14 years ago I got clean and sober. I got my confidence, self respect, family, job, and spirituality back when I did this. One of the biggest influences in keeping my faith strong was this song. I heard it on a local Denver Christian radio station, The Point, and it caught my spirit and lifted it up. Thank you, Ginny for the help. I did not know that you were blind at the time but when I found out, it made me want to be even more faithful. I am so Blessed to have found Christ in you.

The searching and emptiness we all share can ONLY be filled by our Creator - He created us with eternity in our hearts. You need nothing too complicated to walk along w/ Jesus and never ever be alone again, simply give your life away to Him, and He will give you so much more than you gave away. Be certain, He hears you and He wants to do a lot more for you, because he doesn't only hears you. He loves you deeply.
@CeeTinaFREAK As a Christian, praying to God is my strength. Knowing that I'm not alone but also I am relying on God who knows EVERYTHING. So when I fight my battles I am able to pray to God for help and direction rather than waste time trying to figure it out for myself. And God will fight for me in areas I never knew existed. God is real, He loves you and He wants a relationship with you and it's when you accept Jesus that you can be absolutely certain you are truly not alone.

honestly, as a Christian- or a human rather, it's so hard to accept life as it is. the first sign of trial, we think the titanic is sinking. this song has helped me through SO much. and when i had first heard it, i had no idea the impact it would have on my life. In an age where it's obvious that many people do not fear God, this song speaks to hearts and personifies the challenges of a faith driven life. It's a tear-jerker in my book, so intense and encouraging. Praise God.
Thank you I saw Ginny on the Hour of Power yesterday. She is blind (I mean as far as her physical sight anyway) so I know she means these words, the words and the music seeps into your heart like the winter wind between the cracks of a window and you feel it all over your being and know that I/you are not the only ones out there hurting we all have to walk through the fire so let's take it as an opportunity to love each other just a little more...

Ginny is one of my favorites... and this is my favorite song by her. You should read her story... amazing. She is blind and has faced many discriminating trials because of it. My mother-in-law and I were very close. She was diagnosed with cancer and fought for 1.5 years. When she was on the doorstep of Heaven, I listened to this CD, especially this one and "Be Still My Soul". It gave me such a sence of the closeness and presence of God and it helped me get thru losing one of the best friends I've ever known.
I love this song! When my I was a kid, my best friend's dad got stationed in south Carolina (he was in the Navy) and they had to move away, her mom asked my mom to sing this song in church on their last Sunday. What a beautifl and encouraging message. Thanks for posting!

A few months ago, there was a youth function at a mall. My youth group had split into several groups. To make a long story short, I ended up getting left by myself. I felt so lonely. As I stood there alone with tears streaming down my face, God brought this song to my memory:

At times like these, when I don't have His word with me, I need to remain extra close to Him and try extra hard to pray and love him so I don't give into my flesh. But sometimes I feel like I dont have time for God with homework and extra curricular activities and it sickens me everytime I try to pray but just fall asleep and wake up in the morning and realize I didnt say my prayers.

i know you feel really alone. but just remember that God is always with you. you have the holy spirit living inside of you. just keep praying for your parents. i dont know if you are involved in any christian fellowship but it would be a good idea to have some christian friends you can study the word with and can pray with. they can be a source of encouragement and keep you focused on God, let me know how i can help!
this song really describes my situation. I believe, my parents don't but God is getting me through all of these trials. My parents took away my Bible so I had to sneak it back. But sometimes I feel really alone.
You know I was having issues with my walk with god and every time I got to where god wanted me be I would always fall I always felt like god wasn't there and he didnt care but then i went to church and god spoke to me that day and told me worry not my children for i am always with you come to me my children and i did and i will never leave god

my dad's side of the family are not believers and i've gone through some trials as well. you can be an incredible light for your family; maybe the only bit of Christ they see. God's letting you go through these trials because He has a specific role for you. Don't be discouraged! He's doing something big with your life!

honestly, as a Christian- or a human rather, it's so hard to accept life as it is. the first sign of trial, we think the titanic is sinking. this song has helped me through SO much. and when i had first heard it, i had no idea the impact it would have on my life. In an age where it's obvious that many people do not fear God, this song speaks to hearts and personifies the challenges of a faith driven life. It's a tear-jerker in my book, so intense and encouraging. Praise God.

Thank you I saw Ginny on the Hour of Power yesterday. She is blind (I mean as far as her physical sight anyway) so I know she means these words, the words and the music seeps into your heart like the winter wind between the cracks of a window and you feel it all over your being and know that I/you are not the only ones out there hurting we all have to walk through the fire so let's take it as an opportunity to love each other just a little more...

Ginny is one of my favorites... and this is my favorite song by her. You should read her story... amazing. She is blind and has faced many discriminating trials because of it. She wrote this song when she was looking for work and noone would hire her.She was going to be a music teacher and look what God did! His plans are always bigger than our own

This song expresses just how I feel, and have felt through the last couple of months. Its funny how God turns the worst experiences of life into a journey that leads you back to him and a dependence on his love.If I had a foresight of it all, I probably won't have chosen to walk this path of brokenness that I have and am still walking in. My mother-in-law and I were very close. She was diagnosed with cancer and fought for 1.5 years. When she was on the doorstep of Heaven, I listened to this CD, especially this one and "Be Still My Soul". It gave me such a sence of the closeness and presence of God and it helped me get thru losing one of the best friends I've ever known.

i LOVE this song so much! i have had many struggles over the past 5 years, and whenever i get really down or feel really alone i listen to this song, and it reminds me that i am never alone, and that Jesus is always there beside me. my fave part is when it says...may not be the way i would have chosen, when you lead me through a world that's not my home, but you never said it would be easy, you only said i'd never go alone... this could not be more true for me! thanks for posting!

A few months ago, there was a youth function at a mall. My youth group had split into several groups. To make a long story short, I ended up getting left by myself. I felt so lonely. As I stood there alone with tears streaming down my face, God brought this song to my memory:

I think even the strongest believers have moments of troubled doubts ,when trusting God seems to be the hardest thing in the world no matter how much they know or seen on their path, This song just reminded me how important it is to look back and see how much I changed and strive for utter trust between me and Papa. :(, my parents found my Bible again. They took it away again. At times like these, when I don't have His word with me, I need to remain extra close to Him and try extra hard to pray and love him so I don't give into my flesh. But sometimes I feel like I dont have time for God with homework and extra curricular activities and it sickens me everytime I try to pray but just fall asleep and wake up in the morning and realize I didnt say my prayers.

This is my favorite Ginny Owens song. It fills me with so much hope and faith that I will never walk alone through all of my trials and tribulations in life.
I'm going through a rough stage in my life, but my faith in my God has been unwavering. And because of that I know he is sheltering and protecting me, and guiding me towards a better time and place. And I am prepared to follow the path that He sets before me.

i know you feel really alone. but just remember that God is always with you. you have the holy spirit living inside of you. just keep praying for your parents. i dont know if you are involved in any christian fellowship but it would be a good idea to have some christian friends you can study the word with and can pray with. they can be a source of encouragement and keep you focused on God, let me know how i can help!

this song really describes my situation. I believe, my parents don't but God is getting me through all of these trials. My parents took away my Bible so I had to sneak it back. But sometimes I feel really alone.

You know I was having issues with my walk with god and every time I got to where god wanted me be I would always fall I always felt like god wasn't there and he didnt care but then i went to church and god spoke to me that day and told me worry not my children for i am always with you come to me my children and i did and i will never leave god

my dad's side of the family are not believers and i've gone through some trials as well. you can be an incredible light for your family; maybe the only bit of Christ they see. God's letting you go through these trials because He has a specific role for you. Don't be discouraged! He's doing something big with your life!
