  • MUCH better pace of speech for me. I need to look at Sampson, Champion won't do this. I like your produce! Lovely! I was going to film first use of Wells People Press which arrived today, but tripod broke, so I will practice off-camera. The grater and screens over the right hand receptacle are a great idea, we don't like pulp/foam. I appreciate your posting these videos.

  • Looks like such a waste of food

  • I've learned so much with you in a short time especially after seeing the movie, fat, sick andalmost dead,My husband and I began to juice that night with a cheap version I had and that following tuesday after your presentation comparing four juicers we purchased the VRT, and it's now been a week.I suffer from at least2-3 serious cramps at night that feels as if my groin, sciatic area is being torn out, and since juicing I haven't had any cramps and can get a full night sleep.Keep up the good work!

  • Wow, that is such a cool juicer! I have a cheap one and I have to juice it through twice. I really love collards! I'm starting a 15 day juicing fast starting Feb. 1st. I watched a documentary called Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead that really changed my way of thinking. Since I have a garden and learning so much from you I'm calling this years garden theme, 'Lot's O' Juicing', lol. We have a rabbit front now and my husband is giving it all my broccoli leaves! lol

  • he has good information but that juicer sucks. looks like a waste

  • So, slower than a Breville but faster than a Norwalk :-) And the juice is not as whipped up.

  • After watching the amount of time involved here, I think I'm going to stick with the 1.5 minutes this takes in my Vitamix. I also hate the thought of discarding so much good fiber. ; )

  • dude, u need a brevile. that was painfully slow to watch.

  • Yammy!

  • Gosh, I've watched almost all your great videos and am definitely going to purchase one, but somewhat undecided. I definitely want to juice mostly greens, but which is best from what I have below in terms of nutrition content, and how much better? Here are my choices:

    1. Omega 8004

    2. Green Star Elite

    3. Samson 9006

    Thanks!

  • I have not done specific testing on nutrient quality on those machines. All of them are fairly similiar. The GSE-5000 probably "edges" out the others in terms of nutrition. The 8004 and 9006 are fairly similar in nutrition, as they use the same extraction method.

  • Can you put whole broccoli chunks, broccoli leaves, the whole shewbang?

  • Yes, you can.

  • @rawfoods Is there such thing as saving the juice and storing that in the frig? If so, what is the time frame of storing juice in the frig?

  • Yes, you CAN store juice for up to 72 hours with a LOW RPM juicer, such as the juicers in this video. That being said, I encourage people to drink the juice right after its made for highest benefit. The longer it sits, the less the nutrition.

  • Hey John, what is the best juicer I can buy for $200 or under that can juice fruits, veggies, wheat grass, and greens?

  • There is not one I would reccomend. The one that comes closest is the Omegfa 8003.

  • What about the celery leaves?

  • Those greens are beautiful ! Almost don't look real : D

  • if all you do is drink juice....do you even like.....poop?

  • juice to the rescue

  • John is it okay to add pineapple chunks?

  • You can add anything you like to your juice. I tend to only add pears or apples or lemons to a vegetable juice. I strive to keep my juice blends to a maxmium of 6 ingredients..

  • Hello John, do you have any idea how the Jack LaLanne juicers stack up?

  • The jack lalanne is a centrifgual ejection style machine. I compare a centrifugal ejection to a horizontal single auger juicer in the video below:

    watch?v=7kPkJ2Jebd0

  • @ckpeltomaa

I have a Jack LaLanne Juicer and it rocks! Little bit of cleaning involved after use but well worth it. I get a ton of juice out of the fruits and veg I put in.

  • Watching the juicer is oddly soothing. XD

  • Great information. I appreciate all your videos. Your videos look great. What camera do you use to film your videos? And what do you use to edit them? Thank you.

  • this juicer looks so great! i would have stopped my champion 3 or 4 times to unclog it and let it cool off just for that amount of juice. i like that the screen is pretty good size mesh and that you have the option of not even using it, if you don't to filter. with the champion, even the largest mesh screen is really tiny and clogs easily, although lets the foam through.

  • This machine is VERY slow. I use a Jack LaLanne and his product makes yours look like something out of the Stone Age.

  • it seriously sounds like its eating the veggies

  • John I know you can juice broc leaves, what about culliflower leaves?

    Keep up the wonderful video's

  • Yes, you can juice brocolli leaves and other brassica plants leaves.

  • lovely greens!

  • Love the quick response! Thank you for the info....I will do the "Best" I can then!

  • Watch

    where I share some tips.

  • Hi, I'm new to juicing and own a Champion 1100. I'm planning on making this a lifestyle change in hopes of eventually being able to get off medicine I take for autoimmune diseases. My time is limited and I was wondering if it harms the juice to freeze it. Making several ahead of time would be a huge help, but I also want to get the full benefit of juicing. Thank you for your time!

  • When you freeze juice, some nutrient degredation occurs. I recommend to ALWAYS drink your juice FRESH right after you make it for best results. Of course, a de-frosted, frozen juice is better than a soda, and probably a shelf-stable bottle of juice.. So remember good.. better.. best.. I encourage everyone to always do the best you can.

  • I juiced for years but came to the conclusion that it makes so much more sense to use the WHOLE (cored or peeled only if necessary) fruits and veggie and blend them into a smoothie in the blender...it's less processed, there's a lot less valuable waste, less ingredients, less time, less mess, and MORE nutritional benefits!!! Just put the juiciest foods like oranges in the bottom of the blender to get it spinning.

  • @hikn2peak And drink a glass of thick frothy muck? No thanks. LOL.

  • @JhonathanFree I betcha it is good!

  • How long does it take for your order to arrive?

  • Depends on where you are located. Orders are usually delivered to most parts of the USA within 5 business days.

  • This machine sad to say is Junk!

  • Hey man, that big leaf that you're holding at 3:15 isn't a broccoli leaf; it's a collard green leaf. Broccoli leaves have a very slight wave to them, and are a more blue-ish green colored leaf. Love the video, man! Keep em coming! :)

  • The juicer in this video looks like it handles celery better than my VRT350HD. The pulp on this one seems to come out thick and smooth, whereas my VRT350HD often gets clogged at the pulp discharge shoot with celery. I cut the celery into short pieces and rotate as much carrot and apple to force the celery pulp out, but it still does tend to clog up. The juicer in this vid seems to do celery with no prob. (I still love my VRT350 though! :)

  • Can you say VITAMIX! That is moving so slow.

  • @ineedawoodnow Vitamix is great. I have one, but it is not a juicer. its a whole foods blender. (I actually prefer it over juicing)

  • Beauitful veges :0

  • Hi John, I'm a novice juicer. Is there a problem with having foam in juice? Is it a minor thing like some people not liking the foam consistency, or is it more to do with the quality of the juice with oxidation? Thanks.

  • Most juicers make some foam, depending on what juicer you are using and the produce being juiced. You can strain it off or drink it. Its a personal preference. That being said, foam is juice with air. So yes, there is some oxidation that occurs in the foam.

  • @rawfoods hi.. what do you do with the juicer "poop" ? serious question btw..

  • Hi John, I began juicing about a week ago using the Omega 8004. I started juicing just organic spinach & Kale for the first couple of days. Then, just bok choy & collards for some days. I've been drinking green juice everyday since. But I've noticed that I have been getting lots of acne breakouts since starting juicing. Do you think it's because of the heavy concentration of greens in my juice? I make a glass worth. Should I put less greens & more of something else? Or should i not juice daily?

  • If it were me, I would reduce the amount of green juices I am drinking to see if I could get the acne to reduce. I would also purchase organic produce. When I (rarely) purchase conventional produce, I will break out due to the chemical residues in the produce, so its extremly rare that I purchase non-organic greens

  • @abhav7 it could either be the effects of conventional produce or the purging of mucus out of your system. green juices would reduce acne over time, but may cause it to build up in the short term as it is being cleansed from your system.

  • Some produce is better "juiced" or runs thru the machine easier. If you rotate the produce, it helps the juicer to be more effective at everything being juiced, in most cases.

  • Should you add lemon to avoid browning of the apples?

  • You can if you would like. Its best to drink the juice right after you make it, so the least browing occurs.

  • Can you use a blender and do this?

  • A blender is not the same as a juicer. Please see my video on juicing vs blending on youtube.

  • Can you eat the stuff that comes out that is separated from the juice?

  • Yes. Some people make them into dehydrated crackers, you can also use it as a base for a salad (by mashing up avocado into it), use it for carrot cake or other cakes, you can feed it to your animals, chickens, dogs, there are so many uses for the pulp. Many people use it to compost.

  • hi john! thanks for all the video uploads. I have a cheap and useless juicer that im using right now and wants to replace it, i mainly juice carrots, apple, cucumbers, and wanna start juicing brocolli. which machine can you recommend to do best, esp with brocolli? im leaning for omega 8006, but please advise me. thank you!

  • I would go with something like the Omega 4000. A centrifugal ejection style juicer makes a pulp-free juice, and is good for the veggies you reccomended. The Omega 8006 does not produce as high of a yield on carrots as the Omega 4000. The 8006 would be a better choice if you wanted to juice a significant amount of leafy greens, which you did not mention.

  • @rawfoods

I primarily want to juice liefy greens: kale, kollards, spinach, bok choi, cabbage, romaine lettuce, AND some fruits (carrots, apples, pineapple, cantulope). Can you pleaase recomend two juicers that do good job for the lowest price (price is a consideration).

Also, even if the produce is organic, what do you use to wash it to get rid of any chemicals, pesticides residue and the like?

    Thanks in advance.

  • I would recommend either the Omega 8004/8006 or the Samson 9003/9004/905 or 9006. The horizontal single augers juice leafy greens better than the veritcal single augers. They also do "ok" with fruits.

Yes, I always encourage people to wash their produce to lessen the pesticide load. Better yet is to grow your own produce so you can know what was put on the produce.

  • @rawfoods

Thanks John. I am impressed how quickly you answered, and let me tell you I love your videos.

Now for the final cut, of the juicers you mention which is likely the "optimal" one (most nutrition for the best price)?? And will that final selection be the one your site offers as a special next month?? :-)

    Keep up the excellent work!

  • For the criteria of "lowest" price and "most nutrition" I would go with the Omega 8004 or 8006, they offer 80 RPM (which means low oxidation) and work fairly well. They are also at a good price point, and long 15 year warranty.

  • Thanks for your reply rawfoods.

  • Can you juice the leaves of celery, beetroot, and fennel?

  • Yes, you can juice them. Celery leaf can taste strong, so I don't usually juice them.

  • TY John! So for making such green juice (not minding the other, multi-function features), is your favored juicer now the horizontal Omega dual stage, or the vertical Omega VRT330?

  • My two favorite juicers are the Omega 8006 / 8004 and the Omega VRT330. I keep flipping between the two. Each one does something a little different. Choose a juicer based on your needs. I have several videos comparing the vertical vs horizonal augers.
