  • cat was like: "Dude open this window"

  • haha!

  • I love the way the vulture lifts his/her wing just enough to use as a shield. :)

    Turkey vultures rock.

  • Good vid. Lots of beautiful animals, including the kitty inside.

  • LOL!

  • Last week I saw one eating on a dead deer on the side of the road on my way home.

  • red winged black bird doesn't stand a chance :D (bird attacking)

  • i wanted to see the cat attack it

  • This is great footage xD

  • i see red winged black birds alllllllllllll the time i mean all the time not rare where i live actually prob one of most common birds

  • Vultures are misunderstood. They have an enzyme in their bodies to digest certain diseases. They are actually very clean.

  • Like pigs! (I'm serious)

  • go redwinged black bird

  • im not being contradictory its just something funny i thought.... you could consider most scavangers lazy lol

  • That red-winged blackbird must have a nest over there--they don't like anyone near it. I don't think the swallows are attacking the vulture, they are more likely swooping in to eat the insects that are flying around the carcass the vulture is feeding on.

Many species of birds recognize the difference between a predatory bird like a hawk or an eagle from a scavenger like a vulture.

  • Tall, what a moron... nasty scavenger? They're the world's garbage disposal.. with out them the world would have a bit more disease and what-not

  • I'm glad they attacked her. Vultures are nasty scavenger birds that aren't much above seagulls, in my opinion. LOL

  • Yes, but without these "nasty scavengers", (And not to mention the oher scavengers and fungi) you'd probaly be living in a gross, disease infested world. Thank the vultures for cleaning up the earth for you. Because, they sure as hell have contributed alot more to the earth than you ever will.

  • Amen... XD

  • In agreeing with chickenspirit, vultures are important because they are the only birds that have the ability to smell, and thus, can find rotting animals easier. Without this ability, there would be a lot more roadkill that is not dealt with quickly, and thus disease would be a lot more rampant. As well, have a look at crows. They are scavengers too. They may be pesky, true, but they are important because of their intelligence, and their willingness to eat garbage and rotting waste.

  • yeah but crows spread disease. vultures rarely do so. And crows also leave garbage all over the place, vultures do not.

  • @TeamTrogdor Let's put it this way. Humans spread more disease than crows, making us the dirtiest animals alive.

  • this was a cool video
