  • The fools will laugh at him, the wise will understand...

  • yea i think allot of people will look at ur videos and think ur a complete retard, and that the technique is bad. but they fail to understand that your just trying to teach certain strokes or techniques in parts, and eventually when putting the whole thing together, these drill will improve your actual entire stroke

  • This is a nice way to teach beginers, there are many people who are struck at 3.0 and 3.5 level because the do not have racquet head control. This method of starting to play tennis will give them the head control and proper spacing. Once they have it they can then start building their strokes on it.

But I seriously feel something wrong about your double handed backhand. I can easily say it is not your natural shot. Your drive (2H BH) has some flaw and does not look natural.

  • I do worry about some of the comments. This Chap is just trying to demonstrate what the raquet face should be doing immediately before and after the impact. If the contributors who actually think this is his normal 'Full' stroke maybe they should look at some of his other videos. eg. . Developing Tennis Groundstroke Techniques. In these, he starts with a compact stroke as per this video, but later develops it to a full stroke.Nice Video. . Very useful.

  • Good point, and good mini-lesson. And as an aside, shows how dumb 'the average guy's' is. Not only do they not get the "first key" as written and as common sense would dictate, then they are pissed at a free you tube instructional video.

  • If you can't tell he is just teaching and not playing, better think about an alternative to playing tennis. if you don't understand what I just said, then you need to read the line again. If you still don't understand, then accept that you are a retard and stop "disliking" this guys videos.

  • ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?? WHAT A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF TEACHING TENNIS ELBOW MOTHER FUCKER!

IM ONLY 4.0 but i swear to god i could give you enough bagels to last a life time you fucking lame excuse for a coach!!

THIS IS TOTALLY PISSING ME OFF

  • @bigpeezyweezy

dude, chill out man. he's not teaching you to hit strokes like this, he's just demonstrating the 'driving through' part of the forehand and backhand, he's not actually saying this is the complete motion of the strokes. Actually try and understand the video before swearing and ranting in capital letters.

    f.y.i. i am a 5.0

  • this can beat Nedal easily, good job

  • Good one! thanks

  • very good point you're making. Got make sure we hit through the ball. It's funny how some people actually think this is your normal strokes

  • Is the best way to learn. Beginners normally cut the movement when they touch the ball. This video is teaching to follow with the raquet forward after the contact with the ball. Very good

  • he knows the technik this is like an easy excercise for practicing, its like the basic of a drive, then depending on the ball, the swing changes and the grips like, wester, easter, full wester... etc... Well this men knows how to teach... teaching isnt easy, playing its different... great vid by the way...

  • its not his actual swing he was showing how you need to get the idea of driving through the ball

  • Your so stiff. Loosin up and swing through the ball dotn push it. The racket should go from your right all the way to your left

  • umm he isn't actually swinging. it's a demostration

  • @KRodfadesaway427 Well then his demonstration should be of an actual swing dont ya think.

  • no I dont because then how would you be able to see it in action?

  • @KRodfadesaway427 How hard is it to see a swing?

  • for beginners, very hard stop being so ignorant

  • @KRodfadesaway427 You are a fool. Play me somtime fool.

  • where do you live because if it's close I'll school you with a wood racquet you punk

  • HA i live in VA and went nearly undefeated in High school. Not to worried about you and your wooden racquet haha you have no idea who your challenging

  • @LBTennis wtf is nearly undefeated? either u win or lose

  • @bimbim007 I lost once. Thats nearly undefeated.

  • @LBTennis You don't know what you're talking about.. A vertical swing ideal, right to left is not good technique. The follow through ends at your left, but every movement up until and through contact should be straight or a vertical movement.

  • They're all in but he looks ridiculous D:

  • This guy has really any idea about the two handed backhand...

  • nice demostration but guy looks retard xD

  • this guy looks retarded

  • Exaggerated and very well demonstrated!

  • common guys, this video is for the beginner and it is very good. gosh, cant you see?

  • No i cant see. Its a bad technique. You dont have to be that stiff and hes just pushing the ball. You have to swing through and over

  • I bet you're one of those people who think that they have to use wrist when swinging topspins...LOL The racket should stay parallel at all times to create a decent topspin.

  • toglila sta cazzata

  • contact point on your backhand is too close to his body but overall this is a good video.

it teaches people to drive through the ball and maintain their arm structure (be it double bend or straight arm). too many amateurs try to "whip" the racquet, assuming speed = power. that would be true if tennis balls were baseballs and tennis racquets were 2x4's, but when there is compression and tension involved, its much more important to crush the ball than it is to slap it.

  • most pro whip the ball. with right timing.

  • It looks like they do because of the loop and the finish if you watch it on tv, you need to watch it in slow motion around contact point. No whipping involved. It's always a bad sign when the pro game looks mystical to you.

  • for all you retards who think this guys so bad you obviously know nothing about tennis cuz that isn't his actual technique he is just trying to show something specific you will do in your stroke

  • can someone watch my vids and give me some tips...please!

  • Okay most of you obviously don't understand what is going so I am gonna try and explain it nice and slow. He is just teaching the technique of hitting through the ball. He actually has strokes, this is just to help people get the idea of driving through it. He is trying to help beginners, not professionals. So get a grip and realize that this guy is trying to help people. Unlike all of you who just brag about how good you are. Well then prove it.

  • wow

its a practice method to teach people to drive through

you revert to your regular stroke normally but it teaches the concept of driving your racket face through the ball

you DO NOT hit the ball like that

  • shun23, how would that get you injured? all good tennis players know that to hit a good forehand, the arm must be in the "double bend" position. in other words, the arm is bent foward slightly at the elbow and the wrist is bent back at contact. this position must be maintained through contact to ensure a powerful and consistent hit. i don't know how you learned to play tennis, but this guys technique is right, and this drill is good for beginners and juniors

  • This is only one part of the whole swing ..

'Drive The Racquet Forward Through The Ball' .. good one.

  • mas natural? shut up...his just learning, look, his not failing the balls, so his doing very weel

  • This is just an idea of how to put topspin on the ball!

  • I'm a beginner but even I can see he's demonstrating part of a swing. It could be misleading though. They should have some verbal explanation to go along with the vid.

I think I understand what he's doing because I've had a proper full swing taught to me. Not everyone has.

  • This guy is only showing the basics to driving the ball. No shit when you play you're not actually going to do this, this just helps build a foundation for a stroke.

  • whenever i feel like my form is breaking down again, i revert to doing this in practice as a way of getting back the feel of hitting through the ball. thanks for showing this drill.

  • you retards this guy is showing the basics. Fuck people on the internet are stupid. Yeah he totally wants you to go out and hit like this... THIS IS A TEMPLATE TO HITTING PROPERLY. Going on Youtube makes me sad sometimes

  • haha chill shit you can bag on him when youre #1, plus its just because he's trying to show his point, its not like he hits like this haha

  • great tips .. great video .. don't take the stupid people rating this video. it is a great video

  • ehh....contains useful info but the guy is like a robot....you should bend your knees once in a while

  • retarded gayfag. watch the rest of his videos before commenting.

  • ur the fucked one for not understanding the idea of this video

  • y liftar??

  • que derecho es ese no tiene nada de tecnico

  • Very good video. It shows the basics to what a forehand needs to be.

  • You are an asshole stevewhan, dont you think?

  • This demonstration *isolates* a single aspect of a groundstroke; namely, the part relevant to the expression "hitting through the ball."

The intention is *not* to demonstrate a full stroke. He is deliberately not incorporating a backswing or a follow though.

He's demonstrating the part of the swing just prior to contact through to just after contact with the ball. Note how the racquet and the ball take the same line during this perfect demonstration of "hitting through the ball".

  • this can actually cause injury and future terrible ineffective looking strokes. It is more of an olden form of tennis coaching in my point of view.

  • This is not about teaching tennis technique. It's about YOU understanding the building blocks with which the strokes are built.

One of them is hitting through the ball like I DEMONSTRATE here. I don't TEACH, I demonstrate slowly.

If I were to hit with normal speed you WOULDN'T be able to see the building blocks of a stroke.

If on the other hand you take a look at some slow motion videos of pros, you will see that a PART of their stroke looks EXACTLY like I demonstrated in the video above.

  • I think the problem lies in the fact that random people are clicking on your videos without really knowing the basis of your teachings. People might find your exercises and practice strange who do not understand the philosophy behind it, especially when viewed in isolation from the rest of your teachings

  • @TennisMindGame Yeah a part there is WAY more to it.

  • @GyariSan I agree one hundred percent. I'm only in eighth grade and my strokes look better than that. I actually come through the ball. Finish off the strokes man.

  • i think hes doing no follow through cause this is suppose to TEACH this isn't his real game, so he would in a match probably have more force with a follow through

  • how can he do such a little topspin?

he isn't swinging he's arm trough....?

How? pls Write me when you know

  • This is not trying to show the full swing its training yourself to folllow through when you finally do the full swing. you get in the habbit to follow through so your full swing will be more complete

  • :S :S :S

  • hitting through is fine but locking your wrist like that and not following through is a bad idea

  • wtf no follow through

  • Terrible tips. Stopping your follow through like that will lead to injuries. There are no "beginners strokes and advanced strokes". There are only correct strokes and incorrect strokes. You can teach a beginner to hit the correct way without abbreviated strokes.

  • this is plat forhand. so what?

  • Huh? So what? ... This drill is made for beginners to learn how to hit through the ball, instead of trying to hit the ball.

  • But This Is Worng! If You Learn To Do A ForHand Do It Right With Spin So Dont Do P;at

  • if u teach em both at the same time they'll be even better.... and those have no power and a little 5 year old wouldnt i=get it to the net with no follow through

  • This is another way than the way I train
