  • SLOW SONGS WERE MEANT TO SOUND LIKE THIS!!!

  • Crazy good. Insanely good. Ridiculously good. Did I mention this is pretty good

  • great sad song one of the bes ever made

  • this is and will always be the saddest song i heard it is my favorite one!!!

  • You are right. They DO NOT make songs that sound like this these days. Thank you for the great memories.

  • One of the Best song around brings back so many Memory's just cant help listening to it at work and on my i phone....

  • wow not heard this song for ages.what a voice so cool.

  • what did you do to your husband lorideulen? Surely these things just don't "happen"...

  • Absolutely awesome!

  • I miss the 1970's!

  • this song is da shit

  • no, its not the beegees

  • This is the beegees version of the song???????/

  • The Bee Gees had nothing to do with this tune .

  • Well, they did write hits for other artists before and after Saturday Night Fever. The studios were probably just looking for acts that had the Bee Gees' "sound."

  • No. There is only one version of this song. The Bee Gees never recorded it.

  • Actually it's Robert John singing it. It's one of his biggest hits way back when. The Beegees redid it. But that's his voice, and his song, for real.

  • Oh I get it being the ultimate break up song. I was visiting home in New York at age 14 and my boyfriend broke up with me when I came back and the postcard had just gotten to him that I sent. Yeah this song was out than. No worries, Randy probably wanted a girlfriend who was not afraid to touch.......I have autism. But still I didn't understand than what it was all about.

  • I wasn't even born yet, But I love this song.

  • i love this song. how ironic, after 5 years of marriage my husband tells me it's all over.i can't stop crying.

  • lorideulen: He's a little prick. There's lots of guys out there who'd kill to be with a good woman. Keep the faith.

  • yeah, tell me about it.i will be better off without him anyway.god bless.love-lori

  • omg i feel so bad hope u find someone that loves u the same

  • Sorry to hear about your breakup. Wishing you the best.

  • You hang in there lorideulen, one day you'll quit crying and it wont hurt anymore.

  • @lorideulen bless you my love!! keep the faith, not ALL men are twats

  • @lorideulen I hope your life is ok now, better off without the guy? I hope so. A concerned youtuber...

  • @lorideulen thats sad why did he leave u for another woman if so hes an asshole

  • life is an enjoyable, on going joke between friends when you sit back and think about it. So unique and fleeting..

  • this song is crazy!

  • oops i met to say cry your self to sleep.

  • One of my all time favorites. Such a breakup song, when your left broken hearted to sleep your night away.

  • You listen to the lyrics and realize,,, this song is CRUEL! :D

  • Was 15 when this song came out, always felt like an outsider and hearing this never helped. (Wipes tears from eyes)

  • this song is awesome!

  • i love this fuccn song =]]

  • beautifull melody

  • Very memorable song.

  • i heard this song in my calculus class

ill always remember Mrs. Thomas' sixth period class

  • i heard this song in my calculus class

I'll always remember Mrs. Thomas' class in sixth period

  • Skating - yes! LOL

  • I've always loved this song. Thanks for posting.

  • Crucial

  • Guys never think about consequences when they're using a gal. Geez. This song could have been written by my ex-boyfriend back in 1979.

  • Me and my wife danced to this on our first date we have been together twenty-eight years now and still so much in love

  • I agree, the 1970s was just the most amazing era for music in human history. Such a wide range of incredible music. Top 40 back then was nearly impossible to crack unless you wrote a suberb song. Sure wish music was this alive today, the music industry and corporations have destroyed the state of music

  • age 16 the summer this was out. the theme song for my summer vacation romance that had to end...ah memories.

  • I miss the old 45's to ... I have my Mom's and Dads 45's we used to listen to when I was young....ya know the old case with the handle on top full of your favorite 45's?... we have about 8 or so of those lol ..all full!! bought a diamond tip needle so I could play them again and the record player wont work!!! ... ah well.. I will keep the 45's anyway ... memories!! lol might find a record player that works at a yard sale or something. .. ya never know!! :)

    感動・・・

  • Love this song, I was just a baby when it came out, but i remember my mom singing it to me when i would pout

  • How come they don't or can't write songs like this one anymore ...

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • For 100 bonus points, can anyone tell me who Robert John is? You know big time 80's metal producer and Shania Twain's husband Mutt Lange? His full name is Robert John Lange. That's right, AC/DC and Def Leppard producer, Mutt Lange sang this song. No bullshit!

  • Thanks for posting this song,I had forgot about it. We need more like it.

  • 1:50 sad!??!?! more like smoked!! loL!

  • 1979 what a great year-graduated from Jeffersonville High School in Jeffersonville Indiana and played this song over and over again with my girlfriend in my 1966 ford mustang convertablewhat a great car--I married my girlfriend in 1981 and belive it or not were still together now in 2008 i love her so very much she still is as sexy.

  • what memories? brings back so many emotions!

  • This is so weird, this song. It was playing on a radio the night my mother died back in 1979. I was twelve. I think I was taking a shower at 3:00 a.m. when my sisters came in and told me the news. I just remember having that song in my head for about three days afterwards. I have always associated this song with my mom dying.

  • DrummerGrrl: Sorry about your bad memory. England Dan and John Ford Coley gives me car sickness, because of taking long road trips as a kid with their songs on the radio. My parents didn't like to stop and go to the bathroom. Same with the song "I wanna hold you til I die, til we both break down and cry" and anything by Babs Streisand. I start involuntarily getting ill. I'm sure the artists intended a different reaction from us both.

  • I remember LOVING the song on the "B" side but, for the life of me can't remember what it was. Do you by any chance remember? Do you maybe have it? Could you maybe post it? I don't ask for much do I?

  • @DrummerGrrrl I can only be empathetic with you. I also lost my POW grandad...only it was when I was asleep. That is why I listen constantly to sad songs.

  • thanks thanks, oh boy all the hearts i broke in the 70s oh my oh my, now i am a daddy of 4 girls and wondering what i will do when theirs hearts get broken, oh life, great song

  • thanks thanks, all the hearts i broke in the 70s oh my oh my, now i am a daddy of 4 girls and wondering what i will do when theirs hearts get broken................

  • Don't ask me why, but from 3:21 thru to 3:26 on the time has always been my favorite. How does a male hit such a high note as that?It has always been the defining moment of this song for me.

  • It is a very impressive vocal accomplishment! Robert John had a superb falsetto voice. I can get pretty high myself (vocally, I mean! Ha!), but I don't sound anywhere near as "soulful" as he can. I wonder what note it is?

  • Yeah, he sounded great on that extremely high note! Great falsetto voice!

  • He sounds like a cock sucking faggot when he does that shit.

  • WHY??? Its a woman!!!!

  • I may be wrong(dear knows, I have been many times before, and shall be many more times) but in this instance have you considered the possibility of a female backing singer? Just a thought.

  • I think some one sqeezes his nut's!

  • The 70's was the BEST music EVER !!!!!!!

  • uhh no

  • 70s & 80s where just like..."WOW"...hehe (^__^)!

  • Oh you are SO right. I miss those days!

  • oh my god..I was bearly 17 when this song came out, skating at the rink..thanks for the memories..of slow dancing swaying to the music! xoxo

  • That's what I think of...skating!!! lol

  • Hard to say which is worse. Being the dumper or the dumpee.

    They're both sad.
