you are moving around. CQB (Close quarters combat) with pistols should not involve any moving around. Present your firearm and put two rounds center mass slightly high into your target.
Look up Boyd's OODA loop, Gabe Suarez's DVD's, watch some of the video responses Yeager posted here. It's comical how sure you are about things, yet how little you understand.
LOL, you crack me up. I sincerely hope that you do get some further training before you take up the task of trying to teach others. I would also encourage you to adopt a different perspective on teaching and be selective in who you train; you just can't do that when you post it online. I would hate to see someone practice what you preach and then you have to live with the results.
I want to train with mp5man. Do you have an elite team? Me and my buddies once watched a movie at band camp called Napoleon Dynamite. We learned REX KWON DO. I can break your wrist and walk away.
Well, I'm a retired Navy armorer and small arms marksmanship instructor. That would include CQB incidentally. I was privileged to do a lot of work with various branches and their special forces. And yes, that includes the Army.
That bobbing and weaving around with that laser is pure airsoft crap.
I did learn a new move though. That Commando Catch Your Roll of Belly Fat in the holster move was a nice touch and one shooting tip I hadn't seen.
Pistol Combat within 15 feet or less you think you should be moving? WTF is wrong with you what Firearms school did you go too? While you are moving around I already have 2 Rounds of .45 ACP Center mass slightly high in your chest. Speed and accuracy should be practiced together. Man I want to take you to the range and beat your ass.
Actually Buzman sounds like a competent shooter. If you were taught by the U.S. Army to shoot, then I am writing my congressman a very long letter and I am going to ask them WTF, over.
I can appreciate your zeal for firearms, but I would suggest that you discard everything you think you know and seek proper training.
I will say this shooting while moving does apply in other situations, and only for an advanced shooter. If I had a target engage me from approximately five feet away, I would simply present and fire. Different situations call for different tactics.
This is pure and utter BS!! While I personally think that this video sucks; I do agree with the message that he is trying to convey in it.
Unless you have some circumstance that either prevents you from moving or, doing so would put you or someone else in greater danger; standing still in ANY kind of fight is dumb. This is especially true in the 5-foot scenario that was mentioned. I don't even need a gun to win that type of a encounter if my opponent is stupid enough to stand still.
ADDED: Anyone who has participated in any viable Force-on-Force training can tell you how important cover and movement are. FWIW, I was a Simunitions Instructor (until I let the certification lapse).
Folks, advice from the Internet is worth exactly what you pay for it. I recommend that you actually participate in some relevant training, to include Force-on-Force scenarios. Don't listen to any of these "Keyboard Commandos" whose knowledge is based on playing "Doom" or any such garbage.
I do agree, good point. But, not all advice on the internet is bad. I found some pritty good info. What I recamend is that people shouldint just see or read somthing and say "I know what do now when I'm in a sticky situation" What I do is when I see somthing I test it out befor I rely on it to save my life
That is okay if they are armed with a firearm. Are they are closer than 15 feet from you with a deadly weapon. (Bat, knife, ASP, etc.) If they have no weapon and you shoot them, that is murder.
1# i belive this should be taught in person and not on the internet, so its more interactive, 2# teaching random ppl how to shoot isnt a good idea, i think u should atleast know who ur teaching it too and see if there responsible
good point, but that Glock should have been cleared on camera. I almost jumped when the trigger was initially pulled.
