I was so happy to find a turtle in the wild digging her nesting hole and so I wanted to mark where it was to be able to remember where it was, I am so unhappy that I did not know she would feel threatened by a simple marker placed near by. SO, kids be careful if you find something as rare as this to some how use a land mark not an object to mark the area. I am so unhappy with myself. Thank you for your videos.
I've hatched both snake and turtle eggs and I have had excellent success with regular play sand or vermiculite. They do sell matching medium called "hatch rite" or something but I dont see the need for it.
I place the eggs, half buried in damp play sand or vermiculite. I also make sure they are kept at around 78-80 degrees. I check them every couple of days to make sure they aren't drying out or developing any mold. Other than that they are OK.
Any info on breeding please? what would encourage them to mate? do they lay eggs of dry land or water? any info be helpfull.. thanks

What do you need to keep the eggs alive
do you spray water do u give it a heat lamp
does it just hatch naturally without doing much to it?
