Lo & behold Yuan, you have exceeded yourself in all too customary fashion. Here Rafi is superlative, Dilip is seasoned but characteristically splendid, the music is sublime & Waheeda divine; she was another performer, as gifted as she was beautiful, certainly of the Hepburn/Taylor calibre who should have been able to make an equal impact in London & LA as she did in Bombay; her gifts for stillness & vulnerability were phenomenal. This song evokes such strong memories of my childhood. One of the first movies I saw and depicts the love of brotherhood so well. I have a younger brother (very close to my age) and we were inseparable and were teased as Ram aur Shyam. Also, Dilip Kumar was my Dad's favorite and Waheeda was my Mom's favorite. So, this movie was a major hit in our house hold. Thanks for thee post.
