I have also discovered the awesome power of the bard! although my build is 50:50 bard/riftstalker... makes for an excellent tank/raid buffer/healer combo, insane sustainability

Try out Bard/Nightblade (8)/Riftstalker (2)
The added escape move from Riftstalker makes you deadly and able to move around the battlefield a lot more if necessary
