Awesome technique! The sweeping is very clean and fluid. The only thing I'd work on would be getting those bends properly in tune. A good way to do this would be to fret the actual note you want to bend up to, then bend the note and make sure it sounds the same as the fretted note. E.g. play an A on the 10th fret of the B string then practice bending up from the 8th or 9th fret to the A.

You have great skills, but it looks like 4 or 5 parts put together and there's no link between. You are a good guitarist for the technics but for the musical parts, you should work on that. The sweep picking at the beginning could be changed to fit the song.

Depends on the definition. The way I see it, there are degrees - Davey does have a large part of clean technique down. He´s simply pushing his skills too far (in this video) which causes small mistakes here and there. Very common with shredders as almost everybody has speed on top of their minds. Fortunately pure speed - noise - doesn´t cut it. Only clean, well thought technique can enable you to articulate what you want to say the way you want to say it.

I've never liked people who bitch about tuning and crap. You have a incredibly good technique, and play very cleanly. They make machines that tune your guitar, and you can always re-EQ your amp, but there's no machines, or knobs turning, or wishing that'll make you actally skilled at the instrument so props. You own at the only thing that matters...not sucking.

You're fast, but your ears are just as important as your hands. Tune your guitar EVERY SINGLE TIME before you play it so that you can better transpose something by ear when you hear it. Just tune and work on the tone. It might be your gear, but I'm not sure.

dude, seriously. You are awesome. but I can definately hear that you weren't perfectly in tune. Does that thing have a Floyd Rose? If so that could be one problem with the tuning, or even the reason you dont vibrato very wide. or maybe you tune with your bridge pickup. tuning with the neck pickup is far more accurate. but yeah.... I wish I could play like you. I can't even sweep 3 strings as clean as you.
