If I may be so bold wether to ask who is the main character? for the entire movie I could swear it was Alice allthough I could be wrong I suppose she only ever appeared in it 90% of the time...

  • im 13 and this and Mary Poppins were my favriote movies when i was little and because of then im obbsessed with England and the 1800s-early 1900s

  • I really, really wish people would stop comparing all the different versions of Alice in Wonderland. I loved Burtons, this version, the original book and Alice Madness Returns ( as well as another version but I forgot who made it. :P ). The point is, they all are just different interpretations of the same thing, there is no reason to compare them or put one down. If you don't like one version, don't watch it. That simple.

  • @ LolGurrl91

Hey no problem. You dont have to explain yourself....I totally get what your saying. I mean I personally love both versions but obviously not everyone is gonna agree. I just figured that if people were gonna get into it about this they should at least know what their fighting about! XD

  • Facts straight corrected :)

  • 2nd book is actually called "Through the Looking Glass" together both books give you all the adaptations we see made by many many people

  • this makes me feel not so bad

  • @LolGurrl91

I'm not gonna diss your opinion on the movie because I don't really care, but I just thought that if there was gonna be a fight about it then everyone should get their facts straight. Tim Burton actually based his movie off of the book 'the looking glass wars' in which Alice is actually the princess of wonderland who gets lost in our world and returns as a warrior to defeat the red queen, her aunt. Burton simply named the movie Alice in Wonderland because it's more well known

  • @dance4life0624 I love you.

  • @dance4life0624 Huh, i never knew that. I guess if i saw it from that perspective, i MAY have liked it a little bit. I mean, the visuals were pretty cool and even some ideas were interesting. I just couldn't get into it though :/

  • LOL i just saw the uploaders name XD

  • she was def the hottest

  • Its funny how this cartoon looks more realistic then alot of the cartoons they make today.

  • lol my dad calls that weird talk that somehow comes to a point "blonde talk" because pretty much only blondes can understand how they got to the point! (i am a blonde)

  • I was as confused as that can the first time I watched this

  • *alice

  • do you also ever wanted slices cat? :)

  • I have no idia why but I really wamt to go to this version of wonderland.

  • Becareful what you wish for Bitch!

  • Alice <3<3<3

  • when i was a little boy i was phuckin madly obbsessed with this song!! i still am .. its pure metaphorical genius.. phuck-in- ay!!!!

  • Haah, now this is the essence of Alice in Wonderland. Tim Burten raped the whole idea of Alice and made her this tool who isn't even the main character!! >:C If your gonna make a film about Alice in Wonderland, it had better revolve around Alice. I love the original Disney version, and i especially love the new Alice game that came out a few months ago. Even though it's twisted and dark, I love it all the more! ^__^ And it at least revolves around Alice.

  • @LolGurrl91 Let me love you C:

  • @TheLouiseWhalen LOL! XD

  • @LolGurrl91

Tim Burton had his own version, so what? If you don't like it you don't have to complain about it, I'm sick of people saying how much hated it. It was a great movie and if you don't think so, fine. No need to say it on every Alice in Wonderland video there is.

  • @AmeliaJane74 Hey, im merely expressing my opinion. Everyone's entitled to one. If u liked it, all the more power to u. But if someone doesn't share ur sentiments, don't hate. Just let it go, and move on. We're all free to express ourselves, im sorry if that peeves u off. No offense to u or anyone who liked it, but personally i wasn't pleased with his version. But, as i've explained, that's just what i think and i don't judge anyone who does like it.

  • @LolGurrl91

Like I said, there is no need to comment it on other Alice in Wonderland videos, they have nothing to do with his version and I don't think it's fair to compare them. -_-"

  • @AmeliaJane74 Wellll unfortunately, u have mistaken me for someone who gives a damn ;D Everyone shares their thoughts and opinions on the internet these days. Deal with it. If expressing my thoughts makes me a troll, then so be it. Ur only making me laugh when u keep saying how much it bothers u that some people diss Tim's work. I don't get MY panties in a twist when u like the movie, do i? Maybe i like comparing movies, that doesn't mean i expect others to agree with me.

  • @LolGurrl91 Calm your tits. You don't have to explain yourself to people.

  • @Gothicgurlz12 i know, it's just fun to see their reactions. I guess im a bit of a troll that way, lol! XD

  • @LolGurrl91 thats my fave game! it's called alice:madness returns

  • @sailorscoobygirl04 Oh i know! I'm playing it for the second time, though it always feel bitter sweet when u beat the game 'cause it's like "....WHAT?! It's over?!?!" :C I wish American would make a sequel.

  • @LolGurrl91 Well, Madness Returns IS the sequel. That's the thing, it only just released now. The original American McGee's Alice, the first game, is from like 2000 I think. So it's taken them 11 years to release ONE sequel. Another one ...well..won't be for quite some time lol.

  • @ElysiumStorms Oh i knew that, i mean i want there 2 b a 3rd game

  • @LolGurrl91 Be prepared to wait that long again lol. Not sure how financially successful Madness Returns was.

  • @LolGurrl91 I AGREE!

I love Tim Burtons work don't get me wrong (Sweeny Todd, and Nightmare before Christmas were classics!), but re-making Alice in Wonderland was such a mistake. It just didn't work well. Sure it was more accurate to the book, but it wasn't the same curious adventure down the rabbit hole that I fell in love with when I was five. I still watch this version all the time!

  • @AceInSpace14 I couldn't agree with you more. Some things just shouldn't be tampered with. I remember watching this as a child many years ago, and i still love it :) this is my favorite fairy tale because I'm a constant day dreamer, myself. To me, this movie shows how one's imagination can be a good thing to help them escape from time to time. However it can, to a degree, be unhealthy if one spends too much time in their own made up world and can work against them instead of helping them.

  • @AceInSpace14 but nevertheless, i am a dreamer and always will be :) and this classical story is one that i may always favor. It's such a wonderful, strange story, but i feel as though it's one that a lot of people can identify with. Maybe im going too in depth on this, but that's just what i think. It takes you on a journey into another world :)

  • I think this disney is actually really strange...and even more now with adult eyes !

  • @ndinounette76 I can see where your coming from but if you really watch it its got a meaning to it ;)

  • Classic and Elegant

  • I FREAKING LOVE THE WAY SHE SPEAKS! the kids i know know now (my age group 12-15) Only talk like there retarded. I love hearing people speak like this, because they just sound so educated.

  • @xNewXYorksXFinestx Yeah, I do too.

  • @xNewXYorksXFinestx They're. Not there. Don't use ableist words like "retarded" when you mean something negative. Also, there's no need for two knows.

Other than that, I agree with your comments on Alice.

  • @xNewXYorksXFinestx i agree with you! i love how alice speaks. but don't say retarded to describe that something is stupid please? :)

  • SOOOOMMEWHERREEE OVER THE RAI- oh wrong song.

  • i like the disney version. i love the tim burton version. i love alice in wonderland.

  • this song is soo hard to sing hahaha

  • @goldandglittered Really? I actually find it quite easy...

  • i like the way she thinks, the writer of alice in wonderland listened to the real alice liddle on the way to oxford grounds, she told him about her world and he added his own twist on it... i still think either one had Delirium

  • @IamZead

Lewis Carroll, the writer of what was originally 'Alice's Adventures Underground,' was an opium smoker.

  • @JackAttack6six6 it was not based on drugs, though. Charles Dodgeson wrote it for Alice Liddell. He first narrated the story while spending time with Alice and her sisters in a little boat. Alice Liddell really loved the story so he decided to publish it for her(the original was called 'alice's adventures under ground')and gave it to her as a gift later publishing it later titled 'alices andventures:through the looking glass'.

  • @GoodnightToGravity

Oh, I know it wasn't. I was just telling IamZead that (s)he is technically right.

  • @JackAttack6six6 so was like everyone at that time. opium was actually prescribed by doctors as a pain medication.

  • @PinkyInTheSky

I know, it was the gentlemanly thing to smoke. Hence 'Opium houses.' Places people went to sit and smoke opium for an hour.

  • I really don't get why Disney said Alice in this movie had "no heart". I think out of all of the female leads in his early films, she had the most. She was gutsy, intelligent, and made her own decisions on her journey. She's way more proactive then Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora, who just do housework when they're not sitting around waiting for the universe to hand them things.

  • I love this song so much :))

  • Can't hear it =(

  • Love this oh so much in a world of my own!!!

  • In a world of my own sqrt(-1) would have a solution.

  • BEST MOVIE EVAAA!

  • i love alice and wonderland!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i didnt notice your username untill after the video...Dobby....

  • dinah is so cute!

  • i always thought dinah was a boy girlied up by alice, but its a girl! =)

  • dina's confused "meooow?"

    hehe.

  • When I was little I always sang along to this song and now somehow I can still remember all the words XD

  • Aaaaaaah, old memories, I used to love, and still do love all forms of Alice in wonderland.

  • ugh the kitty is so cute

  • they changed the lyrics in each language. really annoying. seriously notable in the french version. meanwhile... I'm a singing flower...

  • @jmusic303 generally you can say that Alice in Wonderland is a very difficult thing to translate because of all the new words for imaginary concepts. Although that doesn't apply for this particular song i admit :P

  • my Fav Movie ever

  • Thumbs Up If You Know The Words To This Song ;)

  • Damn i love her voice

  • alice is not mental! dont over look the story its about imagination and following good advice and its a beautiful movie why cant disney animation still be like this

  • My kitten's name is Dinah.

  • aww, this is so beautiful, I love the song and the film, and mainly the story.

  • This is like me everyday

  • orinal story of Alice in Wonderland. By Lewis carroll is parodies of his friends XD But.. actaully this tell last dream a young girl. when she woke up, she is growing up :( I wish to go wonderland and live there. But...really I would miss this world.

And that she is mad ? She is only a child and child like talking to animals and flowers and so on. But yes... that is first link that is mad if talk wiht only to you and talk like you were two persons.

I'm mad myself. I know what alice feel..

  • @wwef6lr I know, right!

  • This was the first song I ever learned when I started taking voice lessons... Good times, good times. :)

  • If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

  • 34 people are faggots.

  • that cat reminds me of my cat, but alice in wonderland is still one of the best stories ever, i love it!

  • I liked all of it! :)

I had to know the lines, so I looked up this. its a gr8 video, infact I like the song. :)

  • the lying in a flower field, I like that

  • "nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't a contrariwise what it is it wouldn't be and what it wouldn't be it would....you see"

    no.

  • meow = no :)

  • 60 years old and its still better than some of the other so-called Disney movies out today

  • Comment removed

  • My question...if Baum made Oz legit in his book & Carroll wrote Wonderland as a reflection of the changing realities that confounded him (ex: new math), does this mean that the multi-verse theories of the world actually might exist (thus making Oz & Wonderland "real" in alternate universes)?

  • You see?

    ...meow...

    Hehehe

  • dinah your so pretty wher do you live? so that i can visit you.

  • Dinah the Cat is like...B%^*H you're crazy!! What are you talking about? I think you're sniffing too many flowers!!

  • Illuminati crap programing turn it off

  • ......Why is she talking to a Cat?

  • @RareAmethyst She's mad.

  • @RareAmethyst she doesn't have anybody else to talk to except herself and you know, that's just weird :)

  • You should upload the entire movie on here - This is the BEST quality on Youtube :D

  • i just read this entire book yesterday and it was pretty good

  • thisforest where she is is like the most wonderfull place in the world so peacefull

  • owww amo esta cancion!! <3

  • Yes, it's true..... I've wished upon a star, I've longed to go to the second one to the right, and I've been looking for a little white rabbit all my life.... Disney gave me dreams that some doubt will come true...

  • Heh, "contrarywise".....I like that word. There should be a movement to put that into the dictionary....

  • Jazz it Alice

  • It's funny how she regrets this wish once she finds how bad nonsense could get.

  • @1Synner that would be the moral. She can only endure such nonsensical activities and daydreams for so long as in the first five minutes and then she's ready to go home.

  • @Hankleberg Pretty much.

Though, i don't think people in this day and age would mind spending ALOT more time in a place like wonderland if they had the chance... i mean, hey, our world is pretty mad as it is. What would be wrong with replacing the realism with a whimsical fantasy world?

  • How ironic that after that she meets flowers that talk ( and sing ) with her, animals that wear trousers and live in houses, etc.. ^^

  • hmm.. wonderland seems so nice (: but i think i'd rather go to neverland. Where would you guys go?!

  • @imcamilledevela Me ? Well.. I would go Wonderland and Neverland too :)

  • i frequently work the phrase 'cherrywise' into conversation.

  • @UnitedWeFallTogether what does cherrywise mean?

  • @ggracesophiaa It's contrary wise...

  • @ggracesophiaa tweedledee & tweedledum say 'contrary-wise' so quickly that it sounds like 'trary-wise' so i just say cherrywise.

    so it's basically just a bastardisation of 'contrary-wise'. c:

  • I live my life by this . The key to "staying young" is imagination. Alice, you're my hero.

  • 0:00-0:17 the cats just mindfucked, come to think of it so am i :/

  • I love the kitty.

  • @Lishaaaaaaa yeah sooo cute

    you see ?

    meow?

  • Dont u ever think how old alice is? 7 is my guess

  • @CpsTeens Indeed! According to the book she's 7 years old, but in Burton's film the little Alice is 9 years old. (I'm making my disseration about Alice ;-) )

  • I'm 21, and I still sing this song!

  • I wish I could go to Wonderland. To get away from all of the chaos, to have fun, to get to a place where birthdays don't mean anything and unbirthdays are what everyone celebrates. A world without guns or weapons or poison or war. A place with no school. A world where you could have a pet duck that looks like a tooty horn with eyes and flippers. A world where you could actually talk to flowers, and pretend you're one of them...I wish Wonderland was real...<3

  • Mcgee's Alice ruined Disney's Alice in Wonderland. Ever since I heard of it and saw a few videos on YouTube about it. I will never look at Disney's Alice in Wonderland the same way again that counts for Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland. I will stick to this version more then the Mcgee's version! Plus Mcgee's version of this is very dark and nightmarish!

  • @brb1006 Search "Twisted Princess Alice" in Google Images. Enjoy the nightmares.

  • This will never grow old <3

  • we all know we can't be young forever

  • too short :(

what a beautiful song, i wish i could live in my childhood forever...

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • that's basically my childhood summed up right there. not just because i love alice in wonderland but because every child dreams up their own world, to just escape into a world of fantasy, just for a while. i love it.

  • go to: ALICE NO PAÍS DAS MARAVILHAS-NO MEU MUNDO

It's a PORTUGUESE version of this music!

  • CUTTES KITTY EVERS!

  • One of my favorite quotes from any book every is the "If I had a world of my own..." quote. It made me so happy to find this video!

  • i really love this song .. :)

  • Comment removed

  • dinah is like wtf bitch?! get off the fucking shrooms...

  • This back when Disney characters could actually sing. Sigh, I miss those days.....

  • Cat is undergoing a mind fuck at the start.

  • I love how the cat has a face like " What the heck are you talking about Alice?" haha

  • i have an assesnent on this. what instrument can you hear, its pretty much choir

  • I wish SOOOOO MUCH I could go to wonderland. I have seen this movie so many times that I can quote all the songs and dialouge from the the begining to 3/4 of the way through. :P

  • I wish our world was her world cause that world sounds amazing. i wish i always lived in wonderland .

  • That is the most adorable cat I've seen in a Disney movie

  • people who press dislike on this, are obviously joking. all 660,000 thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • Personally, I think this was the best Disney movie, It was the one escape when I was little and going through my parents divorce, I always feel happy watching this! It was my little "Wonderland Escape,"

  • I really love this song, I have this song on vinyl records and that's very rare! :)

  • this song is exactly what i say wen, well i always say this... lol!

  • @Kumorishishiyou - Me too.

  • I always have loved this movie. :)

  • '... because my world would be a Wonderland...' <3 <3 <3

  • Kathryn Beaumont was not only the voice of Alice but was also the model for how she would look because Walt Disney was so impressed with how she looked at such a young age. She is still alive and still teaches at an elementary school in Los Angeles. I would love to hear some of the stories that she could tell.

  • I have the volume turned up all the way on my laptop and I can barely hear it.

  • thing is, she got her wish, and was sorry later.... and this song is so sleepy...

  • This makes me wanna be done with school, work, EVERYTHING! Just stop it all, and just lie down next to a brook in a field of flowers. To close my eyes and drift off to Wonderland, where I shall attend random unbirthday parties and sing with flowers.... Oh Wonderland... how I love you... <3

  • @jonnavdpas that would mean you would need a lot of something else to make it to wonderland and that thing cost money

  • @theartisticpixie

    Well okay that's true. XD

  • @theartisticpixie: Or creativity mixed with drugs.

  • @jonnavdpas

Yes, yes... Just keep from going mad, or you can't return! lol xD The original tale was written by Lewis for a young Alice that he knew, so many assumptions are wrong, but in the Alice games on Xbox 360, they cover an assumption about Alice as a character being mental, which is why she never actually leaves Wonderland. lol But don't worry! The games aren't that scary! :D They're FUN! <3

  • @CosplayCore LOL. I was never sane to begin with! XD

Oh and American McGee's Alice is sooo awesome! <3

  • 0:24 always makes me chuckle... the kitty cat is so cute!

  • holy shit. i'm so high.

and now i finally understand wonderland.

  • i just cried.

  • I can sing this in perfect tone. <3

  • I can't see how the book was supposed to be a children's story, because I know my younger self would read the first chapter and be like, "Um... what?" >.< I guess 1865's English children were just geniuses.

  • i named my cat after Dinah

  • that's it I wanna go to wonderland I'm going to go eat some shrums! O.o!! lol
