  • Hi Scott, you're a guy of many talents and visions, think you have a damn good opinion on politics and economics as well. Did you really have 70 compositions, many symphonic, what was your goal with that Scott,to be a modern Classic composer? Don't you get depressive about losing all that stuff or do you have a total ZEN attitude :all that's created can turn to dust, only the process is important,I can find myself in that, because in the end........Vic.

  • That was 70 more recent pieces you're referring to. I was on a roll and did something stupid with my computer at 4AM when I was falling asleep. I had no backup and the files were ruined and unsalvageable. I have a dream of composing Symphonic instrument music. I've been taking a break from that dream and YouTube videomaking has taken up my time since then, but I need to get back to it. I lost some Jazz pieces as well that I had arranged.

  • the Bodine symphony orchestra has much talent! me like! keep up with the good--70 compositions lost!? noooo! well, i'm sure they all sounded good. I like your orchestrated music. its very different from most I hear.

  • More are on the way, tubes! I'm having a ball working up this junk! 8-)

  • You look like you just got out of bed, DB. Did you wake up with that bone? You bang out a pretty mean tune on it, tho !

  • I can't respond to your comment... I'm still sleeping. 8-)

  • You know Scott, you have a real talent here, and I think you should let everyone hear and see it. Make a real serious symphonic piece. Show it off!

  • Thanks, Dave. I have some, but they'd be too long for YouTube. I'll get more of this stuff up ASAP.

  • Scott, what about a piece like "The Damnation of Faust:Minuet of the Will o' Wisps?" By Hector Berlioz.

Stuff like that, less than 10 minutes.

  • I had 70 compositions, many of which were my symphonic pieces, that I unfortunately lost. When I tried to retrieve them, after accidently trashing them, the files were corrupted. Half a years worth of work... I haven't tried to redo them yet. The loss was devastating... but I will in time redo some of them and make new ones.

  • Looking forward to it Scott!!

  • Is one of your pics the Hungarian State Opera House? I think I may recognize it. Very nice combination of music and pictures. I watched it twice.

  • It is! I found it on Wikipedia. I've been there for a performance several years ago. I think it's the oldest in Europe, and very beautiful.

  • I have the Opera House in Budapest as one of the photos. Thanks, mwest!

  • All hail the contrabassoon :)

    Awsome

  • Thanks Sonata Al, Alex, Alexander... glad you liked it. I want to do more orchestral things! This was sort of a "hybrid" since it has Vibes, Synth & Bass Guitar. 8-)

  • Ahhh.... I forgot how wonderful brahms is :) [violin concerto]

alex or alexander...which ever's convenient for the moment

    Awsome. I loved it :)

  • awesome composition DB, and nice touch with syncing the pics. :)

  • Thanks, Jesse! I appreciate you stopping by for a dose of my noise!

  • Diesel bro I keep saying it but it aint about to change, it's just a law of the universe, YOU'REAFUCKINGGENIUSMAN!!!!

    Peace bro! Another favourite!

  • Thanks Brother Darn! It was time for another excursion into the Symphonic World! Albeit, a little warped by synthesizer! 8-)

  • You're really good at it!

  • This new composition was based on an old Scottisch melody! Only kidding, ha-ha! Thanks again!

  • LOL!! No probs Diesel, "Scottish Melody" is in fact an oxymoron".

  • LOL Nice! Remember to always keep it lubed! (That means the tuning slide to) Great job!

  • Thanks Dragon! Something kind of weird happened to the sound of the synth on upload... got more tremolo sounding, but what can I do? Glad you liked it... 8-)

  • YT does screw quality of vids up, could that have happened here?

  • Maybe it's the frame rate conversion? It's kind of cool choppy, but the synth's a pinch different sounding than the original. Oddly the other instruments don't sound effected. Go figure! I know! I'm being punished by the Symphony Gods for adding non-orchestral instrumentation! LOL

  • LOL! Those Symphony Gods again! Curses! (Really, I have no idea why it would do that)
