I think whoever is the owner of drcraigvideos made an error in judgment. If tf00t had taken whole videos, claimed that they were his own works and tried to monetize views (in any way), then the DMCA takedown notice would be defensible.
However, tf00t (and anyone else) is allowed by US law to take small portions of a work, with or without permission from the owner and/or agent & use them in a derivative work (so long as the work it's pulled from isn't copyrighted/patented, nor being monetized).

You are not an agent of WLC, nor of reasonablefaith(dot)org. You therefore have no legal right to compel other people to take down videos on YouTube, even if they do in fact warrant a DMCA takedown notice; you have no legal authority vested within you.
Further, works which can be demonstrably working within a Fair Use framework (i.e. parodies, critiques, etc.) would trump even the original creator's wishes (so long as the works weren't being monetized, or...well, I explained above).
The point is, drcraigvideos, is that you've likely put the existence of your channel on YouTube in peril. It is highly unlikely that tf00t or WLC would be willing to engage each other in legal action, it is more probable that WLC will disown any connection with you, disavow your actions and create an actual channel YouTube through a newly-minted authorised agent.
By filing false DMCA notices on large YouTubers like Tf00t without grounds, you've just jeopardized yourself.

I think whoever is the owner of drcraigvideos made an error in judgment. If tf00t had taken whole videos, claimed that they were his own works and tried to monetize views (in any way), then the DMCA takedown notice would be defensible.
However, tf00t (and anyone else) is allowed by US law to take small portions of a work, with or without permission from the owner and/or agent & use them in a derivative work (so long as the work it's pulled from isn't copyrighted/patented, nor being monetized).

The biggest mistake he made though was using the DMCA under the pretense as if he's the copyright owner towards videos that he's posted up. drcraigvideos isn't William Lane Craig. Yet his channel is nothing but William's videos. So all he's done is a viscious attempt to censor criticism of his hero through a hypocritical means, as if he owned the videos himself.

@sonic8005 Hello. If...*if* drcraigvideos could prove that he was an authorized agent of WLC, acting on his behalf in a legal capacity, then other than a court battle (where it's likely tf00t would win, Fair Use and all) tf00t would have to suck it up.
But I sincerely doubt drcraigvideos has any legal qualifications, additionally I think that he is confusing "I was given permission to upload videos to YouTube" with "I am WLC's legal representative on YT". He'll soon realise.

This is done by many people, on YouTube and elsewhere on the internet, for the purposes of parody, educational value, etc.
News programs aren't allowed to take stories from other channels unless there's a distribution agreement between them, mainly because the story is (in ways direct and indirect) being monetized or gaining benefit for the channel.
drcraigvideos, you may have received permission to upload WLC-related lectures and videos to a different site (YouTube), but...

You are not an agent of WLC, nor of reasonablefaith(dot)org. You therefore have no legal right to compel other people to take down videos on YouTube, even if they do in fact warrant a DMCA takedown notice; you have no legal authority vested within you.
Further, works which can be demonstrably working within a Fair Use framework (i.e. parodies, critiques, etc.) would trump even the original creator's wishes (so long as the works weren't being monetized, or...well, I explained above).

The point is, drcraigvideos, is that you've likely put the existence of your channel on YouTube in peril. It is highly unlikely that tf00t or WLC would be willing to engage each other in legal action, it is more probable that WLC will disown any connection with you, disavow your actions and create an actual channel YouTube through a newly-minted authorised agent.
By filing false DMCA notices on large YouTubers like Tf00t without grounds, you've just jeopardized yourself.

Yes @drcraigvideos does the same thing on his channel here on YouTube, WLC himself does the same thing online,in his forums. Its no wonder that WLC #1 follower would follow the same ethics as the original. WLC trolls YouTube and distorts our arguments, then he posts his straw man versions on his web page and then proceeds to attacking it. My comment was for the Original WLC and his clone.
