TheMexPrince...those of us who heard Stevie play will never stop listening for him. When I'm laying on my death bed, somebody better be playing Stevie. That sound is the only thing that will get me to quiet down and cross over gently.
saw him at Nautica in Cleveland Ohio, downtown on the river. Huge ore boat going by when this song was playing. guy on the boat spot lighting the crowd.....awesome.
Turned 43 today. Treated myself to this video. Picked up a guitar for the first time 31 years ago today. The callouses that thing has left on my fingers and heart have somehow improved my hearing. When I listen to Stevie play TPA, more than any other song or performer, I know I am hearing echos from the absolute depth of human emotion. Haunting. Almost frightening. There will never be another Stevie. We will never hear these sounds again.
@6StringsDownForever So true man. Your words sum up my feelings from that horrible experience. Can you imagine the sounds that we would be hearing from him today?
SRV,Clapton, B.B. King, Bo Didley, are the greatest. They all knew and know today how music was to be played from the heart and soul. Runs right through the veins. Very deep. They all have rhythym and deep souls. Gail
yes well his white guitar, called charley, it isn't actually a strat, it was custom made by a very good friend charley wirz, who died in 85. the song life without you is dedicated to him. this guitar was one of stevies favorites guitars. he played it at every show
Working on Lance Lopez atm and then will get some more Stevie stuff up. Can always check out my channel I try and post stuff that nobody else really has up.
find the studio version, play it at the same time as this one but about 2 seconds or so ahead.
