The guitar hero engine is screwed anyways. You don't have to strum the proper amount of times on fast parts. It's the same with the drums. You just have to hit a certain number of strums and you will get it regardless. That number is well under 21.

OK, basically, by holding the fret on the slide bar and then hitting a regular fret, you switch the set of frets you're using.

So, by doing so repeatedly, it thinks you are tapping the same fret again and again.
