@graciayani March. I CAN'T WAIT! And just so you know, there's two or three correct choices for each of the squad assignments. For example, Tali or Legion for the vents; Thane, Grunt, Jack etc. to escort the crew back to the normandy; Garrus or Miranda for the second squad leader; Samara, Miranda or Jack for the barrier. As long as everyone's loyal and you have all the ship upgrades and as many other upgrades as possible, all of them will survive.

@DUNKlN If you assign non-loyal team members to specific jobs, they'll most likely die, so that might be the way to go. On my last runthrough she was my only non-loyal member, and I didn't have her with me, and she died

@DUNKlN No, anyone with you who is not loyal at the final boss will die. Leave Miranda to hold the line and she should be fine. I would suggest taking the weakest defenders with you to the final battle, leaving as strong a team as possible to hold the line.

1. Loyalty isn't required on everyone on lower difficulties. My Jack was de-loyaled after her catfight with Miranda.

2. Every upgrade except the Medi-bay is required.

3. Vents: Tali or legion will work.

4. Fire team (both times): Garrus, Miranda, or Jacob all have "combat leadership" experience.

5. Samara is a better biotic. Jack only works if you bought her biotic upgrade.

6. Mordin as escort works best. Leave behind the "direct combat" characters. My final team was miranda/thane.

When the collector general is trying to save the station and the camera was panning up, I still thought the general WAS Harbinger. Then I realized it was a reaper and was controlling the general the the music got more epic and o my god it was just so awesome. Then to top it all off there's Harbinger leading the reaper armada into the galaxy. EPIC

@19Wylds95 actually if you were paying attention to both the ending and the end of the arrival DLC, you would know what Harbinger looks like. He is show when we see the hologram and when joker hands you the pad with the reaper pic on it. So, that Reaper is, in fact, Harbinger.

So, yes i can easily make the shape of Harbinger and tell that it is him. just get Arrival and watch the conversation sheperd has at the end with Harbinger after you beat the main story. it will be clear that the one in the center was Harbinger.

@lgvamos3 It doesn't make any difference. No matter what you do, Male Shep sounds like a douchebag, the dialogue is terrible and the direction is lacking. If you go with Fem Shep, you might want to fiddle with her face a bit, as the default is a little down syndrome with no cheekbones and a massive overbite.

Also not sure I get the point of having everyone survive. It just means you have to suspend your disbelief that much more.

@crazycatsex alright, this is what i do, theres loads of other ways but this is what i do (on the suicide mission). Alll ship upgrades, all loyalty missions, as soon as the crew get captured i go through the omega 4 relay. Garrus leads other team both times it asks you. Take Tali and Mordin with me all the time. Get Legion to go through the vents and hack the doors. Grunt to take survivors back to the ship, Samara for biotic shield and Mordin and Tali with me for final battle. All will survive.

Oh, I didn't know Jack could maintain the field. I also didn't know Legion could open the doors through the vents. The upgrades and loyalty were a nobrainer though. I did the final mission this way with the same result:

1: Have Miranda or Garrus lead the second squad.

2: Send Tali or Kasumi through the vents to open the doors.

3: Have Jacob escort the crew back.

4: Have Samara maintain the Biotic Field.

Works just as well. ;)

Legion in the ventilation shaft, he's a very good technician. Garrus command the second team, he's a good leader and one loyal and old friend. Samara with the biotic barrier, she's powerfull and trusty. Grunt with Shepard, in front of him, he's very good in close combat, with claymore pistol in hand. Tali with Shepard, she like's Shepard. Jacob lead the survivors back to Normandy, good and loyal soldier. Not the only conbination, but for me works perfectly.

All 10 of my team are loyal and alive. My Shepard has level 27. In ME1 I save the Council (Shepard has level 50). Why? Because all the species have rights, and now respect us, despite the Council actions. In ME2 I destroy the Colector base. Why? 1. I don't thrust TIM and Cerberus. 2. Who know to use that tech ? 3. It'a a risk someone to be subducted.

its just how we are as humans, we idolise our own shepard because of the experiences we've had with them and reject any other shepard.

Anyway, the default custom shepard has a kind of light blonde/red buzz cut haircut and no facial hair. the same face shape as normal shepard.

@CommanderLink I dunno, i feel like Mass Effect should be like living a life of a hero. Some might prefer to actually BE that hero, but that just kinda ruins the beuty of it.

When you create your character you probably go like: IM THE HERO I RULE or something, but when you have the default one, the one that actually fits the story perfectly then you kinda start idolizing him and not himself.

You want to be like Shepard. Either way, this discussion will have no end. Default still wins for me.
