  • he looked so funny when the draw was opened, this correct way to keep babys

  • we keep babies in cribs. its kinda the same thing. take them out when they want to play, put them down after a meal so they can digest their food.

  • Quantity not quality. It does seem a bit cruel though.

  • q lindooo !

  • that poor bird, i konw people say that this is ok but when the bird rescue senter i worked at got baby birds they where kept on a tank with somthing soft for them to sit on like bedding and alot of small fun toys...No people this is not OK....

  • Reminds me of the eagle in banjo kazooie

  • People of YouTube: you are ignorant and loud-mouthed. The way they are raising these birds in the video is not only safe and correct, it is PREFERRED. Just accept that you know nothing and let these people do their job.

  • lmao, smiling bird out of a shelf xD

  • aaaaahhhhhh he is so cute

  • dito

  • oh...that is so great....i feel bad that he is in a box...why the box...he cannot see anything...that bothers me....so very much please explain.

  • @aJoshudHowar Do you rly think they "can see" from their nests in nature? Those parrots are growing up in the hollow trees with only a small hole as an entrance for their parents, it's perfectly natural, so deal with it. In this age, parrots are not able to sit on tree (or stick), so they have to be kept in a box....and it's better for them not to be in some large space or busy surroundings, because they feel safe like this: in a box!

  • Fucking whiners everywhere.

  • It's fascinating, the Animal Morality Squad is patrolling YouTube and giving righteous lessons, 70 comments at a time, about how horrible you are for not letting a baby parrot fly freely around the house and destroy/crap on everything.

Who cares if the birs is weak and young and needs a small box to make it feel safe like in its egg, you dang bird nazis...

Makes me wonder if "internet for everyone" has ever been a good idea...

  • how much?

  • continuing... should have been involved to simply cover the wings for the bird's own safety.

That is my own personal opinion on this clip..no troll here, just a parrot owner and care giver for over 40 years and I NEVER use that much force giving my girl her meds. I give a pace even to her swallowing, not ram it in like a enema. And my wife is there to cover her wings so the parrot does not injure herself.

  • continuing...something that is veryimportant to all babies, not just parrots. The plastic is cheaper, so obviously these breeders are intrested in maximizing profit.

AS for the feeding, I undertand it is importnat to keep a certain level of flow to prevent the bird from spitting up but in my opinion, the feeding here is too forceful and I would personally not feed a bird that quickly. Also, letting the wings thrash about is not too profesional either. A second person should be continued...

  • First off, this video looks like nothing more than a advertisment for the breeder, complete with a little annotations that are nothing more than adverts.

As for the stoarge, having been a parrot owner for over 30 years, I can tell you that this is the first time I have ever seen Tuperware been used to house a baby parrot. Most of the time, large glass aquariumsare used for the fact that galss is more sanitary than plasitc and the clear glass gives them visual stimulation...continued

  • The boxes are heated, plastic isn't prone to carrying germs like porous wood it dries faster and won't grow mold or mildew from the damp. the grate allows a young bird to practice flexing and gripping so they can hold onto a perch or shoulder. birds bob their heads to swallow. wings are spread to keep others from interrupting their meal. that is instinct.

  • poor birds locked up in the dark...

  • omg it seems like this whole family is so f ucked up..keeping parrots in cheap plastic boxes so wrong, and guys it seems like the bitch feeding the parrot seems well in hurry..guess she need to go to her full time job of been a cheap vice girl on the streets selling sex to junkies...omg it's such a shame to see all this lovely birds with this bunch of nutters..it's just so wrong

  • @captfilk your a fucking douch bag thats how bird eat so shut the fuck up dumbass

  • Any idiot in their right mind can see that this box is heated for the protection and safety of these extremely fragile baby birds. You people with the vicious comments seriously need to cool off and go find something better to do than complain. The Golden Cockatoo is doing more for these birds than you ever will by complaining on YouTube comments all day.

  • are macaws hard to keep?

  • Data animal abuse

  • it's a disgrace to keep that little baby in that plastic box...insane pet shop, they should be hanged

  • @captfilk

can you please explain to everybody what your experience with psittacines is? are you mark hagen? are you anybody we would give a shit about their opinion? have you ever heard of brooders? are you gonna search brooders on google? can you name all the parrots you have raised bred and hand fed in your 3 acre open aviary? perhaps you can tell us how you magically kept the chicks warm outside of the brooders. i didnt think so. so please be a sweetheart and SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • @oOoSorrowoOo instead of telling me to shur the fuck up why don't u g screw urself for keeping that baby in that horrible nasty plastic box..if you that good a breeder which I very much doubt why don't you put ur address here and then let the animal right activits will decide what is good and bad....you son of evil

  • @captfilk go fuck yourself with your fist even harder cuz you are already way up your ass with your ego of rightiousness. these boxes are heated and the babies are obviuosly healthy. you stupid troll go into that poison ivy bush you came from.

  • @captfilk

LOL... nice job advocating your case with absolutely ZERO answers to any of the questions. That means you have no grounds for an argument at all. Way to go ignorant troll!

  • Okay. I'm sick of these comments. IF you did not hear the man in the beginning, they are kept in containers for safety. It's less stress, and it's more of a nest area that comforts them. The lady did NOT shove ANYTHING into the baby's mouth, he was excited to see her, and food. That's how most babies greet mothers, by bobbing like that, they're saying "Hello, mom. I see you have food" basically. Learn a little before you criticize, who is the bird master on this video? Obv. not you guys.

  • Your feeding the baby wayy to fast your pretty much shoving the food down his throat which can kill a parrot by the way.

  • @jaclynn17 Really? If you look carefully, the woman barely even puts it in, if anything she was protecting him. Look at how a mother bird feeds her babies, they greet like that, and if you aren't feeding them like that, then you are obviously letting it stay in their beak.

  • I love all the ignorant comments here from people who have no idea what they're talking about. These bins are the best place for them. It keeps them safe and secure and helps them to feel that way as well, reducing stress. This method of feeding them is also very similar to how a parent bird would feed them. Before you start criticizing, do some research so you at least know what you're talking about.

  • Everyone is leaving nasty comments omg chill out maybe that just where they bring them when they feed so they know who hasnt and hasnt been fed!

  • Why are they in bins? He even said 'this is where we store our birds' as if they were chips in a grocery store.

  • omg why in those bins?! and when bobbing, it looks like the bin is going to pop right out!

  • I want to bring that baby home... ;)

  • Comment removed

  • WTF y is that macaw in a plastic box!! That's just wrong.

  • What the fuck?! Why are you keeping them in TINY containers, they're not exactly small birds. You sick fucks.

  • they are kept are the container store

  • they shove the food down its mouth it freaks out AWWW you like that dont you

  • These birds should NOT be raised in those bins. There is inadequate air in those bins and they cannot see out of them for any interaction. I wouldn't call $10 pull out bins proper. Put them in something more formidable

  • I think that chick would love it a lot more if it was being fed by its loving, caring parents in a dark nestbox out in the jungle.

  • @Skywalker91 Where most of them could be hunted and killed instead of being fed and played with each day?

  • I think everybody would love it if you keep your uneducated ignorant and utterly oblivious opinions to yourself and stop annoying people with experience about it. you people are full of it. i'm pretty sure you cannot tell a house sparrow from a house finch and still blabber on youtube giving useless advice on a subject you know nothing about. what will happen when a certain species goes extinct in the wild because of some natural disaster? where are you gonna find it?

  • You people are dumb.you dont store birds in thos

  • @bnmartiol

may be to keep the temp.

  • ....thanks to Capitol Gaming! I didn't get to finish my statement, but I will end with: IM SURE these birds are immaculately cared for and I fully support this video! BIG LIKE!!

  • To all the people calling the pet store a 'disgrace': Calm down and stop trolling.

Setting aside for a moment that people who run and operate a successful bird store know more about birds than people writing stupid comments on YouTube, this is how baby birds are heated and kept safe. They're extremely vulnerable. See PhotoFox23's comments for details. I've seen a lot of pet stores in my day and these birds look wonderfully taken care of. Don't badmouth what you don't understand.

  • @CapitolGaming I absolutelíy agree with you, as this system just try to act as a nest to keep the tiny birds safe

  • The baby birds are only kept in the drawer systems while feeding, to digest and sometimes at night. They are warmed and clean. When I used to sell baby birds at the pet shop I worked for, we kept them in heated small tanks when they are this young. There is NOTHING wrong with what they're doing, and please don't bad mouth and comment negatively about what you do not know or understand. Baby birds in the wild at this age are housed in small nest cavities, usually in hollowed out trees. I'm SURE

  • Why do you do this! everytime i look at this video i feel sad :(

  • i really love the birds that i see in the video but when i saw that they are kept in a plastic box i felt so sad. i'm sorry but they shouldn't be kept in it

  • I believe is very wrong to keep a bird in a box like this.Heated box or not.If you can not own a bird farm correctly dont have one at all.Birds need to be in a open cage bigger that the size of it.It also has to have enough room to step ato least 8 steps. This is really wrong and im sure not going to this bird farm any time soon.Birds have rights to people just dont get it and only want the money.Sadd....

  • wow what a life, they sit in a plastic box all day until they are old enough to be sold. You people are a disgrace!

  • @TheGreenCheekConure Unless you have come down here to Broward County and visited this establishment don't you dare knock it. You will not find a more caring environment. The cases are clean. The birds are let out and have plenty of interaction. Katie, rick and the rest of the crew are just amazing with these animals and will not sell you a bird, even if you have the money, unless they feel you will take care of it.

  • @joizzy87 That doesn't matter at all. Birds are not to be put in these boxes. That's is crazy. I've seen how birds are bred and I've never seen a bird farm do this. You people do it because you don't care about the birds.

  • @TheGreenCheekConure You are so stupid. The "boxes" are nests for the BABY birds. Videos make everything seem smaller, believe me. Did you not read anything Joizzy said?

  • @Gazuntiteable No I'm not stupid. You can ask any bird breeder out there and they would never recommend this type of so called "nest" I know how birds are bred and I know how they are taken care of when they are babies. I've never seen this in any pet shop or bird farm, why? Because its just not right!! This is just the result of a breeder that's to cheap or doesn't have the money to create a proper enclosure. The real stupid person is you and the owners of this place!

  • This guy"Rick" is the biggest dickhead.. He claims to be an avian specialist! Ha!

He didn't know sqwat when his wife talked him into buying The Golden Cockatoo. The only reason thier still in bussiness is because it had a foundation of clientel from the previous owners.

  • Hi, if your babies are kept in those drawers, how do you keep them heated and warm?

  • @beaglessf The drawers, I imagine, are heated. There are likely pads. This looks very state of the art.

  • Cute.
