Too bad Carter was already playing on and off with Bela Flek and Victor Wooten. I don't agree with how you define being a successful musician ("wouldn't have amounted to anything." Yeah, they individually probably wouldn't have made as much money but that doesn't mean jack shit in terms of musical talent. But I don't need to defend this statement because even Dave has stated that Carter is the driving force behind the band. He's also said their band name is bad.
