Im trying to train mine, I started today the tarheting with a clicker, but he gets distracted with hes toys on the playground so I bought a perch for training, but hes afraid of it yet...what shoul I do ???

  • such a big head XD!!!!!!!!

  • I dont know whos cuter. the bird or the owner. LOL

  • was this ur female parakeet or male

  • i want to get one now.....hey look soo cute!

  • hey what size cage would you need for a ringneck????? and also does it need to be around people alot or could you keep it in your bedroom where sometime knowone will be there???

  • @scholten180 ringnecks need to be around people every day or else they become untame

  • nice

  • So so so cute!!!

  • A q-tip as a treat? thats a new one

  • so cute

  • In Belgium an african grey costs about 600 euros and a rinkneck about 20 euros with 30-40 for a hand raised one

  • My ringneck loved q-tips and dental floss

  • the african greys in india cost RS 3500

  • how did u trained it ?

  • african greys in california go from 300-900 thats about it tho no 5000 WTF ?!?!?!

  • i got a baby ringneck yesterday its so cute but has hurt its leg =(

  • Im haveing a prolbem with my indian ring neck, he thinks it really fun to dive bomb my dog arial attack style. My dog didn't used to care but he is getting older and tired of my bird's games... how do i train my bird to leave my dog alone? even if the dog is across the house the bird will seek him out and attack. i've been told it would be easier to train the dog but i can understand why he is sick of it. im afraid that if i dont train them the dog will bite my bird.

  • I would recommend keeping your birds flight feathers trimmed so that he cannot dive bomb your dog.

  • dive bomb, lol

  • cant you make a video of that ??

  • Awesome video. I have a 4 month old Blue IRN who is adorable, but im starting to notice hes plucking his feathers out. He is never bored, outof his cage and interacting with us at least 4 hours a day, and i feed him fresh seed/pellet and fresh veges/fruits.

  • @ callumhurley13 : Are around 100 euro's :)... in my country ( Romania )

  • ROFL! I could probably BUY romania for the proper price of an African Grey.

  • are indian ringnecks quite expensive? because i want one and i cant afford a African grey .

    plz some tell me

  • African Greys are quite expensive, about $5000 - $6000 here in Australia. Ringnecks sell from $50 for un tame ones all the way upto $350 for fully hand tame, DNA sexed ones. I bought mine for $100 and hand tamed him myself. Its quite easy to do and theres lots of sites to help you on the internet.

  • $5000 for an african grey!? Are you serious? I'm from Ireland and we pay about £600 for one. Looks like you're getting ripped off down under lol.

  • They shouldn't be cheap, it encourages inexperienced people to just go ahead and buy one without knowing how to look after it.

  • They shouldn't be overly expensive though, and 5000 dollars just seems to me like total extortion.

  • wow greys in the us are 900 to 1000 dollars

  • The most we'd pay for a grey is about £800, for a hand raised one.

  • 5000 dollars?? wow just step outside and grab a cockatoo.....joke relax everybody ha

  • @Pioneer2006 hi,i hv the exact same bird and i luv him to pieces!but he wont let me go near him,i want to stroke him and make him step up but he hates me...help....

  • @Pioneer2006 5000-6000$ for an african grey?

  • @Pioneer2006 hmmmm... are you sure AG's are that expensive? in america, they are only $1000-1500, seems a liyyle fishy...

  • @Pioneer2006 I got an African Grey and they are expensive!!! But I have a lot of fun with mine!

  • @Pioneer2006 in my country theyre like 20 american dollars.........

  • @Pioneer2006 wow in aus a full tamed green is $100. We have one who's 8 called Ollie. He'll literally kiss a burgler he's that tame

  • @fancyblood1 indian ringnecks cost $50 to about $1000 because there are different colours

  • @fancyblood1 they are expensive in europe but cheap enough in pakistan or india!!

  • @fancyblood1

i gto one for £350 he was well trained and in good condition

  • Thats amazing. I hope on getting a bird soon. Maybe a cockatiel how long did it take to train him/her?

  • sorry for the delay in replying. It only took about a month or so to train him to kiss. Even less for the shake thing =) Good luck with your cockatiel.

  • what a sweetie!!

  • sweet bird!

  • Wow. His reward is a Q-Tip? Birds are so easily amused, it's adorable.
